You don't argue and insult customers, I don't care who they are. They argued with me and insulted me. I may not know as much as they know about cars, but I do know about customer service. They may know cars but they don't know customer service. I don't go there anymore. They're the biggest car dealership in the Quad cities. Maybe that's why they lost their Chevrolet dealership. They used to be the biggest Chevy dealer is Quad cities but they lost that. In any case they wanted to spend more time arguing with me and insulting me than fixing my problem.

They've had real good people there. They're very professional and in pricing. They do everything I ask them to do. They're very thorough in going down their checklist. In a couple of instances I didn't give them a 5 or an A and that is because their waiting room is very small. Basically their waiting room is but an extension of the hallway. It is very uncomfortable to be in their waiting room. Other than that, it's fine.

I have used them for at least a decade; they are great. They are very helpful and explain what is going on. The work is always top rate and they get me the best price they can get me. They are very professional. Once I went in there with a tire problem and even though I was not on the schedule they came out and looked at it. They actually fixed it right then even though I did not have an appointment. I guess they did it because I am a regular. It was very well done.

    Al's Transmission Service
GOOD; They have worked on this vechicle previously, replacing the clutch, as well as done work on other older vehicles I have owned. Overall, they have always done good work, explained what was wrong and what needed to be done, were accurate on their quotes/actual charges, were timely and stood behind their work. In several instances, follow up adjustments were needed and they never charged extra, or complained about doing the follow up work. The fellow that runs the place is friendly and has always been reasonable to deal with. They know the transmission business and do not seemed to be over priced for what they do.

The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. They let me know of some other issues my vehicle had but there was no pressure to have the work done. They called me with an estimate before starting work and came in very close to that. Will definitely be taking my vehicle there again in the future.

Lunds always did excellent service. They specialize in Honda and Acura. They are extremely knowledgable and professional. They are honest and up front. They will let you know if something is really wrong with your car, but otherwise will only do the service you want. Much more reasonably priced than the dealerships.

Brought in my 2001 Chevy S10 pick up due to a failed starter and fix rough starting motor. Shop assistant manager, Ian/Ean? said starter just needed replaced. They replaced it. When I picked up the truck it was still a rough start. Additionally I was quoted a bill of around $450 but paid $550. When I questioned this Ian stated that I must have gotten quoted without taxes. After reviewing the bill I identified they charged me for an oil change they claimed I authorized. The truck was less than a thousand miles into previous oil change.  Two weeks later truck won't start again. Towed it back. After one week without a phone call I called them. Shop said, Ian is handling that. I'll have him call you back. He called a few DAYS later and states that  fuel pump needs changed and recommends changing out fuel tank as well. Cost? $2300!! I of course said h*** no. They changed out battery because they said it was bubbling. All in all I paid over $800 for a replacement starter and battery. Truck still won't start. They have lost a customer for life.

The workmanship is worth an A. They are very courteous and professional and responsive. The facilities were very accommodating. We had several quotes, all charge for diagnostics, some will apply that fee to the bill if you get your vehicle fixed there. River City told us about the $90.00 diagnostic fee but we failed to ask if it would be applied to the bill. It wasn't. The quality of work is excellent. Friendliness also excellent. . Would like to see them do a couple things different. 1- Explain the bill before you pay for it. (how much is bill and how much is labor) The detailed bill was not given to us until it was paid, however we did not ask for it and they did not offer. (we take responsibility for not asking ) 2- Like to see the diagnostic fee applied to the bill if fixing the vehicle.
They made a followup call to make sure everything was well. Very impressive. If you are looking for the cheapest, they may not be for you, however if you want quality this is the place to go. If you choose to use River City, be sure you ask specific questions and you should get specific answers.
We requested payment split between a debit and credit card. This was not done as we found out when we got the credit card statement.
We will try them again because we were given a $25.00 gift card for our next service there and a 10 percent discount on the labor bill.
You get what you pay for..

They picked up my car (which they always do, this is how I knew to call them...they have been picking up my car while I work to perform my oil changes and other miscellaneous small repairs for about a year and a half), got it to their shop, only to have the check engine light NOT on (isn't that how it always goes?).  Paul called to tell me this, and said they would check over a few other things.  He called me back to tell me what the issue was, but told me it wasn't pressing.  I opted not to take care of it at this time, so they brought my car back.  I was not charged, he just told me to have a nice day!  Customer service like that is very hard to find these days!

I use this repiar shop for a variety of things. They are very reasonably priced. They are there 8am to 5pm... not a minute before or after. You need to call for an appointment, but they usually can get you on for service in 1 day. Cash or check only. They do not take credit cards,
