Dr Seno -Doctor was rude and the staff. Hard to get medicine for the pain. Had a 9 AM appointment Member arrived early . Arrived 15 minutes early. No one in the waiting room and ask to see Doctor. The Receptionist informed Member that they have to wait. Doctor did give medication for the pain.

    St Joseph's/Candler Hospital
I had a horrible experience with them. I went into the ER and I was pretty sick. They were busy which I understand but the doctor was sort of abrupt and not very caring. It took a really long time for him to see me and they just sort of left me in the hallway for six hours without getting any treatment and then they sent me home and when I went back the next day to my doctor, he said that my bloodwork was actually really bad, which they didn't tell me when I was there and they sent me home anyway but they didn't tell me my kidneys were shutting down. I went back to my doctor and then he treated me. The doctor was terrible but the nurse was good. It took forever to be seen. Regarding treatment, they didn't do anything. We wrote a letter actually to the hospital administration and they wrote back. We actually dealt with the hospital administration and they said they were going to deal with the doctor.

She was extremely friendly, helpful, and stayed on the phone with me for as long as it took to get me enrolled in a plan that suited my needs. She was willing and able to answer any questions I had along the way. She put up with me calling her back repeatedly for the past couple of months because I had things change in my life, and I had a very busy school schedule. Ms. Ross was patient and accommodating to my needs, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who might need a private insurance broker.

    Memorial Hospital
We arrived at 7:30 am, and were greeted with the complimentary valet service. Check in was a breeze, and the waiting room was clean and pleasant. Our wait time was 3 hours, but I think the surgeon had an unexpected emergency to take care of. These things happen, and we appreciated the communication. All went well with the surgery, and everyone was so very nice! What a pleasant experience!

I called BCBS of GA and spoke with the customer service person. I explained the situation and she tried to call the lab. Unable to reach anyone she said she would look into it and would give me a call back within a week. A few days later I received a call back from the customer service person and she said that the issue has been resolved and the lab would be considered an in-network charge.

I arrived at Memorial Hospital in the late evening and was taken right in. They were prompt and efficient. I got a room right away, a nice large room. After I was in the bed in pain from the labor contractions I was told there were emergency deliveries going on. Though I was in labor there was no doctor available until 7 am the next day. If I were to need medical care that night, they said, a chief resident would deliver my baby. I got through the night with out delivering and when the 7 am shift arrived, I met the nurse who would assist me though out most of my labor and delivery. She was terrific. The actual doctor came in at the very end for what must have been the last 5 minutes of 12 hours of labor. It was ironic to me, that the doctor would be there for so little, and the nurse (who probably gets paid a lot less than the doctor) was there the entire time, supporting me and helping the delivery to happen. But it only made the nurse that much more special during my labor. Again, she was amazing and all the nurses I met durring my two days stay at the Labor and Delivery and Baby Floor were terrific.

I have kept my enrollment in Blue Cross and Shield under the Federal Employee Program ever since I became eligible for Medicare a little over 2 years ago. My wife also recently became eligible for Medicare. I found that if I discontinued FEP coverage, we were going to have to enroll in four other plans to replace this coverage - 2 Medicare drug plans (Part D) and 2 Medicare Supplement plans. We might have been able to save a few dollars by very careful shopping, but it would also have entailed annual review of prices and options. We are very happy with the BCBS claims administration (they recently helped sort out a large mistaken bill from a doctor's office) and get timely and useful Explanations of Benefits. We have some out of pocket expenses for drugs, but nor more than I would expect from comparable insurance.

Arrived at the ER for a minor injury. The ER unit went on lock down for security reasons.
I'm glad the staff was safe in the back but so much for the customers in the waiting room.
The place was like a zoo.
The entire visit took over four hours. Will go to Candler for quicker service and safety. next time.

While at the Memorial Emergency I was told that because I had not passed out or vomited I probably did not have subdural hematoma, a brain scan showed I certainly did had one, though it was mild. Since it had appeared before 4 days, it was considered an acute case but the neurosurgeon there told me I did not need an operation. They kept me for almost 3 days for observation and did some more tests. As I developed no symptoms and my condition improved, I was released but told to go for an appointment in about 2 weeks

The Midwife Group and Birth Center
I don't know where to begin! Our experience having our first baby at the Birth Center was absolutely amazing. From the minute I found out I was pregnant to now with their wonderful follow-up care, this practice has gone above and beyond my expectations in so many ways. Not only did the midwives provide excellent medical care throughout my pregnancy, they also provided so much education that I feel a traditional OBGYN would not have, all in a home-away-from-home environment with compassionate, family-centered care. My son was born 10 days after his due date, but the midwives were so supportive, patient, resourceful and thorough in their care. I feel certain that I would've been induced had I gone the traditional OB route. My pregnancy was very smooth, my labor and delivery went smoothly and quickly, and I was able to deliver our completely healthy baby boy in a safe, calm environment, not being micromanaged by medical staff, just the way my husband and I had envisioned it. I would recommend the Midwife Group and Birth Center to absolutely anyone who asked, and I plan to stick with them for future well care and future babies!
