    Christine and her cleaning crew were punctual and professional. She was very knowledgeable about removing allergens from the home and had the necessary equipment to take care of my needs.   They cleaned all of our blinds with a HEPA vacuum as well as cleaned the baseboards. The end result was a wonderfully clean home and resulted in my piece of mind.

    The previous owner's of this home were part-time residents and had allowed the home to become quite musty and mildewed in their absence.  Acting upon a friend's recommendation, I called Paul Davis for an estimate and James came out that same day.  He inspected the house with me, identifying the mildew problem areas and the sources of the musty odors.  The price for everything that was proposed was quite reasonable and the work took place a few days later.  Day one consisted of cleaning all the vents and duct work, followed by fogging of the house.  The following morning the carpeting was deep cleaned.  The home is 2700 square feet, has two AC systems, 14 vents, associated air handlers, and six rooms with carpeting. Our house now sparkles and smells fresh and clean.  The carpeting looks and smells like it's brand new and there is not a hint of mold or mildew anywhere.  We couldn't be more pleased.

    I was extremely unhappy with the services provided by Island Cleaning Services and would never recommend them to anyone.  A team of 6 people showed up to do the Deep Cleaning we had discussed.  Only 1 person could speak any english so communicated details with the team that was doing the cleaning was impossible unless I went and found the only one that could understand me.  After being at my house for a few hours I was told that one of the girls had accidentally broken the ceiling fan in our MBR (something we use daily).  I wasn't happy about it, but I understand accidents do happen and when Margaret showed up later to see how her team did she assured me that they would fix the bracket piece broken off the fan.  At that time she would only offer to discount the cost of the Deep Cleaning by $50 (I should have kept more), even though I told her at that time the fan cost more than $200.  Long story short it took me 3 months of research, numerous phone calls in search of this piece and 3 trips back to Home Depot to try and find a replacement piece.  It was not to be found and the fan had been discontinued.  Margaret finally returned my call to say that she would pay for a new fan.  After I had to return to Home Depot again and picked out a new and cheeper fan. It took 4 more phone calls to finally get them to send someone out to physically replace the broken fan.  At that time I gave her guys my receipt and had expected Margaret to reimburse me as she had said she would.  After my initiating 2 more phone calls to Margaret to see if she had received the receipt she said that the girl had brought the money by my house, but no one was home so she didn't leave it (I don't believe her).  I called Margaret again and again she said they would bring the money by (no one ever did).  I was starting to feel like I was  harassing them to make it right.  At this point it's been 5 months ago, and of course I have yet to be reimbursed for them breaking my fan.  I truly believe she's trying to make this poor girl pay for it herself, when actually it's Margarets responsibility and it was her service that I hired.  
    In addition to this happening her team also ruined an expensive silk rug in our bathroom.  It is a dark color rug and when they stepped out of the shower stall with clorox on their shoes it left bleached out shoe prints all over the rug.  I showed this to Margaret when she came to see how they did, but she never made any offer to replace the rug.  Rather, she took pictures of the rug to use as an example to show her employees at her next training session, as something not to do again in the future.  Really, what about my rug?  It's ruined too. 
    The Deep Cleaning that I paid for was pretty good, I can't deny.  I did find that whoever did the cleaning in the refrigerator only wiped the outer edges of the shelves, and if you pulled out any food items it was still dirty.  Ice cubes spilled over from the ice maker were still there, so Im pretty sure they didn't touched inside the freezer.  
    I had considered giving them another chance, but the fact that I have had to make all the attempts to take care of the fan issue and have now experience how unprofessional Margaret Mabrey has treated me, leave me here now on Angies List to let others know to beware of Island Cleaning Service.  I am still considering filing a claim in Small Claims Court just to get what is owed me after hiring this company.

    The cleaning crew came on time and proceeded to work immediately. My husband and I left so we would not be in the way of their progress. Here are the negatives: When we returned, I went through the rooms they said they cleaned only to find areas missed, the window ceils, top of door frames, baseboards and/or windows and mini blinds. When I inquired if they had cleaned the areas, I was told yes they cleaned what I was questioning. So when the foreman came back, I showed him the areas that were not cleaned and he tried made it right. After the team left, I went through the rest of the resident only to find and numerous items they did not clean as stated on the walk through. The door frames were not cleaned in all rooms, the toilet and shower in the master bath were not cleaned nor was the floor, I think they just wiped down the counter vacuumed the floor and shook the mats and were done. The floor in the dinning and living room does even look like it was mopped, still dirt spots the floor. The baseboards on the dining area was not wiped down, nor were the mini blinds, or windows. The young lady mopping the floor went around objects such as the dog's food dish instead of moving and mopping under it. The kitchen still the same spill that was there when we left, (my husband dripped coffee on the way out the door (Still there)) as well as other spills, the kitchen cabinet handles are still dirty and all the floors are streaked from where the young lady did not pay attention to how much solution she was using on her mop. The positivies: they showed up on time, were friendly and seemed to be happy people.
    Maybe my standards are too high??? Just saying
