    85 Locksmith
Nathan was outstanding. He called ahead to confirm the appointment, arrived promptly, gave me the cost upfront, worked quickly and efficiently. I couldnt be happier with the quality of his work and the price I received. Would recommend him to anyone!

    Davidson Lock & Key
There was a $75 service charge plus $10 dollars per lock. They provided service as advertised. Family business and very friendly.  Rekeying locks is less expensive than purchasing new locks. Would recommend.

    Unlockit Locksmith & Security
The person performing the service was friendly, on time and proficient.  When I decided to add additional work upon his arrival, he was very accommodating.  I would use again and recommend.

    Mr Locksmith Co
He was late arriving, but did call to let us know of his delay. The delay was not a problem for us. He re-keyed 3 locks and installed 2 double deadbolt locks and 1 single deadbolt. The work was good. He left everything as clean as it was when he arrived. We couldn't have asked for a better job or better locksmith.

    Captain Locksmith
In retrospect I think all the signs were there that this would be a bad experience. I chose Captain Lock smith from Angie’s list and gave them a call. They explained that someone would come out to my house to do the work. They estimated the cost to be approximately 180.00. Once the guy arrived he gave my son a different price. He said the reason was that it was more involved than he originally thought. The work was done in my driveway. After about an hour he said the job was finished. He gave my son two keys. One that opened the door and started the car and one that only opened the door. A few weeks ago my son started to complain about his key sticking until finally this past weekend, it would not come out at all. That is when I called Captain LockSmith. The woman I spoke to was evasive at first, just really weird and then she asked me when was this done and that is when she told me that they have a 72 hour warranty. Anything after that is not covered. She told me that she could put in another service call for me and I told her no but that I would like to speak to a manager. She said that he was not there but I could call back at 5 and ask for Juan. I did not call back. I am just frustrated and angry. The work was apparently substandard and no one ever said a word about a 72 hour warranty. I have never heard of such. 344.00 is a lot of money and it is not the way I expected Captain LockSmith to work. I just found a ripoff report on line about them. (hyperlink removed)

    A Friendly Locksmith
My experience with them went fine.  They did a good job.  They were fine, on time and courteous.  It was a good price.  They were there when they said they would be there.  They were good.

    Unlockit Locksmith & Security
Unlockit did a good job. I was pleased that they offered Saturday service, which meant that I didn't have to take time off work. Gil was my technician. He was professional and courteous. I had locks on four doors that needed to be changed, and it took about an hour. It was raining outside, and Gil--without my asking--removed his shoes to avoid getting my laminate floors wet. Unlockit called on Monday to follow up and see how everything went. I would definitely use them again.

Our appointment time was 10:30 am but Brent did not arrive until 11:30 am.  The office as well as Brent phoned to tell us in plenty of time that he would be later due to the previous job.  Once Brent, a very patient and bright young man,  arrived he discussed with us the options for replacing the front door lock to one that was keyed on both sides.  The current lock was also very difficult to lock and unlock so we felt we were getting twice the deal--a better operating lock and one that was more secure because our front door has glass in it that could easily have been broken so that a burglar could reach in to unlock the door from the inside.  We discussed changing all the outside door locks so we would have a single house key but that cost was prohibitive.   We can easily deal with 2 keys for the outside doors.  We also received a 10% senior discount from Unlockit.  Soon after Brent's visit the office called to check on the service and we have also gotten a follow-up letter from the owner.  Wow--this company is surely on top of their work and their service.  We would recommend them to anyone.

    Jones Safe & Lock Co
I had a break in and they were able to come out within an hour to change the locks for me. They were friendly and honest. He recommended a better lock and I took him up on it. The price was average I think but I'm not sure of the total.

The locksmith company is apparently a nationally owned corporation. When I called, I specifically asked if they were familiar with or could dispatch someone familiar with Baldwin hardware (a specialty high end hardware lock). When the locksmith arrived, he had a toolbox that was insufficient, in his personal car, at the wrong address, and I found him at the neighbors house. He claimed to be capable, again, on inquiry of replacing a Baldwin mortise. After one hour, he returned to inform me that he could not get the door to work, because its a complicated door system, and the door must be broken, and I should have the door replaced. I was charged for a service call and half labor. In calling the door company the recommend a reputable contractor that works with the locks and stated that had he read the instructions, that any qualified locksmith could have easily replaced the lock. The person that showed up could not have even re-keyed had it been required because he had not tools.
