AAloha Appliance - KonaI called on Monday afternoon, July 15th and JD, the technician arrived on the 17th, at our Kona vacation villa. It only took him about 15-minutes to identify the problem, which was the electronic keyboard control was inoperable and needed to be replaced. Of course, since we live on one of the outer islands in Hawaii, most repairs/replacement parts need to be ordered from the Honolulu or California parts warehouses, so there is a waiting period. There was a delay in getting the part, but, our guests staying at Falling Waters, our vacation Villa, didn't mind at all; and the part was ironically replaced on their day of departure, on the 26th. Nevertheless, we are giving ALOHA APPLIANCE in Kona, a Excellent Overall rating, based on the 5 parameters! And yes, we would both use them and Highly-Recommend them. AAloha Appliance - KonaMay 5th, 2014 First of all, I would like to span this review over the past 12 months, since we started to use Aloha Appliance Repair, LLC, located in Kailua Kona; and NOT to be confused with another company that went defunct, with a similar NAME, but located in Hilo. Pointing out this fact as someone else posted a grade of "F" and just didn't know that the 'Other Company' WOOB despite their listing in the phone book. Overall, we have been very pleased with their Ethics, services and recommendations, from their primary Technician JD. Their Response time for Urgent & Emergency R&R's has been simply Outstanding! We have used many other companies in Kona and we plan on utilixing this family-owned company, in the Future, should a need arise. We operate a luxury-level VR Villa, designed for Large & extra-large families and we have and continue to purchase and upgrade our major appliances, due to not only the usual 'wear n' tear', but also due to the very Poor Quality of our Public water utility. In April, during one of our Family guest stays, we expereinced a new problem with our Whirlpool Cabrio washer, that was reported on a Sunday. I went over to the villa and confirmed that there was an Internal problem, that sounded like the drum was spinning off it's axis, which was a great concern for our guests and us, of course. Monday morning, I called Aloha Appliance and got a same day service appointment. What on a Monday? Totally unheard off! The JD, the technician arrived when earlier than expected and quickly diagnosed the problem (a pair of large swim trunks), after taking the sides apart. The swim trunks were jammed into the wheel cogs, usually happens from "Over-filling" the washer, btw. JD called me over to show me what the 'problem' had been, which is more than what other technicians have done for us in the past, and then re-assembled the washer and ran it for a couple of different wash cycles in order to confirm a normal operation. One of the Major benefits from all this, as far as it pertains to Guest Reviews of our Accommodations, is that it clearly demonstrated to our guests that we make every attempt to correct or find a Solution to any Household or property Issue or Problem, Two, that we were able to get Same Day Repair Services, and Three, that keeps OUR Customers (Guests, Clients, Families, Companies) Happy and Stress-free. AAloha Appliance - Konathey were able to come to fix my fridge in 2 days from when i called (fridge was running but not cooling at all) and was super punctual - and luckily we only needed a minimal parts replacement which he had in his truck. He fixed it really quick, vacuumed out the back for me when i brought the vac out to clean it, then left. Then half an hour later when it suddenly stopped running and i called he came right back and checked into it and reset the timer for when it goes into auto defrost to wait til 8 hours (unbeknownst to me it does a 20 min defrost 3 x a day automatically). He was absolutely great and totally professional and very nice! I wholly recommend Aloha Appliance Repair! The 9 year old fridge has been running perfectly again since.- cat e.

AAble II Appliance RepairsFabian was on time, friendly and figured out exactly what was wrong with my oven AND washing machine quickly. He told me that the part for the washer would take a week and loaned me another one for free! I was able to finally wash the laundry that built up quickly with three girls. AAloha Appliance - KonaThe retailer if purchased the item from recommended another company to service my dryer. I called them and they told me that they couldn't come out for a week and that it would be $90.00 for an estimate. I hung up and remembered we had used them once before and had a very bad experience with them, they were very rude and unprofessional. I got the yellow pages and look up under appliance repair, I figured I might as well find someone else, Aloha was one of the first companies listed and I called them and they came out the next day found the problem (bad water pump, I think the retailer should have replaced it at no charge because it was new, but again they have a captive customer) they ordered it and two days later they came out and replaced it. Great Service I will always use them for this type of repairs.- John c.

AAble II Appliance RepairsFabian returned my phone message within 30 minutes, and showed up at my home exactly when he said he would, about an hour later. He introduced himself and went straight to work on my dryer. He diagnosed the problem and had it remedied very handily. He was very pleasant and personable, careful to avoid tracking dirt into my house, and he took the time to ensure that his work was complete and successful. Appliance problems are never welcome, but Fabian will be my first choice in any future instances.- Mark N.

FAmerican Home Shield (AHS) warranty is replacing my broken microwave with a new one. I received the new microwave on 11/11/2020 and notified AHS it was in my possession. Part of the warranty contract includes the installation of the new microwave. AHS typically assigns contractors themselves. However, this time AHS contracted with C & R Services with a dispatch number on 11/13/2020 for C & R to assign a local contractor to do the install. After two weeks of waiting and not being contacted by C & R or a contractor, I called C & R to follow up on the status. They said it would be 1 to 2 weeks from the date they received the dispatch from AHS. I informed them it had been 2 weeks in which they replied that it would be another 2 weeks. As of today, 12/11/2020, 4 weeks from the date C & R received the dispatch, I have not been contacted by C & R or a contractor. C & R's lack of communication and customer service is absurd. AHS informed me that they do not have any authority over C & R.

FThey told me it was a covered repair and to get the work done and submit invoice and they would reimburse us. We got it done and submitted the invoice. After 3 months of constant follow up they covered part of the parts charge and none of the labor. Then, following up again, they responded with, WE ARE CLOSING THE BUSINESS.
