The appointment went quite well. The provider was very understanding about how the warts were bothering my son. He explained the nature of warts, the various treatments, and his opinion on what we should do, but allowed us to choose the ultimate course of action. He froze some of them, and then prescribed some wart cream from a compounding pharmacy that invented and makes their own cream. We have had varied success, but it is also difficult to make the daily applications happen with a busy young kid, so some of it is probably patient error. Also, as he told us, warts are really a virus, and rather difficult to treat. We have since moved away (and he knew we were going to be moving) so follow-up treatment at the same clinic was not possible, otherwise we would definitely have gone back.

He was just rude and I was crying by the time I got out the door. He has no bedside manner. He just kind of looked at the problem and was very rude when I went up to look in the mirror to see what he was talking about. He said would you please seat down, you’re making me nervous. He did it twice and that upset me. I was so upset that I wouldn’t even talk to him. He just kept asking and I said no, no. Then he sat down and I said I’m sorry, as far as I’m concerned, this is over. I said I’m going and walked out.

After my initial biopsy, Dr. Colleran called me to say this was melanoma and we needed to do something about it ASAP. She talked to me about it, left the numbers I could reach her and we moved forward. She was wonderful and very proactive throughout the whole thing. I did have a pretty wide excision in the middle of my back which required daily dressing changes so I was at their office all the time for a few months! They were always great and she would check it once a week or so. Now I will need to get skin checks more frequently but I am so grateful to her for, really, saving my life. I am fortunate because I had that melanoma patch for two years!!!!

I really like the staff. She was very nice. She seems pretty knowledgeable. She had a good idea of what treatment would help my particular problem. The treatment worked well within two months.
