    Your Local Handyman
Joel arrived on time and was very personable. He installed a shelf for me above a large window. It sounds like an easy project, but not for me. He went and bought the materials, went home and cut the board and came back and installed it all within a couple of hours. Perfect for my holiday decorating! I love it! Highly recommend Joel's work.

Joel was very prompt in arriving and went to work immediately. He is an extremely kind and caring person and worked quickly and carefully. The next day he cleaned gutters and did a beautiful job with the lawn and leaves. He charged a VERY fair price. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Joel!

Joel works very efficiently, was very knowledgeable on what was needed to do the job right, and did a great job cleaning up when he was finished. Very personable and professional. Definitely will have him help us again in the future.

    Handy Guy
We discovered a pipe under our kitchen sink with a small leak that was just a drip but had gone unnoticed for awhile. We contacted Jeremy at The Handy Guy because he had done repairs for us before and we know he does a good job and is honest. He and his son worked on the repair and Jeremy provided a great explanation of what had caused it which was a frozen pipe probably years before. At first it looked like just the pipe under the sink was effected but after replacing that and testing for leaks they discovered the pipe in the wall as well was cracked and replaced that tool. The sink sits at a corner in the kitchen and the configuration of the pipes does not make for the easiest of access and comfort to work. Jeremy and his son, however, handled it well and kept at it to complete the job correctly.

We messaged and then called. Spoke with him, he was going to stop out later that afternoon to take a look, never heard another word. Disappointing. But, I know that we wouldn't contact again, as we weren't apparently a big enough job to get a call back to say something came up, I can come later, or thanks but no thanks. This was almost a week ago.

We had a couple planks of our kitchen laminate flooring with dents from dropped knives and a vent hood (when we were installing it). Being a tongue and groove design and the way the boards had been laid, it required other boards to be removed as well. The board was the 2nd to the last before our cabinet but the run of that "row" extended along the kitchen with additional boards between it and the wall. Jeremy and his son carefully removed the 3 rows to get to the board that needed replaced. After custom cutting to make a nice transition, they re-install the previously removed boards as we only had 5 total extra boards. They were very thorough and meticulous in the work and the floor looks as good as new. They cleaned everything as they went and reinstalled the quarter round trim as well.

We are very happy we found Handy Guy. When our shower needed repair, we searched Angie's List and since Jeremy had experience in both plumbing and drywall, we contacted him since we thought the repair would need to be done through the small built-in wall on the outside of the shower stall. Since this wall was added by the previous owners, we didn't know if it was just paneling or drywall as well. He was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and all around good guy to work with. He advised us on a shower kit to purchase which was good quality (on par with Delta) but not as expensive. He thought of the future and installed an access door. He provided a detailed explanation and estimate of the work to be completed before starting the job and made sure we were happy with the work before he left. I would highly recommend him and will hire him again for additional handyman repairs.

We had hired Jeremy a couple years ago for a bathroom shower repair so did not hesitate again to contact him when we had a leaking pipe under our kitchen sink and leaky faucet above. He and his wife provided lots of useful information and suggested getting the needed parts under warranty for the faucet instead of the additional cost of replacing it. He does what's best for the customer and didn't just automatically suggest the most expensive thing like replacing the faucet. In the end, we went ahead with a replacement because the faucet was out of warranty so for the investment it made sense to replace. He suggested a brand for us that would have a lifetime warranty and explained the quality of their products. Again, to me, this shows his concern, honesty and integrity regarding his work and customer's best interest. With our kitchen setup containing a corner sink placement in addition to the original builder or prior DIY work of the disposal and pipe location and setup, the repair of the leaky pipe under the sink was not the most convenient and comfortable work for him. He still took the needed time and did the job thoroughly and completely making sure to explain what he was going to do and what had happened to cause the leak in the pipe in the first place. He found a 2nd leaky pipe just behind the wall when testing the first part of the job and fixed that as well. He and his assistant were very thorough, conscientious, pleasant and cleaned up tremendously when they were done. I highly recommend The Handy Guy.

    2 H Techniques, LLC
At first, I thought the owner was very nice when he came to give a quote. After a few no call, no shows, I got upset. I texted the owner. No reply. I texted him again the next day (Sunday). His response was "You still owe X dollars, I will get it done, sorry you are disappointed". This was the text I got after I complained that I had paid $1000 of my balance that I didn't need to pay to be completed as one of his workers explained they were between jobs and he needed the money. I felt bad as I knew he had children so I paid the $1000 of the $1840 balance I owed with the promise they would be back the next day to finish. Again, a no call, no show. My following text to him was that I expected it to be done Monday as it was to rain Tuesday and Wednesday. No call no show on Monday. I finally went to the guy who referred me to him to complain. This made the owner mad. They did come out on Tuesday, promised again it would be finished. Not finished. Text said he would be back the next morning and I needed to leave a check. Left check. Came home the next day and nothing done. Texted owner AGAIN and got no reply after an hour. Called him and got shouted at with obscenities. Have never been talked to so verbally abusive in my life. He said would not finish to the job and to take him to court to get any money back. All rotten siding and windows were left in my backyard, along with everything off my deck, plus all the siding left in my driveway that they were to haul away. I am left to finish the deck myself and haul away all the trash. Will NEVER hire him and will NEVER refer him.

Contractor was prompt and timely.  He came when he said he would, responded to communications timely, and was very professional. Work was well done. When we had a small issue with woodwork, he had the trim person return the same day to do a quick fix.
