    Basement King LLC
I called two contractors to come out and look at the problem area. The first guy was useless-/ looked at the wet spot in the basement, walked around the perimeter, then wrote out an expensive proposal for waterproofing. This company did not charge for the visit. Then Anthony arrived. He cut a hole in the sheetrock and explored the whole area very carefully, including turning on the hose full blast and running it right along the foundation for 30+ minutes. He found the problem a leaky pipe and gave us a competitive bid. I was very impressed with Anthony. He was there over an hour and clearly was not going to leave until he found the answer to the problem. Kudos to Anthony and Basement King for outstanding customer service. Im a Realtor and you can bet that all of my colleagues will get my strong recommendation to use this company in the future. The $50 charge for the visit was money well spent, whereas the $0 charged by the first contractor was an appropriate amount for what I got nothing.

    A best dry waterproofing
. I spent money with other contractors that couldn't stop the water from coming in. Best Dry came and found the origin of the water and I haven't had a problem since. These guys did great work and I would recommend them to anyone.

They showed up on the date we set, and was on time, went right to work and did an outstanding job. After they completed the job we got rain but for the first time in a long time I had no water in my basement. Outstanding company. The cost will depend on what your needs are. As for me I had them do my basement and the whole outside of my home and I have a lifetime warrant .

We had a few cracks in the foundation which allowed the water to penetrate and flood our basement everytime there was a storm. We couldn't decide what to do about itfor some time and considered trying to do it ourselves. Eventually we decided to call in the experts. Glad we did. They came out as scheduled and worked fast. The foreman and his crew were very polite and professional. Answered all of our questions and explained each step of work being done. The foundation cracks were repaired and a new pump installed as well as new drains around the house. Now we can finally finish our basement.

    Harris Waterproofing & Construction Inc
Called Harris Waterproofing and the owner showed up and gave an estimate. I later call THREE separate times to arrange for the work to be done. On THREE separate occasions I was essentially ignored. We moved on. Sure would make good business sense to at least let me know they didn't want to do the job.

I am very disappointed with Lance, the owner of this company.  The job did not go in the professional manner it should have.  It started with Lance not providing the invoice he stated he would up front.  It was only after he left the job unfinished that he provided a $6,600 invoice to me.  This was $2,600 more than the $4,000 we had initially agreed upon.  Overall, Lance miss represented his company and their ability to effectively complete this job.  They did not completed the waterproofing and they also tore up the yard beyond what should have been required for the job.  As it stands now, I do not want Lance to complete the remaining work.  I need Lance to make an adjustment to his inflated invoice to account for the additional expenses I have incurred as a result of Lance's incomplete work.  This includes roughly $2,780 for equipment, labor, and material expenses to manage the existing damage Lance's efforts created, such as floor boards that are now cupping up, and repair of yard damage.  This $2,780 does not account for the additional expenses I will incur to actually have the waterproofing correctly completed.

HORRIBLE experience.... BROKEN TILES, a BIG MESS to clean - inside and outside of my home, and UNFINISHED projects.... Those were my thanks for working with A-Team Home Repair LLC/Jason Brooks!
I found his ad on CraigsList, and I really wish now that I would have gone with someone else.
The work began the Tuesday after Memorial Day and was NEVER completed! Everything was fairly decent until he received the last payment... oh, how I wish I could turn back time!
I paid him 40% of the total cost upfront, and I paid him before the work was completed (my fault... and lesson learned), under the condition that he returned to complete the work. Ha!
My house was left in a total mess! His worker dumped grout/dust on the walkway leading up to my house and on my plants! Behind my home, there is a pile of trash that his worker dumped and didn't remove. He told my wife that EVERYTHING would be completed and cleaned up... but it wasn't! When we got home on the day that the work was "completed", all of our furniture was still pushed to one side of the room, all of the paint, trash, tools, etc. that his worker had used were on the floor. The wetbar remodel would have been completed by him simply putting up some shelves - ha! My wife's shelves were on the FLOOR! The fireplace was a total mess... His worker BROKE half of the tiles (some of which were outside in the pile) and didn't flush the tiles to the wall. Instead of using the appropriate corner piece, he used scrap pieces that could have been used to give the fireplace a finished look. I do have pictures!
I have called Jason a few times in the last week to get this work completed, but he blamed his worker one day and then didn't answer his phone the next. So, long story short... I have to find a reputable contractor to finish the work that I had already paid Jason to complete. We are not completely sure but we believe that the contractor took some of the equipment that we had purchased when he left.

    AquaGuard Foundation Solutions
Overall the experience was fine. They scheduled on on a Saturday but they don't work on Saturday so we had to get scheduled later which was inconvenient. Work completed was fine & we have not had any problems to date.

These folks were among several we asked out to look at waterproofing the basement at our house. They proposed the most effective/least disruptive means of stopping the leak (an interior waterfall on one of our basement walls) and cleaning up the damaged areas on the floor. They took a while to get out, but came as promised. They finished the work promptly and after the basement finished drying out, there are no signs that there ever was a problem. They know what they are doing.

    Trotter Co
The representative (Mason) visited us to listen to our description of the problem. After asking (and answering) many questions, he came up with what sounded like a reasonable solution. He gave us an estimate right away. We had further questions, and he came back to the house to be sure we understood everything. He had many helpful ideas. We decided to go with it.

The job began with a visit by the foreman (Brandon) several days before the actual work began. He went over the job in complete detail, answering all of our questions. Trotter Company went "above and beyond" to make sure the job was done correctly, and that the walls looked aesthetically correct when they were done. The outside landscaping was also very attractively done. They were here for one full day, and did an excellent job cleaning up the area. The crew was very professional.

We have hired Trotter Company at a previous house in the Atlanta area. We were completely satisfied then, and now they are '2 for 2.'

In addition to Trotter, we evaluated B-Dry and Aquaguard, and they are worth listening to. Each had good products and very reasonable representatives. For our problem, Trotter's solution seemed to be the best fit.

UPDATE nearly a year later: With the crazy amount of rain we have had in Atlanta this year, the Trotter system has performed flawlessly. Knocking firmly on wood, I believe our moisture problem has been solved.
