Our dog came home exercised and clean! We have boarded her at Beastons several times and are always happy with the care and attitude of the staff.  The only reason for the B in "responsiveness" is that sometimes I need to call back a day or so after leaving a message there because I haven't received a return call.  But I know when I leave a message it is because the staff are with the dogs and that's where they should be.

We take our dog to Dr. Sandeman and have had a great experience with him. Early on, we saw Dr. Flickinger but she didn't come across as extremely knowledgeable to me (I asked what to feed our new puppy and she told us just to use the measurement on the back of the bag which I knew was too much for my dog's breed and too much in general since they want to sell more dog food) so we switched to Dr. Sandeman. Our dog gets great care, it is a bit pricey though and they are very reluctant to give advice over the phone, they always want to schedule an appointment and do a physical exam which gets expensive.
The staff is very friendly but the office does have a problem with timeliness. I usually have to wait a minimum of 20 minutes after my appointed time for them to see my dog. I do think my dog gets excellent care, though, so I will be back and I would recommend their veterinary services.

It went reasonably well. Pulled some front teeth which was unexpected. I thought the back teeth weren't cleaned as good as it should have been in my opinion although they claim that they were cleaned. To do it on an annual basis the cost seem prohibitive.

The treatment is a special diet that is iodine-free.  There is food that you can buy, but it is only available by prescription.  It is very expensive ($1.90 per can), but I was given a discount, a bag of food free, and a recommendation to call the company that makes it to inquire about coupons and discounts.  He was well taken care of for the day he spent at the vet.

Excellent place for your pet. They are very thorough and diligent about assessing how animals interact with each other, and they monitor them constantly. They really love animals and it shows. They know their boarders/daycare critters by name and really get to know their quirks and personalities. I appreciate that they're diligent about vaccinations, kennel cough, etc. too. It's a safe, healthy place for pets to be. They also perform grooming services as well.
All in all, I'm so happy to have found a wonderful place for my dog to socialize with other dogs and romp off her excess energy. It's clean, very well run and the people are very friendly and welcoming. It's a great, affordable option for busy people who love their pets. I've taken my pooch to several doggy day cares in other cities while traveling and this is the best. It's certainly the best in the Quad Cities. Really, highest recommendation. You couldn't do better if you love your pet.
(And no, I'm no relation or a personal friend, just a very happy customer.)

    Glenroads Veterinary Clinic
The staff was wonderful and the vet was fine, but the services were very expensive. I think it was over $200 just for a routine checkup and shots. Later in the year, our Doberman got acutely ill and they worked us in immediately. Unfortunately, our Dobie was beyond help and had to be put to sleep. The entire staff showed such great compassion and professionalism during that difficult time. They cared for our dog so much and Dr. Shepard was truly wonderful. The only downside to the clinic is they are VERY expensive. I've taken my other dogs to a couple other vets and their services are less expensive.

Animal Emergency Center Of The Quad Cities
Dr. Penrod was very attentive and explained the options - no high pressure as I have experienced there before. I chose to have her perform the repair. When I picked up the dog, Dr. Penrod went over what had been done and told me to see our vet withing 2 days to check the integrity of the stitches and for possible infection. She provided a very detailed description of the surgery for my vet and reviewed follow-up care. The only negative was the one of the staff placed us in an exam room, checked the dog's vitals and forgot about us for more than 45 minutes. It was a very busy night and from the discussions I was aware that they were dealing with life- threatening problems. My dog had stopped bleeding and was acting fine so I didn't complain. According to the staff, it was Dr. Penrod that had inquired about my dog and brought their attention to the fact we were still waiting. My vet followed up and the dog is doing great -no complications. The Emergency Center serves a very important purpose and provides competent care for animals who become ill/injured outside of most veterinarians normal business hours. Given the high prices that many local vets are charging for their services, the costs at the Emergency Center are not that high. The Center provides relief to those local vets that, in the past, have sacrificed many off hours to their clients in need.

I've been seeing the vets here for a few months, since my 19-year-old cat became ill. They told me he had a cancerous tumor in his mouth. They gave me the option of surgery, but since he was 19 so it was pretty risky. Plus, if he had the surgery, they would have had to remove his jaw and give him a feeding tube. That just didn't sound like a good option to me, especially since it was so risky.
So, they helped me to be as and quot;heroicand quot; with treatment as I wanted. The cat was still in good spirits, so I fed him with a syringe and gave him sub-q fluids once he couldn't drink at all.
The vets also helped by giving him steroid shots now and then (to try to reduce the tumor a tiny bit) and giving him antibiotics when he got an infection several times (the tumor was becoming necrotic in his mouth).
Finally, after 6-months of hand feeding him, he couldn't swallow food at all. It just sat in his mouth like I was pouring food into a cup. And, he started having trouble breathing. Even though he was still asking for pets and love, and following me around wanting food, I knew it was time to put him to sleep.
With a very heavy heart I made the appointment for a Friday - it gave me another 1.5 days with him and I could be sure I didn't have to risk going through the weekend.I ended up taking him in early though, because he was having so much difficulty breathing.
I spent a little time with him in a nice garden they have out front, then I took him in. The doctor gave him a tranquilizer, which didn't put him to sleep put spaced him out a little. Then they came in and let me pet him while they gave him the final shot. I was crying but I held it together.
They gave us a few mins with the cat, and then the doctor came in and confirmed he was dead. He said, and quot; He's in a good place now. All the sparrows in heaven only have one wing!and quot; It made me cry more! But that was OK, it was a nice thing to say. My cat would like that.
We took our beloved cat home and buried him. =(Later, I got a nice condolence card from the vet. It said I did a very loving and humane thing.

I've taken my 13 lb cockapoo there several times.  She was abused before we got her so she's very shy and fearful of new people.  Everyone's very friendly and gentle with her and they try to get her done quickly to minimize her time there, which I love.  I've been really pleased with the grooming, a couple of times I've felt the top of her head was left a little long, but if I take her back within 3 days, they'll fix it right away.  And everytime I take her they always go over, in detail, with me what exactly I want done.  I've never had any problems with her being injured in any way there.  She actually comes home extremely excited, and when I've taken her other places she tends to be very tired the rest of the day.  Also, they almost always have $5 off coupons, and who doesn't love that??

    Animal Family Veterinary Care Center
We first went to this clinic for a 3rd opinion, for a beloved senior cat with chronic health problems, after she was treated for a number of years at 2 different vet clinics. Our cat's health and we feel that her quality of life improved tremendously while she was treated here with appropriate medications for a past history of chronic uti's and Dr. Garro's discovery/diagnosis of her incomplete voiding/urinary retention. Our other pets have received excellent care that is thorough and up-to-date. The care our pets have received at this clinic by Dr. Rob Garro, as well as the other veterinarians and staff has been top-notch, very professional and compassionate. As a plus, this clinic's atmosphere is very cheery and clean.
