AFriend LandscapingMy basement got flooded couple of years ago due to heavy rains over july 4th weekend. It’s due to my home seller’s poor landscaping work. Bill worked on this project in April 2020, and fixed this grading issue around my window well. He also did a really nice landscaping work around it, installed drain tail, catch basins, grounded gutters, and adjusted grading to improve drainage, reseeded the area. Bill and his crew is very professional and they finished the project couple of days early. He kept us in the loop throughout the project, answered lot of questions and made this expensive project less stressful. I been wanting to see how his grading project is going to work during heavy rains. Finally yesterday evening we got some heavy rains in Ankeny and I could able see the project in action. My sump pump hardly ran during the rain. I didn’t see any rain water coming into my window well. Water was nicely flowed into the drain tail and towards street. I am happy and satisfied with Bill’s work. Bill and his crew is very thorough, professional and I would highly recommend them.- Chandra B.

ADDS PLUMBINGDon came and provided me an estimate the in the evening the same day I called him. Knowing there was a damaged pipe but not knowing the extent to which it needed to be repaired he offered a quote for the initial removal of concrete and a few feet of pipe replacement. Depending on the extend of damage and need for repair he gave a estimate per additional foot of concrete and pipe. This approach turned out to work well as the repairs were limited to where the known damage was under the floor and where the pipe left the house. Repairs were done in one day and we are back to a functional sewage system. Did a great job at a fair price. I would definitely have them do work again.- Theo G.

AHolt Plumbing & Heating IncI have used Holt for other work and the service is always awesome. I received evening service and received a discount because I belong to their "club". The response time was good for a last minute call in the evening. I was provided an estimate for the work and other services. The work was completed in a timely fashion. The other work I received an estimate for was not completed, but I was told that since I had the estimate completed if I chose to do it later I would not be charged the service call fee. I will continue to use Holt for all my HVAC and plumbing needs.- Bonnie C.

ADevine DirtworksI had some drainage issues on my property and Dustin Devine came out and bid me a price to fix the issues. He changed the grade on my property to allow that water to drain away from my home. He also tiled my downspouts and installed underground drain pipes from my gutters out to the creek behind my house. He repaired my broken driveway concrete and hauled in crushed concrete for the base. He also cut down a couple trees and trimmed some others cleaning up the appearance of my home and acreage. He hauled all the brush and material away. He also hauled in some of the blackest dirt I have ever seen to help with reseeding my yard. I would highly recommend his services as he is fair, honest and very personable to work with. During these last heavy rains we've had the water ran away perfectly and I was VERY impressed with watching the water run exactly the way he said it would! He worked very hard, did a ton of work for what I think was a very reasonable price. I no longer have water in my basement!!!!!!!!- Tim W.

Very nice, thorough, timely, really good workmanship Huge job performed, and multiple neighbors said my drive is beautiful. Never thought people would say such about a drive. They are expensive but you get what you pay for, and poor concrete work will be evident for years every time you look at it. I took no chances and the results were everything I hoped for. They even hauled away something for me without complaint. Couldn't be happier. May have my other drive done next year. I had two previous houses, and many people brag about their concrete abilities, yet still disappoint. PRF did not disappoint. Kevin Jones is a first class guy. ANo results because I live in NW Des Moines proper and the service provider is located in the SE section of Des Moines. The owner stated that we were out of his service area and I think that would make good business sense. I would not expect them to come that far for one small job. I have no problem with his decision!!!

AExcellent information before the sale. Came at scheduled time and did work in a timely way. Excellent explanation of the system and how it worked. Return to explain the thermostat to me. I was able to reduce the cost significantly by receiving a rebate as part of the Energy Efficiency Rebate Program. It has also reduced my monthly energy bill. So far the new system has worked flawlessly.

AScott came out to do the repairs. I had several plumbing issues and didn't expect to have them all completed the same day, but Scott managed to get them all done in one afternoon, including making s run for parts and a new disposal. He explained the cause of each issue and his planned fix before he went ahead. Most of of it ended up being relatively small repairs but I know some plumbers would have replaced rather than fixed to make more money. Very honest, good communication, reasonable pricing, skilled work - I will call them for all of my plumbing needs.

FAwful. He misread the floor plans and quoted me “$50-$60,000” for a 1,300 sq ft deck. However after much back and forth he finally realized it was only 348 sq ft. That must have upset “Judd.” The conversation ended with a sarcastic tone and a ballpark quote for $30,000——-for a 348 sq foot deck..... if I were you, I would RUN! Unless of course he does decking made from solid gold.

AThe crew explained everything as they revealed the pipes. We discussed how to remediate the issue so that I could have an upgraded beautiful, functional bathroom where the garbage disposal doesn’t BURP UP it’s contents into the bathtub. The crew was considerate and attempted to avoid as much “mess making” as possible. I also had HOLT replace the ancient furnace & air conditioner plus install an on-demand water heater unit. My monthly gas and electric bills are now $73 after energy efficient installations. I rely on HOLT for maintenance service, too.
