  • I took time off work as I was instructed by Angela that both Jim and I needed to be present for Jim's memory test. The actual truth is that I only needed to hear Angela talk to Jim before the test, which would take three hours -- I then had to go to work and make arrangements to pick Jim up from Cedar Centre at the end of the test.
    Jim said he felt entirely confused during the test. He said that Angela made no effort to try to explain to him what he was supposed to do for each section of test -- she gave only the briefest of instructions. Jim felt that he failed the test entirely due to no effort to explain what he was supposed to do. His comment to me after the three hours was, and quot;Well, that was a waste of three hours. I didn't think any of the test was worth anything except to try to make me look bad.and quot;
    It is now January 2, 2014. We do not have the results of this test -- although apparently Angela told Dr. Brian Netolicky enough about the results for Brian to give Jim a bad feeling about the test when Jim last saw Brian in December, 2013.
    I don't think Angela means to be patronizing toward patients who have memory problems -- but both my husband and I feel that way every time we talk to her. Jim has taken three memory tests up to this point -- he told me that he will not be taking any more.

  • Initially, Brian seemed interested in helping my husband with first his job problems and then with his ADHD. After a while, Brian also suggested that my husband see Dr. Mike March in addition to continuing to see him. The sessions with Dr. Mike have proceeded beautifully. However, over a period of time, my husband seemed to be getting more and more confused during his appointments with Brian -- at that point, I started attending the appointments with my husband.
    Brian does not seem to have a good understanding of Jim's cognitive problems -- and lately I feel that Jim has been given a lot of negative feedback. Jim's memory problems occasionally mean that he will misplace and lose items, such as prescriptions, if I am not there to handle any paperwork. The last two times Jim lost a prescription, Brian and Cedar Centre informed him that he would have to go ten days or more without his medication -- because office policy states loss prescriptions cannot be replaced due to the fact that the meds could possibly be sold on the street or illegally used. My husband is 62 years old -- if Brian has so little trust in Jim as a patient to believe he is illegally selling medications, I am not sure there is much of a patient-doctor trust level here.
    Brian frequently is late getting us into his office for an appointment -- and then seems to rush us through as if Jim really has nothing important to say. It is possible that Brian has no expertise in dealing with older patients or those with memory issues -- I am not comfortable with Jim seeing Brian without me because I often have to try to reassure Jim after appointments. I believe we may need a different doctor.

  • Mike is amazing. He listens very carefully to what Jim says, makes wonderful eye contact, and always makes both my husband and I feel as if our time with him is worthwhile. He doesn't just look at the surface situations -- he tries to help discover any problems or issues underneath. Even when I cannot go to my husband's appointments with him, Jim's time with Mike is always upbeat and helpful. I cannot recommend Mike enough.

  • I've been going to the Cedar Centre for a couple of years and have been satisfied with the services. The staff present are always very nice and friendly. I've seen a couple of the doctors/therapists there and have never had any trouble scheduling, changing appts, dealing with insurances, etc. I do have a minor compliant, which is that often times I spent a lot of time in the waiting room, upwards of 20 minutes sometimes. With that being said, I also understand that when you're dealing with therapists who are helping others at the time..that it's not always easy to stick to exact appointment times..I'm sure we've had sessions that went over.
    Otherwise, very happy and would recommend!

  • We continue to use Dr. Kerri Husman for several years now, due to my son's stability under her care. I feel her care is extremely beneficial to our son, so we are very diligent about keeping the appointment schedule, and I make sure my son follows up with the use of the prescription medicines without missing doses. Dr. Husman has always been available/supportive when we need records to document his need for services/accommodations within his education or vocation.

  • Terrible. Rude, condescending, and incompetent. From the top to the bottom of this organization.
