    Bernd's Pond
It was an excellent experience. Bernd did a good job of listening to what my vision of the feature was going to be like. He had excellent suggestions and worked with me to get the type of feature I wanted yet still meet my budget constraints.

    Places Ecolawn & Garden Chores
You think you know someone... We proudly used Places Eco Lawn and Chores for 5 years for our organic lawn care. We recommended him to friends and neighbors, put the "No pesticides used here" sign in our yard, etc. As far as organic lawn care is concerned, although the price is pretty high, it seemed as though we had fewer dandelions than when we started, the lawn seems pretty healthy overall, and we don't feel guilty about using chemicals that could be harmful to people and the environment. Sadly, a casual conversation during one of Josh's visits for a service turned into a disagreement on the "plight of the white race" (Josh falls into the David Duke sympathizer category), and he quit on the spot, mid job after calling my wife "brainwashed." Even if his political views weren't deplorable, which in my opinion they are, this was extremely unprofessional. I do not recommend doing business with someone who'll quit on you if your political views aren't in line with theirs. I don't believe this discussion should have even happened, although I'm glad it did in this case because my money is better spent elsewhere.

    Planetary Tree Service
I got 5 bids and he came.  It took them a while to get here, that was the only minor thing.  I know they're busy.  Just a real minor thing, I had the solar lights that line the sidewalk when they were pulling some of the branches from the back yard to the front they wiped out about 4 of those.  I told Drew and he was going to go buy them and pay for them and I said no don't worry about it.  I said I just wanted to make you aware of it.  If I had given them an A they would have done perfect.  Just a minor thing, not a big deal; they did a good job and I know they're busy.  It just took them a while to get here.  It was probably over a month from the time I called and I had to call him 2 or 3 times to see when he was coming.  On price, he wasn't the cheapest but he was right in the middle or so.  The quality is pretty good.   On responsiveness, it took them a while to get here.  When I would call Drew he would call me back and give me an update and they were here the day they finally told me they were going to come.  On punctuality, he called and said they were going to be here Wednesday and they were here.  When I would call him and say do you have an idea when you're coming and he would give me an update.  On professionalism, they knocked a couple of the lights over and left a couple limbs in the backyard.

    Nichols Tree Service
Compared to two other bids, Nichols Tree Service price was 20% and 45% lower.  The crew responed quickly, were hard-working, courteous, good-humored and efficient.  We are very pleased with the excellent job they did.

    Maifield Landscaping LLC
Whenever we have anything done landscaping-wise we always use them and have for 15 years. His father started the business. We worked with Randy at the beginning and then Randy died of cancer. His son Tyler took over the business. He is just as professional and meticulous as his dad. His dad was an artist and then went into landscaping. So, he had that artistic sense of what goes where.

Green Leaf Tree & Landscape Co
Awful. Inferior and delayed service provided and deposit has not been refunded. I received an estimate from Jason at Green Leaf Tree and Landscape company in early September to trim 10 trees on my property including removing some high limbs on some trees and professional clean up. The estimate came to $1598 including tax. I gave Jason a deposit of $800 on 9/17 and the check was cashed on 9/18. There was some fishiness there as he asked for the check to be made out to him but I made it out to Green Leaf Tree a.k.a. Jason Wright. For several weeks he did not show up to do the work when I called there were excuses about a truck breaking down and getting the flu. On 30 October, two people showed up with a power pole saw and did some light tree trimming on 4 or 5 trees from ground level. They also left some of the branches from the trimming in my yard. I have attempted to reach Jason and have left two messages but my calls are no longer being returned.

    Chris's Handyman Services
Excellent. I don't have to worry that when I ask him about something it will get done and done well. The guys he has working for him are all polite and courteous. I have no problem calling him whenever I have an issue or need something new done. My married friends are all jealous.

    Tietz Handyman
The service was provided for the duplex my parents own and due to age are not able to perform these tasks themselves anymore.
He cleaned the gutters the exact same way my dad does without me having to ask him to do it this way.
He was very responsive to my request for service and professional while working.

    Levi's Lawn Care
Levi does a great work. He was very punctual in returning my calls and always does what is requested of him. Since I am managing this from 700 miles away it makes it easy to place a call and get great service at a great price.
Looking for a quality/reliable service provider - call Levi.

    Matthias Landscaping Co
Matthias was the contractor's choice when we built our new home in 2012. The original plan called to have the lawn seeded and landscaping done by October 1st. Mathias was several weeks late getting even a site plan to us, and not finishing with the seeding until just before Thanksgiving, after the ground had frozen. That meant the grass seed, even though hydro-seeded, just blew around all winter long. When we contacted them about this in March, they took a "wait and see" approach, which meant we missed the spring rains. The quality of their grass seed was horrible - full of stiff, scrubby grass and lots and lots of crab grass. They finally came out and did a bit of patching in late June, but we had to overseed twice at our expense after his patching. | |Two of the three Black Hills Spruce trees (his recommendation) died almost immediately, even though we watered regularly. Apparently their warranty states that they will replace the tree, but we would have to pay the labor to re-install! After several months and an intervention from our contractor, they finally agreed to replace the trees, but didn't get around to replacing them until November! So, now we're back in the same boat - frozen ground and trees that need water. The replacement trees are not Black Hills Spruce, but they are very pretty, and larger than the originals. However, this means they don't match the third (still alive) tree. | |So, even though they finally made it right a full year later, I would not hire them again. Besides the poor quality of the grass seed, I got the runaround several times, and just got fed up.
