    My son and I consulted with three orthodontists in the Snellville area when it was time for him to have orthodontic work done.  Dr. Silver, on looking at the x-rays I brought with us, told us that he could not determine what was the best course to take until he saw a 3-dimensional x-ray ( my son had an impacted adult canine on one side).  Long story short, after viewing that additional x-ray with us, he told us what he felt was the best way to correct my son's teeth and why.  Although his plan was not what we expected to hear given what we had been told by one of the other orthodontists, we could see the logic to Dr. Silver's plan given the additional x-ray, so we decided to go with him.  That extra step he took to look at a 3-D x-ray really paid off.  My son just had his braces removed and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. I will also say that, start to finish, everyone in the Snellville office was extremely nice and easy to work with.

    It was awesome. He actually returned my call on a weekend when I had a problem with tooth ache and he returned my call on a Sunday and brought me on a busy schedule on a Monday so he was very flexible and personable. When I got in the office it was very professional, very clean and it was everything I was looking for. The staff was very experienced and had been there forever and ever and they were great.

    It went really well. He's an amazing dentist. He's an implant specialist and periodontist. He's one of the first dentists to be certified in implant technology. Their office is closed on Fridays and Mondays and they are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. His staff is very experienced and the office is immaculate with state-of-the-art equipment. They all know what they are doing.

    The visit went incredibly well. He did only the things that were needed to be done and even talked ot me about setting up a plan for the additional work that I needed to have. His staff even went as far as to help me understand my insurance and how the process works from the back end of the office. I am happy with my decision and plan to go back to his office soon

    Overall, I was very happy with the services provided. I had had mediocre experiences with other dentists over the past few years.



    My first appointment was for the regular old exam, x-rays, and cleaning. I thought my hygienist was great! I appreciated that they kept me informed of the bill/prices as we went along and made sure to tell me what was covered by my insurance and what wasn't. I was able to ask questions about my x-rays as they have computers right next to the chairs. Both the hygienist and Dr. Vik were more than willing to explain everything for me. I felt comfortable the entire time and appreciated the time they took to really CARE about my teeth. As I left, I scheduled my next appointment for 6 months away. I can honestly say that I have never felt so great about going to a dentist!



    A few weeks later, I went in for ZOOM! whitening. I liked that they were punctual and ready for me when I got there! I was able to get started and get out of there in about 1.5 hours. Aside from the pain of teeth whitening (I have sensitive teeth), it was great. Prior to coming in, the dentist recommended some prescription toothpaste to help with the sensitivity - VERY thankful for that! The results were great and I experienced no gum burning or pain.



    The only problem with the office is that it is hard to get a routine appointment in a short amount of time. You generally have to schedule pretty far in advance. It is probably because the office is quite small, but sometimes that can be a positive thing!

    This was a horrible experience by an incompetent staff.  This was the last of about 6 appointments to do a root canal and place a crown on the tooth.  The first Doctor on the staff and his assistant failed to take a proper impression and I was forced to come back twice for that.  In the mean time this doctor was fired and a new staff doctor took over.  This doctor indicated the first doctor was not correct in his diagnosis of the crown that was needed and that I would require an extended crown which consisted of removing the temp crown, grinding down the bone around what was left of the tooth such that a longer crown could be placed.  He indicated the first doctor had tried to get around this by building up the tooth with dental filling material and that this would eventually break off.  SO this work was done and I came back for the apt on 8/1 were the permanent crown was placed.  And let me add that in the process of all this, the new doctor also indicated the adjacent crown was not done correctly by the first doctor and that was replace too.


    Today 11/21/2013 I went to a new doctor in Loganville for a check up and after xrays and oral examination I was advised that the crown mentioned above was incorrect and was loose and needed to be fixed.  In the process I was shown xrays that indicated there was no crown post to hold the crown in as well as the fact that the crown was not deep enough to hold.  All of this was what was supposed to be fixed by Dr Allens staff.  Needless to say I have contacted Dr Allen's staff and insisted that I be reimbursed for the fault work done as well as learned they have been holding on to overpayment by my insurance company, which I have also asked to be returned.

    Tooth had to be surgically removed, local anesthetic was adminestered , the tooth was extreemely difficult to remove, as a result of pressure on the lower jaw in drilling and pulling my jaw was sore.
    My jar remain swollen for eight days, however I survived yhe ordeal I had a followup visit in six weeks to do filling and denture adjustment which went well.
