The baffles in a septic tank are designed to keep solids in the tank and allow water to flow into the drainfield. Incompetence. Lying. $350 for a septic tank to be pumped, for damage to be discovered that could lead to total failure, and to be told I have to pay $2500 for a job that is several hours work and $40 in parts. Initial effort to complete job stopped for good reason. Operator discovered a buried cable near the tank that look like it could be electrified. Placed One Call that came out the next day.
