Joel was recommended to me by my neighbor that used his company for their radon mitigation system the previous year. Joel came out to give me a quote for a system and was very professional and courteous as he discussed my options for placement of the system and the cost. He was able to install the system the following week and they were very punctual and the entire system was installed in under two hours. He explained the covering that was placed on my sump pump hole to seal it and how the mitigation system worked and answered all my questions. I was very happy with the placement of the pvc tubing in my basement floor as they placed it in a closet out of site in my finished basement. He left me a radon test kit which I will use after giving the system a couple weeks to do it’s job. Joel and the guy that worked with him came with face masks on (as this was during the Covid pandemic) and they were both very friendly and professional and I would highly recommend them.

We are very pleased with the home inspection and radon testing services that Greg offered us! We received a super-thorough inspection report that's helping us improve the quality of our 1950s-era midtown Omaha home. And as first-time home buyers, we were a bit overwhelmed with all the moving pieces of financing and closing on a house. Luckily, we chose the right inspection and radon testing company, so that was one less thing to overthink! We appreciated Greg's thoroughness, helpful tips, and "tell it like it is" attitude. We highly recommend going with F2R if you're in need of an honest home inspection and radon testing company!

Joel provided a detailed description of possible radon mitigation options and estimates for each. On the day of service, his crew showed up on time and tested the pressure for the three possible options and advised me on their recommendation. They completed the job in about 3 hours - sealing both of my sump pumps while preserving access and installing a fan to vent the radon to the exterior of the house. After install, our radon levels tested below the recommended limit. Would definitely recommend doing business with the Professional House Doctors!

    MIDWEST RADON
We knew we likely had radon issues because the realtor told us the reading was 16. Midwest confirmed with their tests that it was 14. I engage them as the least expensive of the full service, reputable, radon mitigation services in the area. Our home has two crawlspaces separated by a finished basement so it created a problem for the budget services like the Radon SWAT Team. The fact that they would not even send someone out to estimate suggested that they were going to be less effective at dealing with my issues. Midwest came out on a couple of different occasions because of the delay that we had in committing to the treatment. They also were willing to spend a lot of time with me trying to design a system that would be low profile and as well as effective. I was very pleased to see them try to keep our expense as little as possible and not install two systems. I was also pleased that they were did willing to do the extra work to put the fan in the attic above the garage and virtually eliminate any signs of active treatment. They were flexible in their scheduling and brought out a crew of three to do the work. They were fast and efficient and were able to be in and out of our home that day. They wanted to determine if the initial system was adequate to lower the reading over all before considering installing a secondary system. Thankfully, their multi-day analysis showed a level of one. I confirmed it several weeks later by ordering a test online that also came back as one. While the $2645 that we spent was a lot, we no longer have to worry about radon or its impact on the salability of the house.

Neighbors Heating Cooling Plumbing & Geothermal
A home we had bought needed radon mitigation to reduce the radon level below the EPA recommended 4 pCi/L level. Being an older home which had been extensively added onto by previous owners, the construction which included approx. 1/3 over a small basement, 1/3 over two separate areas of concrete slab, and 1/3 over a very low overhead clearance crawl space complicated consideration of how best to correct the radon issue. Before contacting Neighbors Plumbing, Heating, A/C & Radon I had visited with and received estimates from several other companies but the only option they presented was variations of the usual sub-slab depressurization type system, which would have presented complications to install in this application and been very time-consuming. When I contacted Neighbors, after inspecting our home, in addition to the usual sub-slab depressurization method their very knowledgable representative Randy Newman was able to present a quote for an entirely different available radon reduction option, installation of the RenewAire Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) system. It's cost was competitive with the other options, and the unit itself very well adapted to both the location where it would be installed and the existing radon levels we wished to lower. So we scheduled an installation date. The installation went perfectly in every way, from the arrival of Randy and Scott around 8:30am until completion by noon. They managed to mount the ERV unit in the most ideal location, a small upper storage 'attic' above a bedroom with short runs of duct work, carefully and logically laid out to conserve space. The workmanship and efficiency by Randy and Scott in completing this installation was really exceptional, the system works exactly as expected. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend calling Neighbors for an estimate on any radon mitigation work you are considering!

    Thrasher Inc
Great Job We needed some work done and at the home show we chatted with Thrasher and had an appointment set , the estimator came wrote a contract, so far normal right , well here is what impressed me. they came to do the work and a glitch accord, after a phone call to me and a conversation the crew took care of the issue and completed the job. And to a standard you don't see any more. The amount of money was large to me but not the largest job they do, buy was done as if was a million dollar one!

Tim the technician was early, did the inspection. Showed us how to check & change the filter on our system and then gave us an estimate on a dehumidifier for our whole house. Great job!

They came out 3 times, because the wet clay ground under my slab made it very difficult to get the radon level where I wanted it. They were very gracious and tweaked the system without complaint. They finally had to put in a second pipe. They were professional, courteous and prompt, and on the third try the levels went down to about 2, which is a good level.

They came on time. Their vehicle was clearly marked and they were in uniform of the company. They took care not to damage anything in the house. They pointed out another challenge we had when a circuit breaker snapped. They preformed the work very well. They even saved us money by changing the system slightly while installing. I will use them again in the future and will recommend them to my friends.

Neighbors came out, looked things over and gave us an estimate.  They made sure we understood how the work would be done and what was and was not included in the estimate. The crews actually arrived exactly when they said they would.  Each crew was very nice.  They explained anything I asked and really went out of their way to accommodate me.  They did absolutely everything they said they would with some extras thrown in.  They made sure everything was done properly to work effectively and efficiently. I can't say enough about how great these guys are!!  We've been snug and warm on the coldest (-25) of days. These folks know how to do business the way it should be done. I would not think twice about using "Neighbors" again and I recommend them to everyone.
