  • AWFUL company/Dishonest. We had a small fenced in yard and worried a pool would not work. Andy came out and said they would remove the trees and the pool would fit fine. Bobby told us the hole would be dug, dump trucks would remove the dirt and the pool would be put in the same day. The guy that came to dig the hole told us he couldn’t remove the tree. We told Bobby we would not accept delivery of the pool. We talked to Tallman (manufacture) to cancel the pool. They vouched for him and he volunteered to store the pool in another location. When they dug the hole NO dump trucks arrived. We had piles of dirt in the yard, against our house and the tree was rotting in the yard for weeks. The pool was placed in the ground, the dirt was backfilled and the pool filled with water. We called the county about our water bill to let them know we filled a pool. They told us they didn’t have a permit on file. When the crew finally showed up after not working for 6 days they removed the dirt. Well they did not remove ALL of the dirt but spread the rest over areas of the grass they had not already killed. Now we have to pay for new sod. His response “landscaping is not in the contract”. Well neither was you spreading dirt across our backyard! Tallman told him to call us and make it right, he didn’t! They laid the concrete decking and Bobby sent Andy to pick up a check even though the spray decking was incomplete. I called Tallman back to request assistance to get our pool equipment installed. I called Andy to see when he would put it in he asked if it had been delivered. When I said no, his response, “I only install it, let me know when it’s there.” The water sat stagnant in our pool for 3 weeks. When it was done, I asked again about the permit. He IGNORED me. He NEVER applied for the permit until I refused payment. NIGHTMARE experience. What was supposed to be a few weeks took 10 weeks from start to permit completion. He was not honest and avoided communication with us repeatedly. Bobby should take as much interest in his work as he does with collecting the checks. He is an absentee owner who does not care about his customers. The company used to be in Savannah at a listed address of 5669 Ogeechee Rd. Our contract states 180 Post Lane in Inman, SC. There is a second phone number also on our contract that comes back to Blue Sky Pools in Greenville, SC.

  • Save your money and the headache and attend Pride Pools FREE pool school. They are extremely helpful, informative and polite while doing so. Perfect Pools charged us for visits that the service provider did not show. We were charged for parts and repairs for equipment that Perfect Pools employees broke. The owner did come twice when I called about a problem with the pool though she was not our regular service provider. She did not charge us for these visits. I was made aware, by our regular service provider, that she could charge me because she was not our regular pool girl. The information that you can only call your and quot;pool girland quot; with problems or you could be charged was not in our contract. Once made aware, I did not contact the owner again. After all of this we decided to cancel our services and attended pool school and now care for it ourselves. We gave our 30 day notice, per our contract, for May. In May there was only 1 visit to our pool but received a bill for 2. I corrected the invoice and paid my bill 2 days early. Today I received a call from the owner informing me that they had been to my home twice. When I disputed she stated the employee had spoken with my son and he brought our dogs inside so she could clean our pool. I asked my son, while on the phone with the owner, and he said that he had not spoken with the employee or made sure the dogs were inside. The owner then inquired how did I know she had not been in the yard. I informed her that my gates are both padlocked and the employee knew we had 2 large German Shepherds and that she had to call to insure the gates were open and the dogs in the house. She then told me that the employee could have jumped our fence because she, the owner, had jumped our fence before. I told her that if anyone jumped my fence with the Beware Of Dog signs and was bitten that it was on them not me. Then she started yelling at me that I thought I knew so much about pools. I disconnected the call. I decided to pay the $40, though the visit did not happen, so it could not be said I did not pay my bill. On my way to her office she called back to inform me that per her employee they had a computer log of the phone call and according to her attorney that was all the proof they needed to take me to court for $40. I told her that I was on my way to her office to pay her. She continued on by saying that according to her employee that when she serviced our pool I would come out and talk to her like we were friends and and quot;pump her for informationand quot;. I considered it being nice and I have the right to ask any question I want about my pool and the services you are performing that we are paying for. I showed up at her office, threw the money on the counter and told her and quot;First of all, don't either of you ever imply again that my son is a liarand quot;. She yelled at me, in front of another customer and quot;We didn't imply anything like thatand quot;. Maybe it's just me but that is what I inferred. I then informed her to never contact me again. She then yelled at me, again in front of another customer, and quot;Just get your fat a** out of hereand quot;. FYI, I'm not fat. I weigh 145lbs. Well, needless to say, it spiraled down hill from there. I left with my bill now paid in full, a complete lack of respect for this business owner and an over abundance of gratitude that my business with them was officially done forever. I came home and checked my caller ID for the supposed phone call from our service provider. She did, in fact, call on 5/30/14 at 8:40 am. She did not, however, speak with my husband, myself and sure as heck not my son, a teenager on summer break at that time sleeping every day until noon. Neither did she leave a message. She did not come by and clean our pool and I know this because we were in it that day. My husband cleaned our pool that morning.
    Never, never, never again will I do business with them. If I cannot handle it, I will pay someone to come from Hilton Head if I have to just to avoid using Perfect Pools ever again.

  • The guy couldn't provide us with his general insurance to cover his performance. He lied about everything about himself and took our money when it was time to go for financing and we couldn't get it right away because we'd just bought the house. So, he was kind of a jerk and he never gave us back our money. We eventually went to court and the house is in lien.

  • The home we live in is a rental, it has a soft sided hot tub that the previous tenants had not taken care of. My husband and I know nothing about them and had questions as to how to even know if it is working properly. They answered all of our questions and even tried to hunt down a lid for the tub (the model is no longer made).Very nice group of people. We had two or three people giving us advise on how to clean and get the tub in working order.

  • After going against my own gut feeling and going with a pool company I had been dealing with, we went with my husband's choice instead. Already regretting the decision. We needed a pool liner replaced and I interviewed 3 companies. My husband felt that Max from Champion Pools knew his stuff and felt confident that he would do a good job. We were told that the pool liner could take about 2 weeks to come in after it was ordered. After waiting 5 weeks, he finally came and started work on our pool. What we were told would be a one day job, turned into three, and the process was nothing like the plan he had explained to my husband. I didn't so much care about the time involved in getting it done as long as it was done right. He finished the pool, left all the trash from the job outside the yard fence and was gone. I tried to turn on the Polaris to clean the pool and water began shooting out from behind the gasket and in turn behind the wall of the pool. I'm not a mechanic or pool specialist, but I don't think that's good. I was told by my pool maintenance man that Champion Pools has had many complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau (shame on me for not checking there first) and he'd never come back out to repair any problems. Yep, he was right. Now we're into June with 2 small children begging every day to get into the pool. Still waiting to hear from Max!
