Chimney Sweeping reviews in Roswell

My first appointment, scheduled three weeks in advance, ended with a no-show by the technician. When I called to reschedule, they responded appropriately with apologies and an immediate second appointment, which took place as scheduled and went extremely well. I observed the inspection and cleaning, which included the chimney cap, wood-stove chamber, and chimney pipe. These guys did a thorough, first-rate job. I've already set my calendar to schedule them earlier next year.

Bad. Not impressed and would not recommend. My husband made the mistake of buying a groupon from this company for two chimney inspections and cleaning services. Two people arrived, one who did the inspection and the other for sales/owner. They inspector was knowledgeable enough abut the chimneys, but only did a visual interior inspection of the fireplaces, no exterior inspection of of the external parts of the chimney. They only cleaned one fireplace, leaving my second uncleaned (even though it had burnt wood in it, but I guess it wasn't dirty enough for a full cleaning because it was only a lightly used fireplace). They seemed rushed from the beginning to get in/get out and were more interested in selling me gas logs than conducting a thorough inspection and cleaning. The inspector neglected to put down a drop cloth when cleaning the fireplace, leaving my white painted brick covered in soot, which he tried to then clean with dry paper towels (only making it worse and spreading the soot) and didn't have the proper cleaning solution to take it off (see pic of how it was left). Following the service, I asked for a quote for white birch logs and fyre glass plus labor installation and a quote for glass doors. They were unable to provide me with a written quote for anything other than labor for installation ($129/fireplace) and verbally quoted me white birch logs at $800 (nearly $250 more than where you can get anywhere else). When I continued to email the owner, Rueben, requesting a written quote for the entire job, including the doors, he could never provide it and said they would need to come back out and measure for the glass doors (to which I reminded him they already measured when they were here and that was the quote I asked for!). Very unprofessional. To the inspector's credit, he did offer to personally paint my fireplace if we elected them for the installation, since it clearly needed repainted following their visit. When Rueben finally followed up a few weeks later re my reminder they already measured each fireplace, he indicated that the inspector "was no longer with the company." By that time, however, we had already selected another, more professional and less expensive, company. (Example - $90 for two inspections/cleaning and they would get on the roof and do a full exterior inspection!!) Bottom line - this company is ill prepared to provide the services they advertise and don't have the capability of giving clients written estimates for what is requested or repairing the damage they caused. In light of the inspector no longer being with the company, I asked Reuben for $25 credit to repaint the fireplace. He said he would mail me a $25 check for the repainting of the fireplace. To-date, not received. I was left with a good inspection of the fireplaces (b/c I do think the inspector was very knowledgable) but two dirty fireplaces, one that I have to pay now to repaint and both which I had to repay another company to do what they could not. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Very professional and communicative. Set expectations properly and provided accurate up-front pricing for the sweep and the custom cap that was needed. Cap was fabricated and installed a week later. Answered all questions in a polite and courteous manner. Would highly recommend.

Bryan covered the area around the fireplace to keep it clean, cleaned out the chimney, flu and box and then cleaned up all the debris that was generated. He then inspected the chimney from the roof to make sure there were no problems from above the fire box. He was very thorough, pleasant and professional. I will be reusing his services in the future and recommending him to others.

They were very knowledgeable regarding fireplaces and chimneys. I learned that the cost to have the fireplaces redone to burn wood vs. gas was more than I was willing to pay. They could have oversold me, but they did not. I appreciate their professionalism and their expertise. If I ever did decide to put in new gas firebox, these are the guys I would call.

Excellent customer service from start to finish!  We just had Sweepy Hollow come out for a total fireplace renovation - from old brass and marble to stunning stone and reclaimed wood. Everything was done exactly when Mike said it would be done - very professional work and my fireplace now looks amazing!  Highly recommend Sweepy Hollow!

Spent an hour with me, teaching me about my chimney and fireplace. Fully inspected it inside and out, and told me it didn't need cleaning. No charge for the visit. Completely professional, knowledgeable, very easy to work with.

They were very punctual and willing to work with us on scheduling.  They did a great job of cleaning and inspecting the chimney and gave us some recommendations on a few things we needed to look out for in the next few years.  Great service!

We have been unable to use the gas feed in our fireplace since we purchased our home. Ed and Lance inspected the gas lines first, one of which turned out to be rusted. They fully explained what the problem was with our fireplace. They laid a tarp down so when they took out the bricks it wouldn't damage our wood floors. They replaced the bad line and old valve and re-bricked the hearth. Very thorough and clean job and reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend them.

Tom was very professional. He look at the fireplace on the porch and said that it was OK and could wait a while before it needed cleaning.   He inspected the main fireplace and cleaned the chimney. He commented on the quality of the chimney components and said that all was fine. Very good experience.
