  • I am very satisfied with Mark's service.  The tree wrapped around a corner of the house, and it was located between the septic tank and the absorption field.  He and his helper removed the tree and hand carried the pieces to the trucks with no damage to the house or yard.  Mark recommended AAA Solutions for the stump grinding, and I was also happy with that service 2 days later.

  • Came out the same day I called.  Cost still amazes me...two trips to our house near Amana AND the part + tax was only $170!  Plus he took a look at another small issue I was having and didn't charge me for it.  Definitely will be calling Brandis for any future appliance repairs!

  • My experience with them went well. They're very capable of putting in a septic system. They have modern equipment and a crew of sufficient size to do the job. They came when they said they would. It took the time they said it would take. We were satisfied and the septic system has worked well since then.

  • Our furnace went out in January, and they were here within an hour and a half after I called them. He had it fixed within a half an hour. It was 30 years old, and he offered to refund the cost of the new control that he put in if I bought a new furnace. I was due for a new furnace. They put it in a couple of weeks later, for a very good price. I had good workers that did it.  I was very impressed with them. It was a sub-zero day when they came. It was 11 below 0 when they started. You have to have a lot of confidence and capability to change out a furnace on a day like that. They got it done and it worked great. We were really happy with that.

  • WHEN I CONTACTED THEM THEY SAID I"D HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MID DEC. AND I SAID OKAY. KNEW THEY HAD TO BUSY. THEY TOLD ME TO PUT A CK. FOR 84.53 ON THE COUNTER..  I LEFT MY DR. OPEN AND TOLD THEM TO LOCK IT WHEN LEAVING WHICH THEY DID.WHEN MY BILL CAME IT WAS NO MORE THAN THE 84.53. ALTHO I THINK THAT TO DEMAND MONEY BEFORE LOOKING AT IS A BIT MUCH.

  • I had used Steves Roofing to re-roof my parents house in October of 2011. I then told Steve that I would like to replace the water heater that was using the 50 year old rusty flue pipe with a power vent unit vented out the side of the house. He told me that when I get it replaced and abandon the flue, that he would come back to patch the roof.
Well one year and two months later(Dec 13) I called Steve, he remembered the job and said he could come on Monday Dec 17th and patch the roof. I called him again for an ETA on Sunday Dec 16th, he said about 11 am Monday. He arrived just a few minutes after 11 and we looked at the extent of the job, removed the entire flue pipe, he loaded it in his truck to scrap it, he patched the roof with shingles left over from the original job, and was ready to leave before noon. My mom twisted his arm to send the bill, he replied Merry Christmas.
    Great Guy Steve.

  • We had to call in a plumber for an emergency repair, this other plumber also quoted pipe replacement, but would have required an additional contractor for the finish work.
I searched Angies list and found some candidates for the total job including Madisons Plumbing(Plumber and Carpenter in One). Some further research on individual websites indicated that Patrick Madison would be a good fit.
At first he didn't want to quote because he didn't realize the extent of the remodel type of work and another contractor had already been involved for the emergency repair. I convinced him that this job was right up his alley. He set a date one or two days out and visited the site for quote. He replied the next day with an estimate of 17 man days and an attractive rate base on the extent of the work. I decided that he was the man for the job but he would need to add a man to expedite the completion of the job, as we would need to get our parents out of the house for the duration of the work.
Start and completion dates were set, he and his assistant arrived on time and made great progress every day.
I selected and supplied tiles and grout. (Just in time because the job progress was so fast)
Adders were: 1)Grab Bar in the shower. 2)Replacement Toilet. 3)Island style venting for the kitchen sink. 4)Power vent water heater, pvc vent pipe, electrical outlet for water heater.
He finished half a day early and essentially the only added cost was the purchase price of the water heater. There was enough in the original material estimate to cover the toilet and misc. hardware.
During the job the worksite was cleaned and maintained presentable. Plastic sheeting was used to control dust. Tarps were used to protect floors. Cleanup after the job was very good. Yes there was a very light dusting from the drywall work in much of the house and some light debris was overlooked in one room. Overall much better than I would have expected.
I told him about some of the things that I was doing after the job and he offered to do it for me, I declined and he offered suggestions and resource info.
I WILL call him again with more work in the future!!!!

  • The experience started out great. The company came in a few days and provided an estimate. The initial estimate included replacing a front door as well for around $9000. That was above my budget, so I removed the front door from the project. While the pricewas $1800 higher than another estimate for the same work, I chose Done-Done. The workers arrived with a truck and trailer full of wood/supplies. This was following a day it rained. They turned around in my wet, landscaped yard leaving four 9 inch x 9 inch x 15 ft ruts. The estimate included 50 hours which I was told would take a week. Seemed reasonable. When the job was completed in about 30 hrs, we were happy. I pointed out to the owner (Pat) that they had finished ahead of schedule/underbudget, hIs attitude changed. He stated gruffly, "a quote is a quote.". I told him I know this and planned on paying. I just wanted him to know i knew this. The reason i wanted him to know this is because when the workers were removed the old deck, they made a comment to me that they were told by Pat to bring the wood to him for possible use on another project. The quote included dump fees. Ths was a concern. I also pointed this out to Pat and he again stated " a quote is a quote and I can do what i want with the wood.". This was upsetting. I then pointed out that I felt charging someone for things that would not be done, was inappropriate. This really upset him. I then pointed out the discount he obtained for the supplies that he charged me for as well. He stated he paid "exactly" the same as i would have paid. This was not true per Menards. Pat later stated he marks these supplies up by 20%. He then stated the quote was for $50/hr/worker and not $50/hr. The workers did a great job, but did not clean the porch and 4 posts were crooked. I corrected this on my own. I pointed it put and received no reply. I fixed the yard at my exPense.

  • They are good. I’m pleased with them. I asked the quote from them on a Saturday. On Monday they visited the site and left the quote on the same day; unlike other places where they take weeks to give the quote and is not right, which pisses me off. I would use them in the future.
