    Starch Pet Hospital
The experience there keeps getting worse. Charging for services that weren't performed. There rude and unprofessional. This time they refused to do the exam then wouldn't give me my dog back. I will never go back to this place again . In fact I will be posting my experience on all social media sites over the next couple days.

We have used Heartland Animal Hospital for the past 19 years! They are super people and love the pets they are seeing. Expert, professional and experienced veterinarians on staff! All of the Vet techs are wonderful and experts, too.

Dr. Janssen and his staff are awesome. we have two dogs, a Pug and Snorky, and we have been using these guys for over 3 years. They always treat my pets like they are a member of my family and I feel, are genuine in there affection for my animals. I have always been given very detailed answers to all of my concerns and the possible treatments of any issues we have had. I appreciated that they give me real treatment solutions and not inflate my bills with extra non-essentials that I have experienced with other provides. Recently Shadow, my Snorky, had an injury and I was able to get an appointment the next day, saw Dr. Janssen and he was able to perform the procedure that day and Shadow is feeling much better already. These guy really are amazing.

the vets didn't seem very knowlegable. On top of that they were afraid of the dog. they charged me for a heart worm test and to get the nails clipped. and only did half the job. they told me I had credit when I made the appointment cause I paid to much the last visit. when checking out they added more money on top of the services that were not performed aka the heart worm test. I will not go back to this office again. finally found a vet with integrity and ethics.

They are excellent. They are not only excellent and very caring, they are very affordable and thorough. I would highly recommend them. I can't think of anything they do that isn't perfect. I have went to other vets before and they were very expensive and the care was less that what I am getting now and it is 1/3rd the cost. My wife heard about them through a co-worker.

I have a very anxious dog and they handled it fabulously! I was very comfortable with the staff and the facilities are very clean and well kept. My dog was excited to see me and go home with me, but he did not display nearly the level of anxiety he has coming home from other boarders.

They go every Wednesday.I use them for both boarding and day care. My dogs love to go there. They're happy to get to go in the door so that's very key. My advice is don't be late picking up; they charge you in five minute increments if you're late. And they get to a point where they let their staff go and they board the dog overnight. They're very up front about it, and they tend to give you a little bit of leeway unless they're at a point where you just get charged for boarding all night. They keep the dog overnight because they can't keep the dog there indefinitely. I buy a package and they do discounts for multiple dogs in the family. It's not a per pound pricing, so it doesn't matter if puppy gains weight, you're not going over a threshold. A dog is a dog. They have lots of little extras that they'll let you add on; not as much as a nationally known provider, for goodness sake, but they'll do like a call over lunch hour or in the evening to keep her calm, and stuff like that. I think daycare - which they are full, they are not taking new clients on daycare right now, they just sent that out - I wanna say that single visits, full day, is $22 per dog, and the second dog is a little bit cheaper, I believe. Boarding is $31 a night for the first three nights; over that, it goes down. It's a kennel; they've got suite boarding and stuff like that too. I had punch cards for my last boarding stay, so I ended up paying like $26; that was a deal. But for daycare I buy a ten day pass and then split it between the two dogs and I paid $190 for it. Their pricing is cheaper than other places I was using. They're good with the animals.

It cost $45 and I gave them a $10 tip to go towards a donation or whatever, because it was for a Feral cat. For pricing, I would give anything higher than an “A”. This is a wonderful organization.

I took my Poodle mix (Molly) there because she was not eating and would vomit when trying to drink water Tuesday 1/3/2017 about noon. They said they would like to keep her overnight and give her an IV with something in it to fight infection in the bladder after doing some tests on her, I agreed. Wednesday morning, 1/4/2017, I called to see how she was doing and they wanted to put her on something else so I went out to visit her about 2:00 PM and they said they wanted to keep her another night to see how the new medicine would do. Thursday morning, 1/5/2017 about 7:17 AM I got the call that Molly had just passed. I am afraid that I have joined Angie's List to late as I see no reviews on this clinic, good or bad, but if I had it to do again I would not take my pet there as I have learned there is no one on duty from about 11:00 PM until about 6:00 AM. Who knows what Molly went through in the night. My wish is that I had taken her home Wednesday so if she had to pass, she could do it at home. I have the feeling the hospital would have kept her another day or two even if they knew she was going to pass for the money. It cost me $800.00 for roughly 43 hours of care. I would not take my pet there again. Sorry.

They're very close also. We just really liked everybody there, they're so nice, they got us in so fast and so easy, it seems like no matter what time I arrive, they're just ready for me, always quick, they're just great overall.
