Ordered the phone service DVoip.  Price was great.  Product shipped immediately.  No issues setting it up.  Works great.  Only issue is available phone numbers.  Iowa was very limited so I chose an Illinois number as it was actually local versus the Iowa number.  911 service has my actual address so it wasn't an issue for me.

They are prompt and friendly.  We are out in the country, so we chose them because they were available.  Our price for internet is too high and we don't even have the fastest speed.  Every once in a while, we have to unplug and replug in the modem.

I haven't found anything else that competes. I like it and they are very helpful. If you are switching over from the cable company and want the same number, Vonage is very helpful with that process.

Their price is exceptionally high but the service is good. They are way overcharged. They always tell us when they are going to come and they do.

Courteous, excellent estimate within a few days, professional workers, owner on site both times, work done in one day for each big job, and they even put in a new sink faucet for me.

    Mediacom Communications Corp
Back in April of this year, we had a very bad storm and it broke a power pole. There were gas and electric company equipment, Mediacom Cable Company equipment, and one other telecommunication company equipment on this pole. When I called the other telecommunication company, they came out within hours and removed their old equipment and were very nice about it. It took the electric company from April until July to get the job completed and they told me that there is Mediacom equipment still on that pole. Unfortunately, the pole was on my property, so I called Mediacom many times now. Every time they come out, I requested that they call me and let me know that if they are on the property. They have not called me to let me know any time that they’ve been on the property. I called back one time and they said they were out and they don’t have any equipment on that pole. Last time I called them and I said the other telecommunication company has been here and removed their wires from the pole, but there is still a wire coming from across the street through this pole on my property, it goes down the pole, and then the wires go underground to the house and that belongs to Mediacom Cable. I am waiting until August the 6th for someone to come here and tell me what they are going to do with their wires.

On June 2 a subcontractor for Mediacom came to my hose and hit my garage door. June 23 his supervisor finally came to look at the door and said his technician didn't hitvit and was denying the claim. I have called Mediacom 6 times regarding this and have not received one call in return or has this been settled.

    CenturyLink Internet Service
Absolutely terrible. Century Link offered special rates, but I didn't receive them until after spending hours on the phone, for several different days, being transferred from one person to the next, waiting on hold repeatedly. Then, three months after moving, I discovered Century Link was billing me for the old house and the new house. They are the worst provider I have ever dealt with, and I will never use them again. Their customer service folks are not interested in helping, unless you're interested in buying more services.
