    Dr. Phillip H. Lim, DO
Dr. Lim proceeded to give me a new procedure that is supposed to block pain to the knee in my case. The procedure failed, and he blamed me for the failure of the procedure. He said that I was the only one who did not respond to the procedure. Instead of taking the blame himself, he tends to blame the patient for negative outcomes. Other cases were faulty claims of non-compliance to his physician plan for pain control. Wait times are exceedingly long. He is long winded in talking about a lot of issues that may not be related to your case. During my appointment on 01/27/15 I had very high blood pressure, and the receptionist recommended that I got to emergency room. Dr. Lim came in and told me it would be a waste of my resources to have my blood pressure checked, because he said it was within normal range. This was totally false. I may not be a pain management physician or specialist, but as a Doctor of physical therapy, I do know the ranges for blood pressure and the acceptable ranges. I would not recommend this provider, as he is self-centered and more concerned about his standing as a pain management doctor than the welfare of his patients.

    Hawaii Interventional Pain
Had a very good experience. Did diagnostic tests in May, and then did radio frequency injections of nerves around facet joints. This was done after annalysis of initial testing. So far results have all been positive. Good follow up. Would highly recommend.

    Hawaii Interventional Pain

After much discussion, he started me on a low dose of a medicine and worked it up slowly. He took the time to listen and his staff is very accommodating.

There's not much Dos or Don'ts, Dr. Garcia and his staff just walks you thru it; again, very patient and acommodating.

A note here, Dr. Garcia has become VERY busy. There are only 3 doctors in Hawaii board certified for Pain Management--and one works for the military. So Dr. Garcia is very very much in demand. Please make sure to grab whatever time you get and be prepared to wait. The wait is worth it as again, I ended up with side effects and had to change my meds. Most doctors have no idea what to prescribe as pain is very tricky. Dr. Garcia is extremely patient--now it appears the patient has to be too with this high in demand pain management specialist.

    Sharp, Tish E.
Had deep tissue massage done for sore muscles and stiff joints and was put to sleep!! Staff is very friendly and down to earth. Very 'hippie' vibe, so hope that doesn't bother you. Very communicative, but make sure that you ask questions and educate yourself, so you can have a great massage and one that is catered to you. I would highly recommend them, they are moderately priced at $75/hr. I couldn't specify a grade further, but I would give them an A-. I have been to others that were overall better, A+, but also at $85+/hr. So, they are a great value. Every other month, they have specials on their prices around $65/hr, so be sure to call and ask.

Dr. Wang is very busy. He spends brief time with you but does listen and helps you find ways to manage your pain. You must get a refferal to be seen here. Will continue to see Dr. Wang and his team.

Dr is very smart and cares about his patients. It's very difficult work dealing with people in perpetual pain.
