Window Replacement reviews in Richmond Hill

  • Started our good, then he-contractor-quit coming. He took our money. We honored the contract, he did not. He gives excuses to not come by...he is in the hospital, the plumber had a death in the family, he had to go to court with his daughter. He admitted to us he spent the money we gave him for roofing, $8000, on something other than us. Contract signed March 5, 2018. Our $8000.00 roof is a tarp on our dormer. Work that was done is good. There are holes in floor for plumbing by no fixtures. He dropped off some flooring and a sink this week and said he would come back, but did not. My husband talks to him everyday and he promises to come, but he is a liar.

  • Repair was satisfactory. Bill for services was not. They charge $125/hour labor.  They were there for 55 minutes, but charged for 2 hours. Materials supplied were a 2ft.X 2ft. piece of scrap metal roofing and a piece of a plastic tarp. Material charge for that was $50.  So $300 for a temporary cover over a skylight. So you decide.

  • I was impressed with Vincent and his crew. They did a thorough job. All crew members were courteous and attentive. They didn't seem to mind my overly intense curiosity about how to seal the roof. Vincent did a good job installing a cricket where I needed to improve water flow and reduce leaf accumulation. This was performed with no notice. I exchanged cell phone numbers with him and didn't mind contacting me when concerns arose. The skylights look amazing and so does the whole roof. I am very pleased.

  • Our experience with RNR was more than excellent.  Rick gave us a written estimate within a few days and he stuck to it,  he did not go over budget.  He listened to what we wanted and he ordered the doors and windows for us.  He found siding that  matched the existing siding.

Every time we called Rick with a question he answered the phone.  I don't think I ever had to leave a voice message.

He worked with a very difficult city zoning office and handled all the permits for us.

When there was a delay due to winter weather, he called or texted me.  He never left us hanging, wondering what was happening.

His workers were polite, quiet, and cleaned up after themselves.  My husband works nights and sleeps days and they were very considerate of this.

The quality of work is very good.  I will positively use this company again.

  • Very professional, showed up on time and provided an excellent estimate and description of services and products. We went with another company due to financing constraints, but would recommend them.

  • Not bad. Never got back to us on the window pricing- thought he had a lead on the m but never heard back after callung about it. The work done wasnt atrocious, but his crew could not get the damaged areas back to their original shape. Price was more than fair. Tony frequently called when/if he and his crew would be late, but usually were not.

  • It went great. The work scope expand a bit, as expected, when they pulled the door molding out, there additional rot found underneath. Alex didn't beat me up on the additional work and was quite reasonable on the extra cost. Alex and Andy care about the work they do and recognize the results are a reflection on them.

  • Window Man and More was working a job in Hilton Head that was delayed by summer afternoon rainstorms and rain from Hurricane Issac. Due to these delays, I removed the existing plastic and plexiglass sheeting and lattice work from the pergola and pressure washed it. This work was supposed to have been performed by Window Man and More. In return for my work we negotiated a seemless, one-peice gutter would be installed on the rear of the house by the pergola for no additional charge. Kip Lee, the owner, failed to put the gutter work in the original signed contract. We exchanged e-mails and phone calls and did not re-write or re-sign another contract.
The installer, who claimed he had 20 + years experience failed to install a shim on the pergola, as was clearly stated in the contract. He admitted he made a mistake and apologized and corrected his mistake. He blamed work pressure, poor instructions, and a nagging cell phone. He installed the gutter directly to the facia of the house without gutter brackets. He also cut a very small hole in the gutter where the downspout attaches. The hole is so small it is easily clogged by one or two leaves. He also misdrilled several screws when he screwed the patio cover to the pergola, resulting in several gouges to the freshly painted wood and an unneed hole in the patio cover. I would rate his work C+. He made the job much harder than it need to be by failing to install the shim before he installed the patio cover. I am not sure if this was a mistake, or if he was trying to cut corners and hoped I would not notice his omission of the shim. I have experience building residential homes and storage buildings, so I could tell that the required shim was missing. I doubt if an average home owner could detect that the shim was not installed, until the first rainstorm when the water would not drain off the patio cover.
One week after the installation and after several summer rainstorms, there is rain water and condensation trapped inside the patio cover panels on the lowest end that the water drains off of. Apparently it is not properly sealed to keep water and moisture out. Also there is a dead lizard trapped inside one of the panels. I e-mailed the company asking that these discrepancies be repaired.
