    The 2nd car I bought, I checked 6 dealers in a 150 mile radius and did the comparison side-by-side and then just talked to them a little bit and they stepped up. This last time I compared about 3 and that was it.

    I drive my car for work so I put a lot of miles on over the road so it's about every 3 months.  I've got an appointment in the morning and I just go by the percentage on the car when the oil goes down.  They just step up.  They do little things like; they used to when I dropped the car off they'd take you to work and then they would come and get me and bring me back.  Now, and for the last year or so, they've brought my car back to my office and have another one of their employees follow up then I just call the secretary and give her my credit card number.  So I don't even have to go back to the dealership.  They give me a report and update on the car.  They're very honest and I trust them.  I bought 3 cars in 3 years from them because I'm putting about 40,000 miles a year on for work.  I'll definitely go back there again.

    Glass Tech replaced my windshield after it was smashed by a pheasant at 65 mph. They were pleasant and professional to deal with on the phone, the work was done promptly at my home, and the results were great. They did a very nice job vacuuming out all the broken glass particles, which were scattered all over the car's interior. Thanks Ron and Jodie! Highly recommended.

    It is probably the best in this area. When they diagnostic it accurately on the basis of what it is. I don't have to go back and pay more money. I know what they tell me needs to be done and they are not telling me that they think something needs to be done, they do it, and it turns out to be something else. What I pay for is an actual repair, and I think that is good. The second thing is that they are pretty good about figuring out what sort of parts that go on are the most cost effective, and last long. One of my car has 140,000 and the other one has 120,000 miles on it, and I could probably keep them until they are 200,000 miles because they keep them so well. I have used them for the last 20 years.

    My exhaust system broke on my minivan as I pulled into work. I called them and they had a guy over in 20 minutes. Mike was very professional and courteous. They towed my car and did and excellent job.

    I have used Rasmusson many times over the last twentyfive years and they have always come thru. I highly recommend them.

    I was a walk in without an appointment, as always here. There were three others already being serviced so had to wait. My wait time was only five minutes and my vehicle was brought in. They were fast and efficient. I was shown what regular maintenance is recommended at the mileage point of my vehicle and shown my air filter. I declined other services at that time but have had them change air filters, wiper blades, light bulbs, fuses and a fuel filter before and was very pleased with those services. At this visit I only asked for the basic service and the tech gave me the classic service which includes vacuuming and washing windows. I was not charged the higher price as it was his mistake. These guys are very courteous and thorough. They are knowledgeable about the products and services. They are honest and appreciate my business. This is why I have continued to go to them for several years. I can stop there anytime to have fluid levels and tire pressure checked, fluids topped off and air applied to tires with no charge. Jiffy Lube on University Ave. is THE BEST! Thanks Jiffy Lube!

    Tandem Tire & Auto Service
    My car started to die a few blocks away. ( It has had a very intermittent electrical problem that comes and goes...it has been hard to diagnose for one other auto shop, so I thought I'd give Tandem a try.) I managed to coast to Tandems parking lot. I went in and explained the problem to a young man who followed me out to push me into a parking spot. This was about 12:15 and this is where any semblance of customer service ended. I asked if they could look at it today and he said around 2:30 if I wanted to leave it. I asked for a shuttle or a loaner to get back home and was told and quot;eh well, most of my guys are at lunchand quot; I waited about a half an hour trying to find a way home. I have kids to pick up from school, etc. I asked the man for a phone book to try to call to cancel an appointment I was going to miss. He sat at a computer desk slumped down fiddling with a cord of some sort.
    Meanwhile, I decided I would go out and try to start it myself again and come back later with it. I had to use my own portable jump starter to get it going and take off. While I was jumping the battery, the SAME guy that didn't have and quot;anyone to provide a shuttle or a rideand quot; comes out toward my car.....gets into a van next to me to take a break and proceeds to smoke a cigarette.....WHILE I am jumping starting my own car!! It then died again in the street. I jumpstarted it again, by myself, while this same guy is onlooking . I made it home. I will get a tow to somewhere who provides some customer service.
    Never was I shown any courtesy or consideration for my time. Most reputable auto repair shops that I have been to offer a shuttle at least a couple times a day. or someone will pull themselves away to help a customer.

    This toyota dealer is one of the best. You can call for an appointment and get it the same day. They are fast and very professional. The location has a new bldg with a very comfortable waiting area that includes TV, free coffee, donuts, etc.. The best part for me is they have the daily local papers to read.

    Schuerman's Auto Repair
    They did a great job, at a reasonable cost, but the unit failed while I was on an extended tri out of state. The out of state mechanic conferred with Eric at Schuerman's -- they put in a bypass pully to keep me on the road. When I got back, Schuerman's replaced the bad unit at no charge, and even gave me a refund for a significant part of what I spent on the out of state mechanic. You can't ask for better than that! These guys are thorough, professional, and won't gouge you. Jim Schuerman grew up here, has been around for years, and has a great crew. My family relies on them.
