    HP Exteriors
I hired HP years ago when I first purchased my home to do residing. Then I had them redo my windows. I've referred a number of clients to them and everyone has been really pleased. Their business has grown so much they have a more limited service area now, but when we had a couple of problems they fixed them and were super responsive. This company does business the right way.

Make a Choice Home Exterior LLC
We hired this contracting firm for two separate projects. The first was our 3 story deck - when we bought our fixer upper the deck was really cool but needed some loving. Tim from Make a Choice was so positive and really got the job done. He brought all the railings up to code, fixed the rotted footings with new concrete piers, and kept the place clean. Easy to communicate with and his team was so professional and nice - even to the point that when we asked that they keep noise down during our kids' naptime - they complied. Deck feels so sturdy now. Second project was our roof. Ours was old and leaking. We called Tim's brother Chuck over and he quoted us a roof repair with architectural shingles. Quote came in several thousand less than another trusted roofer we knew and since we had a good experience with Make a Choice in the past we went with them. Only issue was that we had a loss of communication in that we needed our skylights taken out and team working on it did not get that memo. However, issue brought to attention and they took care of it. We will probably be hiring this firm again to do some new siding and painting in the near future.

CRSI Siding | Windows | Painting
We love CRSI, and have used them for a variety of services.

We first hired Joe around ten years ago.  Joe put on new siding and, time being the real test , it still looks great.! We get compliments all the time.  Matt and his crew painted all the exterior wood - the columns, windows and doors, finishing the look.  Matt has been back to re-touch over the years and we have been so impressed with their work ethic and honesty that we have referred them often.  Most recently, my sister-in-law used Matt to re-paint their entire interior - They are thrilled and it looks fabulous!

In 2015, we had Joe come back to replace the windows.  We had over 20 windows - and we are very happy with both the quality of the product  and the work.  The new windows really have cut down on the outside noise and energy costs.

Last year, we embarked on a major kitchen/powder room renovation and Matt not only supplied the painting, but gave us a lead on our contractor as well.  Good people just seem to work with other good people.  When Matt finishes a job, he encourages you to do a walk through as he sincerely wants to leave the premises with a happy customer.

Both Matt and Joe are very responsive and, in this day where companies come and go,  they have stayed in business by leaving their customers, both old and new, satisfied.  I am looking forward to having Matt, Luis and the crew back to do the downstairs very soon!

We are happy repeat customers, and happy to recommend their work.

    Gutter Creations Inc
The crew was very efficient and hardworking. However, they had no place to put the old siding, and the site looked messy, unprofessional. I called Jon and he fixed the problem immediately. The workers neatly piled the siding until the dumpster arrived and kept the site neat for the duration of the installation and painting. After the siding was removed, they wrapped the house and prepared the house for painting They spent quite a bit of time making sure that the house was ready. They covered what needed to be covered: caulked what needed to be caulked. It was a job well done. I definitely would recommend them for siding.

Russ and his crew did an absolutely fabulous job - made the house look completely different and a 100 times better.  They were very professional and got the job done in record time.  We liked that he showed us previous jobs he had completed, not just studio pictures.  Definitely more detailed/clean than the other homes nearby.

He really did live up to expectations and repeated multiple times from start to finish that he will fix any issues, if found in the future, even after he was paid in full.

    Southern Specialty Contractor LLC
The work went really well. Rod (the owner) observed roof damage caused by hail and managed the entire matter of dealing with the insurance company. He met with the insurance adjuster in my absence and handled pretty much everything. He worked EXTENSIVELY with insurance to get everything paid for that the policy was SUPPOSED to pay for. When insurance left things off (repeatedly) from the claim, ROD called and got it handled. When insurance was slow to send checks, Rod waited on the checks and did not ask me to pay. I doubt I could have gotten this paid by the insurance company at all, or at least would have been paid far less. and honesty, I would not have known to ask about insurance to begin with. I was unaware of the hail damage-- very obvious when Rod showed me, but I would probably have simply hired a roofer and paid without thinking of insurance, had not the damage been brought to my attention.

Fact of the matter is that other people from companies NOT related to Rod had suggested repairing ONLY the soffits, claiming it was caused by squirrel damage, never suggesting the roof leaking was the cause. Had I listened to others, I would have potentially spent thousands to repair things when a leaking roof would have let the new work be spoiled.

Southern Specialty accessed the OVERALL situation, and advised what needed to be repaired to actually stop the leak and to facilitate a long-term solution, though they were willing to do repairs based on my selection and in my order of preference. No "hard-selling", no pressure.

They found leaks that I had not seen causing lots of damage, like leaking chimney caps which caused problems including significant damage to the ceiling of a closet where the water ran down. (Who inspects the ceiling of a dimly lit walk-in closet often?) Again, very real issues that needed to be addressed but had long gone unnoticed... Clearly the competition only wanted to do repairs that they could offer and make money off of. The competition also failed to notice the roof leaks were caused by hail damage and that this could be an insurance matter. That oversight alone could have cost me MANY thousands out-of-pocket... thankfully, Southern Specialty helped me get paid properly by the insurance which we had been paying for over the last 20 years. It was nice to get paid what we deserved by our insurance for a change!

All the work for insurance was handled on one bill, and the rest of the work was handled separately. Insurance work was paid for completely by insurance. My price (from Southern Specialty) was adjusted down in some cases when insurance short-paid. I was never asked to pay extra for areas where insurance was not willing to pay enough, as sometimes seems to happen (on insurance-covered issues) with other contractors.
In the middle of the heaviest work, I came by several times to see perhaps a dozen workers in motion around my house working on several projects simultaneously. All workers were respectful and courteous. If I had a question, workers stopped what they were doing, and came and answered my questions. When I said I wanted things done particular way, people just did what they were asked without issue. It was somewhat amazing... We had a LOT of work done and not once was anybody rude or difficult to deal with.

A few small issues came up after the work was done-- things like loose trim or a small area of a wall repair that needed a bit of additional work. (Underscore "small" issues.) Hardly surprising with this much work needing to be handled. Rod sent people back to handle the concerns with no hassles, and no cost, so he clearly stands behind his work as well.
I could not have hoped for a better experience. Good contractors are hard to find. Give Rod ad Southern Specialty an opportunity to quote your job before you agree to work with anybody else.

Russ did an excellent job replacing the frame and siding around the chimney. His price came in much lower than the  other estimates that we received. Other companies didn't want the job because of the height of the chimney but Russ and his team took it on and did wonderful work!! We would definitely recommend Russ and his team and would use him again.

    First Choice Solutions
We couldn't be more pleased with the job done by First Choice Solutions in painting our house and making siding repairs.  They were responsive in providing an estimate and getting the work done in a timely manner.  Their crew was very thorough and did quality work.  At the end of the project they did a good job with clean up and were responsive in taking care of any touchups needed.  We were getting our house ready to sell and were thrilled with the finished product.  Our house hasn't looked this good in twenty years.  We would not hesitate to hire First Choice in the future or to recommend them to friends.

    A Nu Age Home Exteriors
Despite rave reviews on Angies List, we were very disappointed with Robert. Without even getting into the quality of the work done or Roberts lack of attendance in supervising his crews, we were very, very, unhappy with Roberts request for significant additional sums within a week after the start of the project. Robert claimed he "forgot" to price the roof covering our screened in porch and "didn't know" that there were multiple layers of shingles that had to be removed. When asked why he didn't get up on the roof to insure his quote was accurate he stated "I don't go up on roofs anymore".
At the end of a very unhappy process, Roberts final bill was about $800-$900 dollars higher than agreed to and when he was asked to verify the additional amount, he stated that he couldn't remember what the additional charge was for so we should just "forget about it". Problems with Robert's unwillingness to supervise his workers are too numerous to document here, but should Robert dispute any of the above, I can provide these distressing details.
For what it is worth, in many years on Angie's List I have never submitted a negative review.

    Sterling Paint & Construction Services
From the first encounter when I received an estimate, the people at Sterling were very professional and it was clear that they take pride in their work. I selected them because they had no rating in Angie's list lower than a "B", and 85% of their ratings were "A".
Their bid was almost $3000.00 lower than the highest bid I received from one of their competitors and about $1000.00 more than the low bid. My sense was that they would deliver value, and I have to say, they exceeded my expectations. Every employee was courteous. They did a good job in keeping me informed about the progress of the work. It took longer than I expected to complete the job, but they explained why and I appreciated that. I felt like they cared about my home. My wife changed the color selection and they were good about working with her to her satisfaction. They guarantee their work for 5 years and the gutters for 30 years. All in all, I cannot imagine a company doing a better job. The owner of the company called me to inquire about my satisfaction while the work was in progress, and told me to call him directly if I was unhappy for any reason. They did not ask for any deposit and did not ask to be paid until they were certain that I was satisfied. I would definitely use them again and definitely recommend them. They are not the lowest price but you will get your money's worth based upon my experience.
