  • The emergency room is clean and very efficient. They are very quick; there is not an awful lot of waiting. I had to go to the emergency room of another hospital downtown and I had to sit there for three hours before somebody came to see me. However, North Fulton is very good from that perspective and the hospital is clean. The staff is very good. I felt well taken care of there. The effectiveness of the treatment I got there was good. For critical problems or if one needs them quick, when one has a problem, I think they are excellent from that standpoint.

  • While the care she received was good, our experience with billing has been frustrating. We received a bill for over $1100. They had apparently neglected to contact our insurance company, or so it seemed. We sent back the bill with the updated insurance information written on it. The next month we received another bill for the same amount. We sent that back as well, and sent the same updated insurance information on that bill. The next month we received yet another bill with no adjustments made. We called North Fulton, and the billing representative proceeded to argue with us that the bill had already been sent to the insurance carrier. We contacted our insurance provider and they stated that they did not receive any claims. We then called North Fulton back and asked them to fax the information to our insurance carrier, and the representative then continued to rudely argue that they had already done so. Finally we managed to convince them to reluctantly resubmit the claim. We also submitted a complaint to the BBB to seek help in dealing with the hospital. In our transcript with the BBB, we received a promise from the hospital that they would notify us in writing of any liability. Our insurance carrier contacted us several weeks later and informed us that they had finally received the claim, but it was sent to the wrong place, and that North Fulton was again at fault for not following the procedure for filing claims.

    About 6 months later we received a collection notice from a third party company stating that we owed some $300 to North Fulton. We have never received any further direct contact from North Fulton since that rude phone call.

  • I was very impressed with all of the staff at the North Fulton Hospital where the colonoscopy was performed. The anesthesiologist, nurse and Dr. Erish was just great and I was impressed with their security and overview that they performed. I haven’t received that type of service at any other hospital. The staff just has a way to just put you at ease from the front desk to the Doctors who performed the procedure.
