    Everything was considerably higher priced than previous visits (before it became MyEyeDr). I was given an eye exam and told the prescription had changed considerably and would definitely need new lens'. Picked them up next day, saw little difference. When I got home, found the previous pair and saw virtually no difference. Strongly doubt there had been any change, just a ruse to get me to buy a new pair. Very cold atmosphere, just a job. Saw a sheet on one girl's desk covering daily "quotas". Sure made me feel like a valued customer. Later, visited the old Lord Eye Center in the Savannah mall, now another MyEyeDr. Most of the old crew was gone and so was the friendly feeling. All business and profit, but this doesn't go over very well with folks that expect a little more.

    Dr. Michael Landa with Landa and Landa Eye Care Specialists performed blepharoplasty on upper lids due to peripheral vision problem, esp. left eye.  Dr. stated he would have to do both eyes in order to have symmetrical results.  Less than 1 yr. later, time for full results, had appointment with Dr. M. Landa and it was brought to his attention right eye had the same fatty tissue and look as before surgery (have before and after pictures). Dr. M. Landa said he could correct the right eye for an additional $750. No way I should not have to pay for his mistakes. When you mess up fess up.  He commented on how little he received from insurance for the surgery.  If problems exist with what is compensated or what has to be adjusted or loss encountered then I suggested he not be a provider. This leads me to conclude services are more about money than proficiency and patient care and satisfaction. When expressing my dissatisfaction he developed an attitude.

    I obtained a  second opinion and findings were the eyes are far from symmetrical. I had been informed several times eyes are not going to be symmetrical but mine were not even close. Right eye scar shows the incision went downward from the lid extending close to the lashes and ending at the corner eye.  It should angle outward above the corner eye away from the lashes as is the left eye.  Poor judgment in determining the natural folds/creases of both lids, not defining. Skin tissue from supraorbital arch pulled down and stitched to lids above lashes obstructing folds. 

    If Dr. Landa had any doubts as to the capability in performing this surgery correctly he should have stated so prior to surgery which blatantly shows a rush, no effort, no care attitude. I requested my medical records and upon picking them up a letter was attached stating it would be better for me to seek another doctor. I mean honestly, why would I go back to him.  I wrote a letter to him stating the findings from another doctor and requested out of pocket reimbursement.  He ignored the letter so I resent another, it was also ignored.  It's a shame patients fall into these situations and have no recourse but to file complaints and spread the word.

    I really had a great experience wtih Briggs Vision Group. I have had trouble wearing contact lenses my entire life, and had always had eye exams done at one of the warehouse clubs. The doctor at Briggs Vision Group was excellent, she knew all the details about how different contact lenses are made from different substances and can affect individuals differently. They were very generous and patient in letting me try out several types of contacts until I finally found some that work. I can now wear contacts comfortable every day for 12-16 hours and not even notice I have them in. Previously after about 3-4 hours my eyes would be dry and tired. The office staff is very friendly and always calls with a reminder for the appointment, and had no problem rescheduling me at the last minute when something came up. I plan to keep going there forever, very satisfied.

    We discussed the price of the daily contact lenses. We discussed the price of the daily contact lenses and the doctor told me they would be about $400 for the year. I ordered the lenses and they charged me double. Yes, double. When I called the office they said too bad, the doctor was wrong. I was very disappointed.

    Exam was easy, he dilated my eyes which I never had experienced before but was it was an an interesting sensation. The thing I noticed the most and was rather impressed by was the fact that he didn't try to sell me a pair of glasses I didn't need. He had a great chairside manner and I will definitely recommend him to my husband and son when they are due for their appointments this year.

    Dr. Watson came highly recommended to me especially as one who could fit contacts well and wouldn't give up until he found the perfect fit. I have astigmatism and difficulty wearing contacts and he continues to work patiently with me. It's always a pleasure to see Dr. Watson. His staff is always pleasant and helpful, Dr. Watson is friendly prompt and thorough, and there is an on--site, oculist for glasses on the spot with great frame selection.
