Very well! They were thoughtful about cutting the linoleum in the area where concrete had to be poured. They involved my husband in the repair every step of the way. My husband was surprised when it was time to pick up our daughter from school - he told them he'd just be out for ten minutes or so - and they offered to take a break and leave the house while he retrieved her.

Steve came out and gave us the estimate which is just what we paid. Nancy in the office is just so knowledgeable, and was a pleasure to deal with. 3 men came and ran almost the whole time they were here. They drilled 8 holes in basement wall and pushed rods out in the ground away from the house. After drilling down outside in dirt, they put large metal plates down and screwed the rods into the outside plates. They then put 8 large plates on basement wall and torqued them into place. This brought the wall in approx. 3/4 inch. As we took the cheaper plan, my husband has to go down and torque the screws once a month until it reaches a certain point. After the 1st month passed and my husband torqued the screws (as they showed him), there was very little leakage. After the 2nd month there was no leakage We are very happy. They tried to repair the lawn where the metal plates were put in and did a great job there. These men ran the whole time. They were amazing. Cleanup was satisfactory, everyone was courteous and explained when we had questions.

    TODD'S MUDJACKING SVC
The laborers were very nice and punctual, however the mudjacking cracked our sidewalk in 2 places and Todd's Mudjacking wouldn't repair it. The lifting of the driveway and sidewalk accomplished what we wanted but the seams along the driveway/garage area and the sidewalk/house/porch area were left up to us to seal with special sand and caulking which we weren't aware of at the onset or we would have had them do that too. Although you would think that would be part of the original job. Anyway, that added big time to the overall cost of the project plus labor my husband wasn't planning on having to do. Also, the holes they drilled and pumped the mudjack material into are still a different color than the cement and look terrible. In all of the after pictures on their website you don't see any of the mismatched coloration of the cement. We didn't realize it would look like that. Thought it would match the cement. All in all we weren't very happy with our overall experience and couldn't, in good conscience, recommend them or use them again. We now wish we had just gone with replacing these areas completely instead of taking the cheaper way out.

Asked for a quoate for mudjacking and they were very explicit that I needed to be home when the estimator arrived. They called the day before the appointment to confirm that I would be there when the estimator arrived at our appointment time in the afternoon. The morning of the estimate, the estimator caled to tell me that his schedule had changed and he would be there in the morning. I explained I would not be there until our appointment time in the afternoon, but he insisted on taking it upon himself to show up, look at my sidewalk and called to say he left his estimate in my front door. When I returned home the estimate was an illegible scribble that did not appear to address my concerns.

I highly recommend a patron seek a structural engineer’s recommendations prior to hiring Bix Basements for any foundation issues. This small action could have saved us thousands of dollars in unnecessary work. Bix did not have an engineer evaluate our home. We had a salesperson with “basic training” determine what issues he believed to be the problem, foundation settlement. The recommended solutions did not fix our floors, and we still have mold on our basement wall. We hired a structural engineer to review our situation following Bixs inability to correct the problem. The engineer informed us that our foundation was NOT settling instead we had old, improperly sized floor joists. We have contacted Bix multiple times to find a solution but were given unkept promises. Beware that the work description and contract are viewed on a small tablet. Our contract did not specify the exact description and specifications of the work to be done. Bix Basement also has given us the run around with issues on their PolyLevel warranty.

We asked to go up 3 foot, I paid $450 to a surveyor to get the heighth. After it was done, it ended up under 2 foot. He wasn't going to use seal plates. I began to complain, he jacked the home up and put some in. He didn't tighten them down properly. He put decks on the house, didn't tighten them down properly as well. They are crooked. He has very shoddy work. The estimates to fix what he didn't do was about $20,000. We are currently in litigation.
