APrecision Overhead Garage Door ServiceI don't think there were additional costs.They had to come back a second time because the door didn't work. It started getting horrifically worse. So, I had to call them back. So, they came back, and they took care of it. The other person who came was very helpful, and he took care of the situation. That will be probably using going forward. It was fixed, the problem was addressed and they fixed it. I was happy with that.The original door is an old door; it's manual it's not an automatic.So, I explained to them that it was very tight to pull up manually, and I demonstrated. They said fine, I think we can handle this. He worked so well. I think he was there for an hour. I left my son to sign the paperwork. I came back I checked the door it looked fine. I would say within a week and the second week it started to get stuck it was very difficult to open again. It was very progressive. I could barely open the garage door. So, I called them back and explained what happened and they said: "Okay, we'll send somebody out." I mean I didn't want to get into another problem. They were very accommodating. The second technician that came out, he took care of it great, I was very pleased. He gave me other options he gave me his card. He said listen if you want to keep this garage door there's a few things you can tweak to make it better, going forward I'll be happy to come back. So, that was good. In other words, the second visit wiped out the first visit that didn't go that well because for some reason something didn't work well on that door. The quality of work was very good. Their responsiveness was excellent. They were very punctual, not a problem. They were very professional.- jose e.

APrecision Garage Door ServiceThe serviceman technician was polite and helpful. He diagnosed the problem and provided us with several options. We chose the option that best suited us and he installed a new belt assembly and lubricated the door and all the points in the system as well as checking the electric connections and replacing a light. ABaker Door CompanyWe had a metal garage door from Costco that was installed by one of their contractors. The The system is about 5 years old. Our door was getting stuck up on very hot days and seemed to be closing incompletely. The Baker guy found that a reinforcing bar was not installed at the top panel as is needed for doors with automatic openers. Some of the wires in the opener were also loose and losing electrical contact. There was a folding bend in the top panel panel at the center that had developed because of the lack the reinforcement. He straightened out the bent panel almost completely, attached a reinforcing bar and fixed the wiring. Everything is working perfectly.- Christy & Matt D.

AHilton Head Garage DoorsCalled another company on Angie's List with 49 "A's" and a Superior Service rating. Had to talk to four different staff to finally get an appointment. Very dissatisfied. Called Tyler at Hilton Head Garage Door and got immediate, helpful advice before anyone even came out...which was the next day. Serviced by Mike, who did a stellar job and has an awesome work ethic. To register the door opener he even circled the website on the front of the manual, circled the model number, added the serial number, and added the "S.O. number." I've never had that kind of service. To register a product the buyer is almost always on their own. Awesome company!- Don B.

APADGETT GARAGE DOORSI was thoroughly impressed with the way Padgett handled our problem. It didn't matter that we were out of town and that they didn't know us as anything but strangers. We plan on replacing the door in a few months and we were so pleased that we won't call anyone else. The only reason I marked quality as N/A is that we won't actually use the door for another three weeks, but am assuming it will be fine based on the level and quality of service they gave us. I can't say enough positive things about Guy Padgett and his son Casey.- Jack D.

AHilton Head Garage DoorsThis was my first use of Angies list. I was very pleased with the quality and timeliness of Tyler and his crew. They answered my problem immediately and were prompt and on time when they did the work. I was a little shocked at the cost but I thought it was just my Genie door opener. It was more and when Tyler explained what it was I understood the cost of $300 was right....and fair. I would highly recommend them to anyone. FI thought that it was great until the next morning. I went to work and it was not working. They had to come back out. They did how ever I was not pleased because they didn't do it right the first time. I also reached out to discuss my concerns with a manager. No one has contacted me yet. I don't feel good about them.
