    BEAR MOUNTAIN CUSTOM PAINTING
Overall, Bear Mountain did a good job re-painting my home. And you will probably find that they are cheaper than some painters if you get a lot of quotes. I would say youll be satisfied with the paint job, but dont use them for any repairs, and be aware that they will do the minimum necessary to complete the job. You are getting what you pay for. A basic paint job. I do not like what they consider touch up and how they bill. It seems like touch up could be anything from a small missed spot, to an entire corner missed, to something in the contract not completed. In other words, I think they use touch up a little too loosely. Their invoices will state that payment is due upon substantial completion. So, as you could imagine, they will want payment and could consider many things touch up, when I would consider it, job incomplete. What happened with me is after a quick glance I thought they were 100% done, and didnt even see touch up items, and I paid them. But, later on I noticed areas where the paint was thinly sprayed on, a corner board not painted, nail holes not filled in, and an attic vent I stressed should be painted with extra care because its really old wood, which was not. And with that vent screen which should be replaced which was not. I even reminded the lead guy while he was here. I played phone tag with them to try and get them back for touch up. Ive been very busy at my job and would miss their call. I would call back and they would say that the person who called already left or was not available. Then I honestly was afraid even if they came back they wouldnt do this attic vent right, so I just took care of it. I was afraid because they arent craftsmen or carpenters first. They are painters - even though they advertise they do all the repair stuff too. I would recommend you hire a quality carpenter if you need any repairs done. They replaced some flashing for me, attempted to screw part of it down through cement (unique situation - long story). You can tell they had trouble with this part and just left screw holes in a few spots where they couldnt get the screws to grip into the cement. I also needed a fascia board replaced. They forgot at first, but did come back and did that on the last day. I know they forgot because why would you replace a board after painting the area? And, it was done in a rough manner in my opinion. It just seems like the carpentry side of their crew members may not be their strong suit. And because thats the vibe I got - I didnt want them to come back and attempt to re-do anything honestly. That parts on me I guess. In short, since they may not hurt your wallet as much as certain companies, Id say, use them for your exterior paint job, but maybe before they come out, have someone else you really trust do any wood rot repairs, or other carpentry work. It also depends on how picky you are. Perhaps the level of quality Im looking for just doesnt exist anymore. Or, doesnt exist in my price range.

Ivan was very responsive to our initial inquiry and throughout the process. The crews were punctual, professional and had great attention to detail throughout. The work was outstanding and we're thrilled with the result! Uploading a before and after photo.

Weather caused a lot of delay in this project. Outdoor work, especially painting, just can't be done in the rain. On the calendar it took longer, but basically the siding work was done in two days and the painting work was done in one. I liked the Nichiha product because it was made in Georgia out of recycled fly-ash waste. It also had a better grain pattern than the other product I'd seen. The salesman I worked with was quick to provide answers to any questions I had, and I think I had a lot. I liked the the contract was sent to me in a Word document that I could edit and send back rather that a form of unreadable small print I had expected. I actually specified the color I wanted in the contract. Now that it all done, I've very pleased with the appearance and wish I'd done it sooner. I'm sure it added more value to my house than it actually cost me.

    Atlanta Roofing Specialist Inc
It takes a while to get an estimate, and with all the recent rain, a while to get the work done. But the knowledge and professionalism of Daniel the estimator and Juan the crew leader was great. The vent replacement was troublesome, but Juan made two trips to the store for parts and stayed with it to make it right. We will have rain this weekend and I assume there will be no leaks.

Make a Choice Home Exterior LLC
Overall, I was very pleased with Make a Choice Home Exterior. It was a large project and we had our minor issues (a few broken clay pots, minor touch-ups needed), but they addressed every concern I had, stayed on budget, and worked hard until the job was complete. The newly installed siding was cut very precisely, minimizing any gaps and looks great. I would definitely recommend, and I would use this company again on future projects.

    Dr Roof Atlanta Inc
Let me first state that everyone that I spoke to at Dr. Roof was polite initially. I contacted Dr. Roof to see if someone could come out to inspect my home for hail or storm damage. They submitted a proposal stating that I had possible damage and stated that my insurance company was more lenient than most regarding storm damage. After several months, I apprehensively contacted my insurance company to place a claim on getting a new roof after conversing with the storm damage department several times. I was nervous about my policy amount increasing after I made the claim and not being able to get a new roof, so I contacted Dr. Roof to see if a roofer could come meet with the insurance agent on my behalf. Big mistake on my part. The roofer, though nice, was rather talkative and unnecessarily showed the agent items inside the house and on the roof that indicated that the leaks were possibly not caused by storm damage. Needless to say, the agent stated that I did not need a roof based on "my roofer" suggestions. After the agent left, the roofer indicated that he could get someone out to give me an estimate on repairing the leak, for which I would have to pay out of pocket. He stated that I should give it a few more years and I would probably need a new roof. I would have done better without his help. Additionally, I recently sought out an estimator for siding and windows and called Dr. Roof to make an appointment. Oscar came out and measured the house and informed me that he would provide the estimate by Saturday. It was Thursday, On Monday, I did not receive the estimate, so I called the office. Each time, they indicated that I would have it that day. I called again on Tuesday, and the young lady indicated that she would send it over in 30 minutes. I still have not received the estimate. Since I did not hear from Oscar, I went ahead and signed a contract for full house window replacement (20+ windows) with another company. Unfortunately, they don't install siding. I guess I'll keep looking for siding companies.

CRSI Siding | Windows | Painting
Three words to best summarize CRSI: Honest, Reliable, & Quality. I think those are the three most important words when finding a contractor to do house work. We've hired CRSI twice over the past 2 years and are hiring them again, this time to paint the entire house exterior. We've had a battery of other contractors do work over the years, only to deal with arrogance, sloppy work, changing prices, and pure dishonesty. Matt is the opposite of all this. Very nice guy, keeps GREAT communication with you, fair prices, thorough crew, and does not disappoint!

The company walked out on the job and refused to continue after only completing one of the 5 items. They said it was due to the fact the work we had contacted for them to do was taking them longer than expected and it was no longer profitable for them. Poor weather slowed progress on the outdoor portion of the job. They never began the interior work. I gave them a deposit before starting. After they walked off before they finished the job, the manager implied they intended to charge me more - even though they walked off before completing the job.

    T & T Custom Crafts
The window crew was excellent. The crew that replaced the cedar siding did an excellent job but they were not as careful as we would have liked with the shrubbery. The shrubbery around the house was subject to more abuse than we expected. Something was thrown onto the roof and damaged a shingle that will need to be replaced. The contractor kept us well informed of the work schedule. The costs for the work was very competitive compared to other quotes we received.
