  • Horrible.... So that this post is factual and not emotional, let me describe my recent experience at Rothbloom Eye Care. As a new client, I was "extremely clear " of my intent to obtain progressive lens glasses due to the need for distance driving, basic vision/reading and for daily computer use. What I asked for was not received. My first use of the glasses was visually uncomfortable yet I was advised to wear them and allow my eyes to adjust. Wearing them over a week I found there was no difference and that in fact I could not read street signs even at a short distance without blurring. I went back and asked to be re- evaluated and was treated by the fitting technician as if I was the issue and not the glasses. I was told the reason you can't see is "because you are not in the track". The fitting technician working with me was both aggressive and curt in her poor customer service skills. I continued to say the glasses were not right. Rather than reexamining the prescription at that moment, the nose pads were adjusted and I was told to go outside and look across the street at street signs to see if it was clearer. Seeing no difference, I asked her to take my glasses and revaluate the prescription of which she came back to say it "matches exactly" to the written prescription. Knowing I was getting no where with her, I left the office feeling "brushed off" and unappreciated for a new client. I filed a complaint with VSP insurance and then went to a different eye doctor who found that I was not provided with progressive lenses, which is why I could not see at a distance. So the final outcome of this horrible experience was that I had to go to a different doctor, fund a new examination, and fund new progressive lenses that actually matched my request and needs. As noted, there may be positive experiences listed on Angies List yet in my case I received: 1. substandard service and horrific customer service 2. a product that I did not receive yet asked for, and 3. later apologies that should have been corrected from the start not when things escalated. Would I recommend this office, absolutely NOT!

  • The office staff is very friendly, the office is clean and seems up to
date, and the doctor seems very knowledgeable. My husband and I will use
this office for our eye needs moving forward!

  • Encountered repeated problems with progressive bifocal lens on multiple pairs of frames. The optician failed to rectify these problems. We attempted to correct the problems several times via discussion with the optical department staff, the optician and the owner. When we asked for a detailed billing summary, we were provided with an incomplete and opaque summary.

  • This is my second year seeing Dr Brillante. He is awesome. Prices are totally reasonable, the hours make it easy to accomodate my schedule, he has great and quot;bedside mannerand quot; and he is relaxed and thorough. I wish I had found him years ago.

  • Great first impression as the facility has plenty of available parking, the building is newer and the interior is well lit, attractively appointed and decorated and the staff is friendly and efficient. Dr. Riemer was outstanding to work with and she is very poised, professional and has excellent bedside manner. She is a skilled professional who provided the most thorough eye examination I have ever had in 15 years of wearing glasses.
I HIGHLY recommend Smyrna Eye Group.

  • The staff is very friendly. I was seen in an excellent time. I love the optimap option (I think that's what they call it). I have a real issue with dilation (I don't handle eye drops well at all) and the fact that I have an alternate is wonderful. I think Dr. Weiss is wonderful, so much so that I have recommended him to friends and family. Since my husband visited the eye doctor for the first time since childhood this year, I made sure to make him an appointment with Dr. Weiss because of his bedside manner and his attitude. My husband also enjoyed his visit.

  • I've been seeing them for 4 years now and they are really the nicest people.  I never have a problem making an appointment.  They make me feel comfortable when I'm there and I do feel confident.

  • It's owned by a husband and wife who are both optometrists.  They are wonderfully personable and very caring about their health and your eyes inparticular.  They have eye glasses for purchase and they have a very nice selection.

  • The staff did a very good job finding frames that flattered my husband's face-a first and he has been in glasses for years! My only complaints had to do with how long it took for the glasses to come in and the cost! Glasses from this practice were much more expensive than similar lenses from other providers.

  • I had an infected eyelid gland and he was very good about it. He analyzed the problem and gave me a prescription and directions on how to care for it at home. It was extremely sore and he was careful when he handled it. He had a very clam and easy demeanor when he handled it.
