  • This has been a NIGHTMARE!  So I agreed to switch internet providers and setup my window for the tech between 11-3 so I wait around all day and at 4 I call CenturyLink, where someone tells me "the tech has just been dispatched to your area expect him shortly" then at 6 I call again.  this time the guy says "hmm...well I don't see an order for a tech, let me call the office in your area...oh well looks like the office is closed for the day, can I set up a time for them to come out tomorrow?"   Uh no, I work 60 hours a week, thanks for letting me waste my one day off. so I cancel all the service with them THAT DAY.  a month later I check my credit report...WOAH look  at that, there's a hit from CenturyLink for past due bill.  So I call, this time I have to explain myself again, the poor kid does what he can, his supervisor allows him to remove part of my bill, now we're negotiating my bill that I never received any products or services for.  This went on for 5 minutes with them offering a little more and a little more off the bill, I said NO remove the whole thing, I got nothing from you I'm not paying you anything.  So he of course doesn't have authorization for that so he has to put me on with his supervisor, now I get to explain the WHOLE situation AGAIN.  finally after about another 30 minutes the supervisor tells me he's getting everything off my bill and I'm good to go.  well to my dismay about 2 weeks later (today) I receive a letter stating I have to return a modem that I never received.  I call them again, I explain myself AGAIN, another 45 min on the phone, SUPPOSEDLY everything is taken care of now.  we'll see.
    I was furious, literally a wasted of an entire day off, and a waste of 3 LONG phone calls, I can't push more to AVOID CenturyLink, as this has been one of the biggest headachs of my year, not to mention I got a hit on my credit, and I never even had anything from them, I was trying to be a new customer and this is how they treated me...STAY AWAY!

  • They are okay, but they just got off to a really bad start. They brought us old equipment first and that's what got us off to a bad start and it took me three tries to get new equipment. Their service is good once you get good equipment.

  • I have been using their services for the last 7 or 8 years.  That was the time when I first got into computers. I have been using this for a long time.  I am satisfied with their services.  I haven't had any problems as of yet.  They answer to my questions when I get in touch with them.  I recently lost my husband and I have been staying with family, so I do not need the home phone at all.  They are right now my internet provider.  I use internet on a daily basis.  I switched to only internet service 5 months ago.  Other than changing service and when I forget to reset my computer, I never needed to contact them.  I am very happy with their service.  I would rate them highly across the board.  I will continue to use them and use them in the future.
