  • Salar and his team did a fantastic job finishing our basement. They had the best price of the 3 quality contractors who bid for the job. Salar is a great communicator - very responsive & customer service oriented. Very good flexibility on any small changes that came up, they always had a “no problem / can do” attitude. His crews were very respectful of our household schedule and always cleaned up well each day. They had great recommendations on materials & vendors/design resources. The quality of workmanship was excellent and we are highly satisfied customers. Highly recommend.

  • I cannot say enough about Salar and his crew. They have honestly become like family. They have been working on my extensive renovations since May. The project got extended past the estimated date of completion as we had a number of weather delays and things beyond Salar’s control. I actually do not know how the cost of the projects compares to other companies because as soon as I met and talked with Salar I hired him. The subcontractors have worked for Salar many times. We had a lockbox on the basement door for the crews to come and go. I had heard horror stories of having construction crews constantly coming and going and the intrusiveness of it. My experience was the exact opposite. Other than the expected noise of construction I never felt intruded upon or bothered. All the crews cleaned up every day and their work was excellent. I liked the fact that BCM is a family company. Salar was always reachable and answered messages quickly. He was on site regularly to assess progress and quality. I now have an incredible new deck, screened porch and a finished basement. I should add that Salar dealt with my very difficult HOA, and also put sod down at his own expense when one of the machines used for constructing the porch caused a little damage to my neighbor’s grass. I really have no complaints and only the best things to say about my experience.

  • Every phase of the project was meticulous, from the electrical configuration, plumbing, recessed lighting, slow-close drawers/cabinets, mirror placement, French doors opening into the Master bedroom, etc. The Master bathroom was perfect. I strongly recommend Bill Johnson Remodeling for any and all renovation needs. His work is second to none. I highly recommend Bill Johnson Remodeling for any size project or renovation. You will especially appreciate his practical advice and superb attention to detail.

  • Wonderfully! Not only could I not have been happier with their initial work but they were very responsive for any future needs and/or changes we requested. In addition, they worked us in when we had a chimney leak years later for a small job just to help us out! Both Brian and Stacey are extremely professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy and wonderful to work with! We would gladly use them again and again!

  • What a fantastic experience! I can't say enough great things about Paul English and English Builders Inc. He is a very reliable and trustworthy contractor and his attention detail was refreshing. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Claire

  • We called a number of different companies when we were looking to remodel the home we had lived in for 15 years. There were a number of issues that needed addressing, and we wanted to make it look nice as possible in order to rent it out, without breaking our limited budget. Antonio from Avatar Contractor Group listened to everything we wanted to do, and maintained constant lines of communication throughout the engagement. He helped organize all our ideas and itemized them at very reasonable rates in his proposal. Then he helped us pick the projects that would have the most impact towards our goal. The work began as soon as he got his deposit and was executed without delay. In order to cut costs, Antonio allowed me to purchase some specific items I wanted installed, and I had difficulty keeping up with the quick pace of his crew. With only a few minor exceptions, the work was above-average in quality. Where we did find issues, Antonio made sure they were immediately and properly addressed. He made me feel like my money would not be accepted until I was completely satisfied, which is a rare find these days. Overall I am very satisfied with Avatar Contractor Group.

  • They did not do a great job, not the best.  They made it a whole living area. Nothing stood out. It took longer than they said and it cot cost more than they estimated. Some of the work a little sub par. I can't even get them to repair some stuff and it has been three years.

  • Green Basements & Remodeling recently designed and installed a full kitchen for our in-law basement suite.  The process, from start to finish, was great!  The estimate, the designers, the installers/technicians, the administrative staff, and our project manager David Walker were all easy and pleasant to work with.  Mr. David Walker did an amazing job throughout the entire process and was a valuable resource during the entire project.  He deserves the highest recommendation and commendation for his great efforts and outstanding service.  Ask for project manager David Walker specifically when you use Green for your remodel.  The final product is stunning; I would use Green again!

  • As with any project this size, you want to obtain at least three (3) bids.  I chose all Angie's providers and obtained three estimates. All of the companies were reputable and well-reviewed.  However, there was something I immediately liked about Creative Basements. Not the biggest player in the business, but excellent reviews for their hands-on attention to detail.  In addition, I was not trying to create the Taj Mahal of basements, I just wanted to maximize the unfinished basement space and create a quality and modern living area.  In the end, choosing Creative Basements was the right decision. Creative Basements is a father and son operation.  Bob Richards and his son Jason participate in the process from start to finish.  Not only was their bid on my basement $20,000 - $25,000 less then the other bids I obtained, but their work ethic and attention to detail is second to none.  Not only that, but they are a heck of a lot of fun to work with; my regular interactions with both Jason and his father were both spirited and fun.  They were always available for suggestions and amendments to the job. They were able to offer excellent suggestions on creative issues where I had drawn a blank.  They drew up a first class set of blueprints for the work that were easy to read and follow.  The quality of the work and the professionals they dispatched for each part of the process was beyond reproach. I am no novice to construction work and watched with great interest as framers, plumbers, electricians and others did their work on my basement.  They were professionals with an eye to detail and perfection.  After each part of the process, Jason and his father would review the work to ensure that it met with their standards and that I was satisfied.  I was working within a budget and they were right on the mark.  In the end, they took an unfinished basement space and, with design thoughts from my wife and I, and a few suggestions of their own, created a magnificent, modern finished basement.  I could not be more satisfied and pleased with the work done by Creative Basements.  If you are thinking about finishing a basement, do yourself a favor and contact these guys.  Bob and Jason make the entire experience easy and fun with a few laughs along the way.

  • With the exception of the first meeting with them it was a horrendous experience. I cannot believe they could possibly get rated anything higher then a C at best. We had them come in to take down paneling in our living room, and replace the ceiling sheet rock and replace the moldings and paint and stain. The project was supposed to take two to three weeks. After the first meeting we never saw the guy who said he was going to be managing our project and some other guy came in. He was completely unaware of all the conversations and details my husband had with the first guy nor were we told the other guy was off our project. This guy was new, and didn't really manage the workers. There was no supervisor on premise, so my husband had to manage the entire project. The demolition went fine but then they just didn't show up for days in between steps, and my husband had to constantly chase them to see when they were coming. They showed up at 10 or 11 am and never stayed past 3 or 4pm and they usually only spent 3 -4 hours at a time at the house. They tried to convince us to reuse the broken and destroyed moldings, which we refused. Then they put up the sheet rock and if my husband weren't there to supervise they would have put up the ceiling with a huge uneven hump in it. He made them stop and fix the issue and redo the ceiling. Then the spackling was completed and they painted which further revealed all of the really bad holes and rough patches so we made them have the spackle guy come back and fix all the holes and it had to be repainted. Once the moldings started going up we asked them to stain them first and they refused saying that isn't how they do it, and they never conditioned the wood. The result, stain is all over my wood floor and not fixable. In addition, because they didn't sand or condition the wood it is really rough and scratchy and the stain isn't even but blotchy compared to the rest of rather house. They also damaged our wood floor and had to have someone do a repair which now stands out and doesn't match the rest of the floor. The 2-3 week project took 8 weeks for work we felt wasn't good enough. In addition, we had beams that were supposed to be replaced but they ruined them when they took them down and then wanted us to pay an additional $2,000 to put up new ones. We refused and still don't have our beams back in the room. The project was estimated to cost $5,000 and with all of their mess ups they ended up charging us $6,500. Some of the extra cost was justified but they were over priced to begin with. Lastly, after we paid them and put our furniture back into the room, we realized they didn't cut out the outlet for the cable, they just covered it up. I refused to allow them back in my house so my husband fixed it. Anyone who uses this company should expect to pay over market prices for what we considered subpar work, with poor communication. The room looks ok after all of this but we were truly unhappy.
