    Lil' Brother Construction
Lil Brother helped me get my house ready to go on the market. Their work was exceptional. They were timely, polite, kept me updated when there were adjustments to be made including catching a small roof leak I had missed. They are always my first choice when I need repairs around the house. In addition to their high quality of work they are also dedicated to service in our community. Jean and Steve run their business with the highest level of integrity.

I really hate to give Tim this review, because when people find out how good he is, he will get too busy and it will be hard to get on his schedule, but Mawdsley Home Improvement is a well run company and I heartily recommend the service. The first contact was a call from his wife to schedule an appointment. She was extremely friendly and efficient. When Tim found he was running late for the appointment, he called before he was late. He gave a reasonable quote, scheduled the work and showed up on time. Everything was done as promised. He didn't leave a mess. He even took pictures during the job to show us things that were too high for us to see. I ordered the replacement screen door and it has not arrived yet, but I am confident Tim will do the same great job when the door arrives.

There was some rotted wood surrounding our front door. The emails requesting an estimate were answered promptly and courteously. Scheduling took about a week so that was terrific. The 2 workers showed up when they said they would. Entire job was completed over 2 days, the first day removing the old wood and replacing it and the second day was for caulking, painting, finish work. Progress was reported at each step and recommendations made/followed. The quality of the work appears to be good but only time will tell. So they got an A for a good deal of the work. However, I gave them a C for the following: finish work was extremely sloppy, old caulking was not removed but painted over, cigarette butts in grass, etc. They were punctual, friendly and easy to work with but plan to spend some time cleaning up. My husband spent 4 hours scraping caulk off the brick surrounding door, policing the grass for debris, and scrubbing some type of drips off the storm window. If it takes some elbow grease to clean up after them BUT the work is solid, I feel that is a fair trade off. We would hire again but allow for lots of detail work when they finish.

    Lil' Brother Construction
Needed to replace/repair some rotted cedar siding on two-story house. Received prompt response to request for estimate. Not the lowest bid, but other Angie's List reviews regarding professionalism and customer service were persuasive. And I was not disappointed! Crew was always on time and always took care to communicate plans and progress. Quality of work was excellent -- the company prides itself on working on a job as if your home were their home, and it shows. Their attention to detail exceeded expectations. I was relying on their good judgment as craftsmen to recommend limiting or expanding the scope of work as needed -- they always took the time to do that and I never sensed that I was being pushed to do anything silly. In fact, as it turned out, the final cost of the job was significantly less than originally estimated. I will definitely call Lil Brothers first for my next project and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

    Bob The Builder LLC
Bob Coffey (Bob the Builder) was paid deposits to get items started and draws to keep work going. Never started some projects he was paid deposits for. Never finished other projects he was paid for. Other items that were purchased by owner came up missing. Do not hire. There are too many other honest, reputable people that would like the work.

    Professional Handyman Services of Ankeny
The job went great. A tree limb yanked my cable wire out of the siding. Jesse showed up on time, got the cable reattached without a hitch, and then, the really great thing is, because it was a simple job, he gave me a discount on the price. He was nice and polite, but still professional.

    Mid States Carpenters Group Corporation
Judd and team did a great job of working with me to complete this job. We discussed the project in detail to determine what needed to be complete by him, and what I might could do on my own. I am very happy with the work he performed. He was also careful to ensure the removal of the old header was not as destructive as it could have been. For example, in my case, the walls were built in a way that the garage sheet rock did not need to be removed, and he ensured he did not remove any of it. This made the project much easier to complete.

    Handy Guy
Jennifer and Jeremy scheduled a day where the weather permitted the outdoor work. Jeremy explained what needed to be done and explained the procedure and materials that he was going to use. Once the "OK" was issued, he completed the work in a professional manner. I was very happy with the work that was completed!

    Iowa Extreme Concrete
Jose, the owner, is very polite, listens well, and is very good at what he does. The crew was prompt, professional, and did a great job cleaning up after they were done. They took their time, with the concrete, to make sure that it was cured correctly. Both the patio and fence turned out great and exactly what I asked for.

    Mark'S Home Improvment
Mark was prompt and efficient with the work and was there on the days he said he'd be. The work was completed in about 3 days. The house was built in 1920, which can cause some issues, but the doors, windows, light and gutters were all installed within the past 20 years. There were still some issues due to the previous installations (caused by the people who did the previous work), but Mark was able to make adjustments with everything. I'm very happy and impressed with how everything looks and will definitely call him again when I need more work done.
