    For now, my sight is okay.  I am impressed with Dr. Farr's attention to detail, his professionalism, knowledge, and concern.  Likewise, his staff shares these attributes.  The wait was reasonable.  I will continue to see him for all my ophthalmic concerns and regular visits.

    I saw Dr. Parker in the Richmond Hill office. He wanted to try me in a traditional soft lens before we went to the hybrid. The first set of lenses weren't quite right, so now waiting for a second. I appreciate Dr. Parker's willingness to try and find a lens that I can wear as opposed not even trying as other eye doctors have in the past.

    Boland, Dr. Ryan F.
    Dr. Boland is also excellent, but he doesn't do lasik. Dr. Donnelly joined his practice recently to do lasik. I believe he was former military, but I don't remember which branch. Dr. Boland is hard of hearing, and does need you to speak up and face him directly when speaking. Don't let this keep you away from this practice! I have worn glasses/contacts for more than 50 years, and this practice is pretty much the best I've seen. The only thing I would wish was different is the timeframe. Each appointment I've had with them has taken a lot longer than I expected, but they are worth the wait---you just need to know the appointment will take a while. Perhaps making your appointment early morning would help.

    I was expecting to see the doctor and have a quick examination of my eye to determine if there were any on-going issues.  Surprised when they gave me a full eye exam, even though I had one earlier in the year.  They apparently do this routinely to make sure nothing has changed with my vision.  I then met with the doctor who was very thorough and had my eyes dilated then examined.  He explained his findings and took time to answer my questions.

    He performed the surgery (PRK) late September 2011 and I had follow up appointments with him once a week for the first 8 weeks, then once every month since then. PRK has an expected healing time of 3 months, and it took almost every bit of 3 months for me to see 100% without glasses or contacts. Dr. Schulze did a phenomenal job, has been extremely thorough, patient with me and my numerous questions, very kind and professional. His staff is comprised of a group of fabulous ladies. I would recommend him over and over again. I wished I would have done this 10 years ago instead of waiting. I'll use him again if I have cataracts.

    At 11 AM, I phoned to set up an appointment and was happy to find out that there was one appointment at 3:15. I agreed. When I got to the office, I was greeted cordially, and all of my information was already in the computer (I see an Opthalmologist in the same practice.) I was sent to the waiting room where I barely had time to select a magazine to read before I called to an exam room where an assistant checked my sight, and glasses. I was then taken to another exam room where I waited about 10 minutes for the doctor. The exam was professionally done, and I was out the door in fewer than 30 minutes. I elected to purchase my glasses there, and did so without problems. NOTE: This provider has moved to 4 Okatie Center Blvd., Ste 102, Okatie, SC 29909 The phone numbers remain the same.

    She is really nice. She is very knowledgeable. She gives us a lot of good feedback. When I wanted to try contacts, she was helpful and supportive. Overall, she is very good.

    The surgery went very well. All staff performed at the highest level of competency. Our only complaint was the need for cleaner floors. There was debris on the floor in the waiting room. Additionally, there was pieces of tubing and papers on the floor in the recovery area. There was also dust bunnies on the counter when we originally checked in.
