    Edgewood Animal Hospital
Sadly, I have to share a negative experience with this place. I hope it was simple miscommunication on their part, but we were mislead and then dismissed either way. We requested through their app to only have shots administered to Gomez, our cat. We asked specifically when an employee came to our car window to pick Gomez up to take him inside (COVID-19 precautions so they get kudos there), that he only receive shots. The employee responded, "Yes, just his shots." However, on receiving a call and the bill, instead of just being billed for the shot we were billed for a physical exam as well, despite not having marked this on the app. When I said that we hadn't asked for this and didn't want to be charged the $55 dollars for the exam, I was put on hold for close to 5 minutes and then was told that "the employee had talked to the Vet, and they'd said the exam was mandatory for him to receive the shots". This upset me, as this was new information that differed from their app's choices. I asked to not be charged and said I couldn't afford that as I had budgeted accordingly and with COVID I was low on cash. They offered a payment plan. We ended up putting it on a card and leaving, quite upset. I cannot recommend a business that hides charges like this and when confronted, backs them up with false claims. Online research shows that it is entirely possible for a vet to simply administer an animals shots, instead it seems many prefer to add a 5-10 minute "physical exam" and slap it on the bill as a money-making device. If you're low on cash, avoid this place unless you get everything in writing.

    Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital
We are so happy to have found Colonial Terrace. We moved for Portland,Or to Platteville, WI and needed to locate a new vet. The first one we went to in Platteville was such a disappointment. They had no compassion or empathy. So when we found Colonial while driving around we stopped by and talked with Denise. She took the time to tell us about the facility and about each of the doctors. Our first visit with our new puppy was with Dr McClain. She was wonderful. She got on the floor and “loved” on our puppy like it was hers. She spent the time with us to explain the services in detail. We had an emergency with our puppy and adult dog on two separate occasions. Dr McCleary took care of both of them. She was amazing. She explained everything step by step. And took the time to follow up with us after each procedure. We really appreciated Dr McCleary’s phone calls and her genuine concern. Dr McCleary and Dr McClain along with the staff have been kind, gentle, empathetic, communicative, and show a genuine love of what they do through their exemplary service. We couldn’t be happier that we found Colonial Terrace to take care of our three fur babies!

    Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital
The doctor and staff were very courteous and professional. They did everything to make our new dog comfortable during the exam. They explained what tests they were doing and we got the results in a short time. They also answered all the questions we had without feeling rushed. The groomer was very knowledgeable and helped us decide on the best cut for our dog. We were able to pick him up in a couple of hours and he looked great. We plan to take him back when he needs to be groomed again. The boarding went better than we could have hoped. We were able to bring any toys or blankets etc and the staff again were very professional. It was nice to have everything available at one place and we highly recommend them.

    Family Pet Hospital LLC
Recently, our puppy, Izzy began acting very strangely. She was sluggish, non-responsive, and acted like she was experiencing a lot of pain in her abdomen. We did not have an appointment at Family Pet Hospital, but they didn't hesitate to welcome us. Initially, we thought that she had the flu, but through a blood test, the doctors helped us figure out that she had ingested an alarming amount of rat poison. Needless to say, my wife and I were extremely concerned. Immediately, the doctors prescribed a large dose of Vitamin K. They explained to us that she would need to receive a shot of Vitamin K for the next few days, along with Vitamin K pills for the next thirty days. They showed me how to administer the shot so that I would know how to give her a proper injection. Before we left the office, Izzy experienced a seizure, which I found out later is common for her breed to experience when under extreme stress. My wife and I were terrified, but the doctors and assistants immediately transitioned into triage procedures with professionalism and care for her (and our) wellbeing. The doctor sedated Izzy and immediately hooked her up to oxygen support and IV. Meanwhile, the assistant kept us updated about her condition and comforted us by reassuring us of the doctors' expertise in these situations. Following the incident, the doctor gave us a thorough report, detailing what happened in terms we could understand. She explained what we should expect in the coming days, and gave us an emergency contact number. She insisted that if we had any concerns at all to call immediately, even in the middle of the night. My wife and I are overjoyed with the service at Family Pet Hospital! Not only are the people exceedingly knowledgeable and professional, they are also friendly and genuinely concerned for your pet's wellbeing. Animal lovers know that their pets are a part of the family, and the experts at Family Pet Hospital will treat your pet like one of their own. If you live in the Platteville area, and you care about your pet, there is simply no other option than Family Pet Hospital.

It's always a good experience taking our pet to the Key West Animal Clinic. They take great care of all the animal that come in to the building. The front desk staff is friendly and conversational, recognising pets after only a few visits. I highly recommend this Clinic for your pets.

They are excellent.  I love them out there.  They are wonderful.  I go to them at least annually, mostly for vaccinations but if I need anything they can easily get us right in.  I have 2 extremely large dogs, they charged around $300 per dog for vaccination, checkup, tests and everything.  My dogs take more quantity of vaccinations, otherwise they are less expensive.  They have a great staff.  I would use them again in the future.

I've got a dog who I absolutely SPOIL rotten (as do my parents and sisters when I go to visit them). So, when I took my new job in Iowa, I needed a place to watch her throughout the day - she has major abandonment issues, and I was not willing to leave her alone in my apartment all day (besides, she would tear up the carpet and bark like crazy if I did). She was abandoned as an adult dog, and I got her from a shelter in Fort Wayne in 2008, and she follows me like a shadow on a sunny day. If she can't see me, she immediately looks for me. ANYHOO... I took Willow (the dog, not the tree) to PetMed to drop her off the first morning, and the folks there were abolutely wonderful. Willow took to them very quickly. Every time I come to pick her up, she's happy to see me, but more importantly she's HAPPY! Both vets are ladies as are their entire staff, and you can tell they love animals. They've got a cat who wanders the place (or, since it's a cat, OWNS the place) and lounges on the top of the computer monitor. They are the types of people who spoil their animals (in the good way, not the bad way), and understand why we spoil ours as well. At my last vet (Dr. Fretz, in Fort Wayne, who Willow absolutely LOVED - heck, she would drag me TO the vet's office, she liked it that much), Willow had to have a small lump removed from one shoulder, and I was told that if she sported another one, it might indicate a possible tumour/cancer problem. Well, sure enough, another one cropped up on her left hind leg. The doctors there removed it and did an excellent job with the stitches (very close and even), and then gave Willow "the cone of shame". They rushed the biopsy and, thankfully, no signs of cancer. Heck, they called me at work to let me know the good news, instead of waiting for me to pick her up only a couple hours later. I initially had Willow in boarding only, because I was worried about her interaction with other dogs. When I take her for walks, if there's another dog nearby she'll get her hackles up and start barking and straining at the leash. But they do have "doggy day-care" at PetMed, and so I had them give it a try. She LOVED it - she interacts with the other dogs quite well when "daddy" ain't around, so it must be some protective thing, but the point is that the vets and the staff there were able to judge and watch over Willow to ensure her happiness and safety. Their office is very convenient, located in downtown Dubuque not too far from where I work, so I drop Willow off in the morning and pick her up on the way back home. The office is quite clean, the parking area is large enough to get in and out of (and there's metered parking at the front door in case it's raining for a quick drop-off). I can (and do) recommend PetMed and its staff highly and heartily! If there was a score higher than A, they'd get it!
