    Carla's Furniture Gallery
I purchased a Franklin leather sofa and loveseat from Carla's Furniture Gallery located in Pembroke, GA for $3800.I was promised a 30 day delivery but it didn't arrive until 3 weeks after that. The first day I noticed that the seat cushion was compressing down too far and that the headrests were way overstuffed. I was extremely uncomfortable with my head and neck being pushed down to my chest. The next day when I started to sit back I felt a hard bar across my bottom. The cushion compresses down to nothing so I am actually sitting on a wood slat. Cheap ***! So I contacted Carla and 30 days later the rep shows up. He agrees that the cushion is faulty and promises to replace it. Then he goes to the back of the couch and unzips 3 compartments and start pulling out and restuffing each section. It felt somewhat better but far from perfect. After they left I see a wad of stuffing on the floor behind the couch. I thought perhaps he had left some out so I looked back up in there and see that the top zipper which holds all the stuffing for the headrest is completely busted open. It appeared as if he had zipped a wad of the stuffing in the zipper causing it to separate and break. In fact the other two zippers had wads of stuffing hanging out of them. By this time I had had it and requested to return the faulty sofas to Carla. She has refused saying there is nothing wrong with the sofas. She claims it is a special order and cannot be refunded. Apparently she doesn't care one iota about her customers even if she delivers defective goods. I am now left sitting on a $3800 sofa and loveseat that has defective cushions with a headrest that has to be duct taped to stay closed. All this within 30 days of purchase. Don't buy from Carla"s Furniture Gallery here. She doesn't back what she sells.

Great, Owner was nice, thorough and completed the job in a very timely manner. I am well pleased and would recommend the business to others. It was by far the cheapest I found and in one case half of what another store wanted...and faster service. It was an awesome transaction.

    Earl Ginn Custom Furniture
I called two days after they said it would be ready, and they hadn't started it yet. I called back on the new day it was supposed to be ready, and they told me it was just repaired and the glue needed a couple of days to dry. When I eventually picked up the drawer, the dovetails had been cut off from the splinters of wood, the splinters were glued back to the drawer face sticking up about 1/16, and the face was reattached using glue and nails. I mentioned I was not happy at all with the repair. They tried to fix what they could semi-resolve by taking five minutes to sand down the part of the splinters sticking up, and they gave me a refund. With the dovetails disposed of, numerous nail holes now in the drawer, and glue adhering to the wood surrounding the face, there is no chance of ever restoring the antique dresser drawer even close to how it was originally.

    Livingood's Appliances & Bedding
There was an oven. I don't know if my husband was interested in it or if they were showing it to him and saying, "Here is an option," because we were looking for a more streamlined one. It was a Samsung. It turns out the thing is a fire hazard. There were lots of reviews from people with house fires and electrical fires in the back of this unit. We could not believe when we read and saw pictures and it wasn't just one person, it was a lot. They get a 'B' because they carry that and almost sold it to us.

    Taylor Upholstering Co Inc
Before we begin going through the process of looking through the many manufacturer fabric books Taylor Upholstery has on the premises, Lauri suggested we check out their scrap bolts for our two office chairs.  She told me she could give us a good deal if something suited us from those bolts.  Fortunately for us, we found an ideal fabric that suited our taste and needs. The material was perfect for our décor and enabled us to receive a significant price cut. Taylor upholstery did a great job. Lauri and Will are on top of everything...we got the chairs exactly when promised and we are extremely happy with the outcome. I would definitely recommend Taylor Upholstery.

They were okay. But I would probably try somebody new next time. They took a really long time, longer then expected. There were also some things that were part of the chairs that they didn't do. I would have liked to be asked about them. The chairs were originally tufted, and when I got it back, they weren't tufted.

We visited Livingoods several times over a month's time. Our kitchen had an unusual size for the refrigerator so our sales rep, Jake Dunn ended up coming out to the house to double check all the measurements. We bought a new refrigerator, double oven gas range, microwave, disposal and dishwasher. Jake was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. We had to order a couple of the items and they came in pretty quick. We were not ready for the appliances waiting on some other construction to be completed, they agreed to hold the items till we needed them. When I did call for delivery they were able to work us in quickly. For the record, while looking for appliances, we checked all the big box stores as well and Livingoods was substantially less expensive. All in all the best appliance buying experience. I did not feel we were being sold anything, they wanted to make sure we were happy with our choices.

Gave an original estimate of $15,000 and six weeks.
Later, I asked them to fix many items of the previous "highly regarded" contractor of the cabinet boxes. That took an extra week (38 hours+materials), for which they graciously under-charged us.
Our long time (7 yrs) "highly regarded" contractor was not the cabinet maker he (or we) thought he was. Many of the cabinet boxes were out-of-square, and more. Plus, something happened to his attitude toward us when we finally moved into the house from ATL... He kept putting us off, and after almost a year without cabinet doors, we abandoned him for the highly recommended guys at Total Fabrications -- wish we had gone there first!
As we got into it, these guys strongly suggested paying up for solid wood on the 53" doors for which we had discussed US-made plywood (don't put Chinese plywood in your house). They feared the plywood in such a tall door might someday warp; that was an up charge that they passed through at cost-only.
Dave, May, and Bob are detail fanatics -- everything has to be perfect. And it is!
They had wonderful communications. They arrived on time, and worked non-stop until mid-afternoon. We could never get them to go to lunch with us, because they brought their lunch and worked straight through. Finally, when the job was complete, they let us take them to lunch to celebrate...
We have another bookcase project for them when their schedule opens for a small project.
Thanks to Joe at Seventh Heaven Antiques for the recommendation.

She did a very professional job with an old, out-of-tune, neglected piano.  I thought the price was reasonable and she was able to do the work shortly after I first contacted her.  Would recommend her to others looking for this service.

Mr. Kelly from Restoration, Ltd. provided me with a lot of helpful
information about a large project my synagog is undertaking. I will have
several conversations with him as we proceed with the project. At this
time, I can only speak to his professionalism and his helpfulness,
    which was very good.
