AFrontpointInitially we called the company only for information. The person we spoke to was knowledgeable and did not pressure us at all. He gave us a "direct line" phone number so we could talk to him, rather than a new person, if we had more questions. (He was the one who told us about the discount for the security equipment if we belonged to Angie's List.) When we were ready to purchase, he walked us through the process and customized the package that we bought. The equipment arrived three or four days after purchase. Setting it up was easy -- very thorough instructions. Then we called a toll-free number and spent about 15 minutes on the phone learning how to operate the system. We called a couple times after that with more questions, and got through to a human being immediately -- nice!! Several days later the alarm was accidentally tripped by one of our cats when we weren't there. The notification process worked exactly as described and the sheriff arrived within minutes. We are completely satisfied and have recommended this system to many friends already.- Patricia W.

DVivint IncWe never listen to door to door salesmen, but they caught my fiance and I on a bad day. The services that they offer and install I can't really fault. However, they are pretty high pressure (the installers were already in our home before we finished signing the contract). We are in the process of cancelling the service because after doing some research, we got an overbuilt and overpriced system. I hope that the cancellation process goes smoothly, I have read some complaints online about this. Overall, I can't fault the product. My issue is with the price and sales tactics. Update: 6-2-2013 The technician came out to uninstall the equipment from our home. He was very nice and professional. Again, I cannot fault the techs or the product. It is the price, sales pressure and contract terms that we had problems with.- Carrie V.

FShortly after we ordered the system we changed our mind. The company said they would refund the money but never did. We disputed the charge but was denied from the credit card company even though SimpliSafe could not produce an invoice or any price they sent the system to us. This company is untrustworthy and does not deserve your business. Please save your time and money and use someone else. Just an update. They did return the money they originally refused to refund when we went through the credit card company. I can’t change the grade I have them because the only reason they issued the refund was to protect their standing on Angie’s list.
