Dr. WIlson is a very communicable optomotrists. I've been under his care since moving here over 10 years ago, and trust my eyesight to him and only him. I am blind in my left eye, and for that reason, it's extremely important that I take care of the right eye. I am adamant on getting my annual eye examination.

    WILSON EYE CARE CENTER
The eye exam was done professionally and with expert care. The frame and lens purchase was handled extremely poorly and unprofessionally. The initial technician that handled my purchase Ashley I believe was her name treated me professionally and with care. From then on in it was downhill from there. The first pair the frame broke less than 24 hours later. Brought back for a replacement frame and the technician insinuated that I had left them out in my car in the sun and heat. Turned out the frames were susceptible to acetone because the frames were made of plastic. This was discovered only after the second pair broke as well. They made several attempts to get me to try other frames which I did do. But they were not anywhere near the quality of the Oakley pair I wanted. The staff became very impatient with me by this point and it was obvious they no longer wished to help me. Nobody seemed to think all the trips that I was forced to make in Missing work or the inconvenience I had endured made any difference. These glasses were more than $500.00 and I should not have been treated the way the optical technicians and manager handled the situation that was not the a cause of the customers. Long story short I did get the original Oakley frame. But it became obvious quickly it is all about the money not the customer experience.

On the positive side the optometrist do show compassion and provide excellent care. But as far as buying the frames and lenses there forget about it. Because of that experience I will never return.

Went very well. Dr. McMurry is easy to talk to and ask questions. The optical staff is very helpful in selecting just the right frame for you and your personality. Yes, it can be expensive, but you do get what you pay for.

    Wilson, Dr. Steven M.
I was very pleased at my last visit. From the reception area I had my glaucoma exam, got my eye glasses cleaned too! I was then brought to the exam room where they took my blood pressure and performed the eye chart exam. Shortly thereafter I met with Dr. Wilson. He also treats my severe dry eye and always tests to see where I stand in that area. Having a change in prescription I was then let to the eye glass area where I was assisted in choosing an affordable frame (no insurance). My prescription was filled perfectly. Everyone of his staff I came in contact with was pleasant and assisted me well. I will continue to see Dr. Wilson and have no complaints.

I have been going to Wilson Eye Center for about 5 years. Dr. Wilson is very kind and thorough. He provides excellent eye care. I highly recommend him, his office, and staff to anyone looking for eye care or products.

I scheduled an eye exam and was very happy with the exam and the amount of time the doctor spent with me. After the exam they were quite pushy about getting the glasses there. I was happy with the first pair of glasses but the seemed a bit expensive. They didn't really explain about how the insurance worked and teh second pairn of glasses (sunglasses) that I got were very expensive. I will try another place next time.

I initially thought they was good but it went bad afterwards. I just tried to get contacts but they made me come in for another visit. They told me that they didn't test right on the first visit. It was all the same though and they even charged a more. They didn't care about me, they just wanted their money.

He is extremely thorough. I had something taken off of my eyelid by another doctor and got an infection from that treatment. This doctor treated me for it because the other doctor wouldn't. If I called him in the middle of the night, he would see me.

    Petermann, Dr. Scott H.
I was very pleased with the ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment I received at South Georgia Eye Partners. The Assistant who handled my introduction to the practice discovered an acute problem that many may have missed. The doctor then treated my difficulty quickly and professionally. The problems did not begin until after I decided to fill their prescription for corrective lenses. All their lenses are made in another office over and hour away. When I finally received my new glasses the technician who fitted my frames broke one of my lenses. After the replacement came I could not see clearly for the next two weeks. When I returned and asked them to check my lenses, they had indeed put in the wrong lens/prescription. After another three weeks my "new" glasses were returned, this time with two different types of anti-glare applied. Four months later I am still waiting for my "new" glasses. If you see Dr. Petermann expect to be treated professionally and courteously. However, take your prescription somewhere else for your new glasses!

I have worn glasses since i was very young but this was the best eye exam I ever had! I really appreciated the professionalism of the staff and when I had the exam which I chose to pay extra to include the optomap testing I found that there were unexpected issues behind my eyes caused by medical issues. The doctor completed my exam and very thoroughly explained all his findings. The staff helped me find just the right frame to fit both my face and my heavy prescription. The optomap unit was so thorough that I had a followup visit to ensure that I was not having more issues with the bleeding behind my eyes. My exam was covered by medical insurance and I was very pleased with all my results. I highly recommend getting the Optomap exam-it will cost a bit more but is well worth the money especially if you have chronic illness like high blood pressure or diabetes or things of that nature that can have an adverse effect on your eyes!
