    custom electrical services
The work was done well and in a little over an hour. However, the price was $750, and I paid it only because I was short on time and didn't have an advance estimate. The material cost of the service could not have been more than a $100--I checked--so I paid $650 for labor and overhead. That's far too much, but I had my back to a wall. The reason it was so expensive is because they charge based on a flat fee, e.g., $150 a GFCI breaker, which is already high, but most mundane tasks don't take very much time and such a breaker shouldn't cost more than $30 retail. There is absolutely no excuse for those prices; it's price-gouging.

    On Time Professionals
I highly recommend OnTime Professional Electrical Services to ANYONE! I hired them to look at my dining room lights that were not working. They took the time to find the issue, explain it, and provide a solution. Id hire them back in a heartbeat!!

    Kaas Electric Inc
Jim and Dan were great to work with. Dan came first to check the project out, and then had Jim come to give me an estimate. Jim took the time to go through the house and explain exactly what work needed to be done. They had MidAmerican run service to the side of the house, then ran a meter main from the side of the house through the crawlspace to the location of the old panel. They then put the new panel in and wired everything up, along with upgrading the grounding system. They left the work site as clean as they found it. I will definitely be saving Jim's contact information for my future electrical needs.

Bob was a knowledgeable professional who methodically checked switches and outlets on the "dead" circuit until he found the culprit which, when rewired appropriately, opened the entire circuit for service. Along the way, he fixed minor wiring mistakes that, for instance, restored the proper functioning of a three-way switch. Bob also wisely recommended the replacement of the breaker serving the circuit, reducing its amperage to a safer level. The process went well with no wasted time; it was joy to observe and learn.

Nationwide construction, Inc. Basim Al Bakri
The owner, Basim was a great salesman, he said he had nine guys who each were certified and licensed in their specialties. After several days of the worst drywall work and electrical mishaps we began to question his employees. Come to find out he was stopping out to the half-way house and asking ex-convicts if they had experience in building. Which would be great, Im all about second chances, but we were never informed that all five people he had in our house were released to him from a prison-to-release program. Only one guy actually seemed qualified. My house has been left in utter chaos. Basim bought the the cheapest low quality tools, drywall, and mud then left the guys at my house with no drop clothes, ladders or lunch. Im questioning the legitimacy of his entire operation. If I knew who to turn him in to, I would. Stay clear of this one! He also had two of the guys remove asbestos laced vermiculite insulation after I sent him the EPAs web page describing the dangers. I told the guys not to do it, they said Basim told them to bag it up or theyd get fired if they didnt. Who does that? The next day he told me he fired them because they didnt listen and he told them not to mess with it. This was completely not true. I was standing there when he told them to remove it and I was standing there when one of the guys called him on the phone after I told them it could be asbestos and they shouldnt be in the room with it. Basim told them it wasnt asbestos and to bag it up. The later photos show AFTER the qualified guy worked on scraping off gobs of drywall mud. The drop cloths are mine. This is where we finally had enough and fired Basim. The box of tools is what he supplied his guys. The grinding saw is what he wanted them to cut my fireplace surround tiles with.

Wow. What a great find! Keshia And Charlie did a top notch job on our backsplash. They were friendly, consistent and precise. My only regret is not hiring them sooner. Very thankful that we found such good, hard working people for the job. Highly recommended, we would use them again and recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

    Mr Electric of Central Iowa
Could not be happier with experience, largely due to the professionalism of the technician. Gary took time to explain the issues, made sure we knew what the problems were (there were a lot) and really worked hard to fix them, spending a lot of time to have it done right. We will most definitely call Mr. Electric when the time comes to upgrade our breaker, do other updates. It was expensive but given the amount of work done and good experience we had with the technician, I think it was very fair.

Bob called the evening (after hours) we placed our service request with Angie's List. Gave us a couple ideas on things to try before services might be needed, unfortunately they didn't work, but fortunately we found Bob! He came over the next day after talking to us and explaining his rates up front. He worked hard in a very hot trailer. He was focused and very organized too. Even had to run to the local hardware store twice to get specialized parts for the different problems he encountered! Very professional, and personable. He didn't leave any messes behind. For a reasonable rate we got our work completed. We are highly satisfied. Will recommend him to others beyond Angie's List.
