Hospital Care reviews in Smyrna

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • I have gotten the best care form there and they do follow up. After the surgery, they do cooking classes, exercises and there are all kinds of mindful classes to help you relax and not be stressed. It is a very good hospital to recommend people with cancer in this area.

  • The Admissions portion did not go to well. There seemed to be some problem with my file. When I began to ask her questions about this she became argumentative. There were problems with the current address which was curious since I had been there for some nine years. Also my plan was not for individual but a family plan. When it came time to process the Admission/Registration document; I hadn't finished reading it yet. So she sent me out to the lobby until I was ready. Which is fine but seemed a little unusual having a problem with me reading before signing it. The pre-op experience was great. The nurse was patient and listened to all of my concerns. All of the nurse staff was very polite and took time to help me with all of my questions. She was very thorough going over my medical history to avoid any complications with the anesthesia.

Post op after surgery was surprising. I was shocked at how quickly I was asked to
leave. When my eyes had opened and I was offered a sip of water and I also had
some Coke. Which I threw up; since I was still recovering from the anesthesia.
Then I was told to get dressed and it was time to leave. I was still incoherent
and trying to focus. I suffered a great deal of pain getting from the bed to a
chair. Getting dressed which was a feat in itself. Finally I was then wheeled
out to the car and managed to get in the passengers seat with help from my
neighbor who was driving me home. . I know costs are high. I would have gladly
paid extra; or feel I should have at least been given an option to do so to stay an extra hour or two. I feel a
little more time would have been beneficial rather than risking a set back .

  • I recommend most of the doctors there. I saw an eye doctor there. Everything went well.
