On my Feb. 2011 refill the Pain Management office phoned me and told me they would not longer allow me to see Dr. Routon. They told me they were no longer available for me to see Dr. Routon or refill my meds. I tried to explain to the nurse what had happened but she didn't care and didn't want to listen.
Back in Dec. 2011 I had just picked up my refill from WalGreen's and drove home. They always staple the bag and when you drive off, that's it. When I got home I open the bottle to take 1 of my pills. It didn't look right to me, so i counted the pills. There were 74 pills in there... not the 120 (month's supply). So,
I recounted them... still 74. I then called WalGreen's and told them about it. They said they don't make mistakes... they count them. I told them someone miscounted while either busy or on the phone; it can happen. They still insisted they were right. So, I phoned the WalGreen's home office and told them what happened. The person I talked to said they would look into it.
That meant I was going to be without my pain med for 2 weeks. I knew I could not call Pain Management tell them I need 46 more pain pills. I had an appointment with my (used to be) primary care physician, he asked me how I was, he could see I was not well at all, so I told him about my back. He said he was going to give me a prescription, I truly needed something for the severe pain. I, of course did not take it to WalGreen's.
So, WalGreen's got highly upset with me because I reported them that they called Pain Management and told them I was using another doctor. I tried to explain to Pain Management that what I did was not because I was just seeking more meds. I did not have the month's supply of my medicine.
They didn't care... they chewed me out and sent me a letter stating I would no longer be allowed to come back. It hurt me to the point that I begged and cried, asking them to please give me 1 more chance. No dice, they don't care.
Everyone makes a mistake. How can they be so heartless? So inhumane? Do they have any compassion at all? I did not and would never abuse my meds. I wished there was a way I could have a 1 on 1 talk with Dr. Routon but they won't allow it.
    Dr. Routon please help me.

I am at my wits end.... I want to do the thing I have done before, like play with my granddaughter, go outdoors, walk in the mall...etc. But I can't. I had to leave school... can't walk from class to class anymore, like I did. I can't function anymore.
    Please help me!
