    Jayesh Naik MD
Postpartum Depression and anxiety is so hard to deal with after giving birth. The medicine he chose worked great but it was his bedside manner and how I felt insulted when he asked me why I was so stressed out being a new mom at home with a new baby. He said, "what can you possibly be so stressed about. What do you DO all day anyway?!" That's what made me decide to leave. At that point I didn't feel as if he cared to listen or even be concerned with the reason I was there seeking medication.

    Judy S Greenberg Counseling Services
I have seen Judy Greenberg for about 20 sessions and she helped me tremendously. She identifies and clarifies what needs work and helps you do that work. If I need counselling again, she will be the person I go to.

    Northwest Behavioral Medicine
Northwest Behavioral Medicine uses Clinical Nurse Specialists to assist their Phychiatrist. I have been seeing Karen Greenwood for about a year and have been very impressed with the help she has been able to give me with depression. In the beginning she goes through a lot of questions to learn about you and the extent of your issues to come up with appropriate medicinal treatments. She asked me to also go to voice therapy to complement the medications, which has also been great. I am on Medicare, and they actually have covered services, including therapists that accept medicare. At each appointment we went through the treatment protocal and adjusted the medication treatments as needed until we found a good fit. I now see her only every 3 months to obtain new scripts. She does not provide talk therapy, which she leaves to the Phychologists; she mainly works with medication protocols. She works with all aspects of mental illness, except she specifically does not treat drug and acholol treatment. There may be someone else in the practice that treats those conditions, I just know that she doesn't.
Nurse Greenwood has been wonderful for me. She has really made a huge difference in my life, and has a great understanding of the available depression and anxiety medications and how different combinations work together. I can't recommend her enough. However, the one problem is that she is only in the Roswell office one day a week which does cause some challanges. For example, if you need here to review or sign something, you have to wait until Wednesday to see her. A really good solution to this problem is to live in Marietta, where she is at the office there four days a week.
The office staff is helpful, as long as you are patient with them. Mostly this has been due to my practionier's schedule. My only negative would be with the billing staff. They have had a problem sending claims to my secondary provider and charged me several times before they figured it out, and they once insisted I missed an appointment and was 90 days behind on paying a missed appointment fee. Between a copy of a signed prescription written on that day and input from Karen telling them that she had notes from our meeting, we were able to fixed the problem.
One important thing to note is they do offer cash discounts for their patients who do not have insurance. There are several Physhologists that work with this office. I see one, and have met a few of the others. I would recommend them.
The NBM office is also always conducting trials with different medications provided for free for those that would like to try that. And, I have noticed that they work with a number of young people with ADD and similiar disorders. I would recommend Northwest Behavioral Medicine.

    Cumberland Psychiatric Group
It is always a great experience here. The wait time is normal and the seating is comfortable and the doctors genuinely care about the patients. They always had a good memory of how your life has been and what condition you may be facing. They provide more than just what is expected and make the place exceptional.

Any doctor in this office would be great. They know their specialty and they are on the cutting edge of all the treatments. They are down to earth and know how to talk to patients. They spend time with patients. It's not hard to make an appointment and they make every effort to get me in. The staff is all very professional. I've never had any problems with the billing.

    Futrell, Dr. Peter R.
He is slow in making a diagnosis. It felt like you are presenting the options to them and I am assuming it is the medical liability side of it. It is almost like we were doing our own diagnosis and we were just waiting for the doctor to say that is what it is. I will continue to take my mother there but I wouldn't go there.

    Northwest Behavioral Medicine
My, my... where to start. I really really tried to make it work at this office because changing therapists / doctors is a real pain. First of all the front office staff. To say they could care less would be an understatement. Most of the time they act as if they are doing you a favor by helping you make an appointment etc. Once you get past that joyous experience there are the doctors. To be fair mine was not all that bad but the system works against them as well as the clients. I understand that a business might need to charge a client who misses an appointment but I didn't even have an appointment on the day they charged me for! The front office staff (the ones who care so much) told me earlier in the month that they had canceled that one and made another for the next month. How is that my fault? The I get a bill for $85!! Are you kidding me?? The final straw is if you need medicine before your appointment time. I couldn't get a new appointment (after the fiasco with the "missed" appointment) for two weeks - no surprise there. The bad news is that my meds ran out in three days. A normal office would (and others have in the past) call in a few pills or an entire prescription to hold you until your appointment. NOT Northwest Behavioral Medicine! If a doctor does call in a prescription for you - and it's totally up to their discretion - they charge you $20 per script as a penalty. That's more than my copay!! Looking back I saw the writing on the wall, the red flags, etc and I chose to keep giving the benefit of the doubt. Lesson learned. Do yourself a favor and KEEP AWAY FROM NWBM!

    Jayesh Naik MD
Dr. Naik takes the time to listen, I never feel rushed. He evaluates and changes my treatment as needed. Typically I'll schedule an appointment every 3-4 months; however, if my mood state changes I can easily make an appointment and usually be seen right away.

They have a warm and inviting environment and are very professional. The people I've referred have received the help they've needed or were pointed to beneficial resources when necessary.
