Richard Dais inspected our prospective home and did a very thorough job. He arrived on-time and made sure every inch inside and outside was checked. He was insistent with the present owners of the home that the basement area was to be maintained closed properly to ensure proper radon readings (part of his thoroughness - radon turned-out to be very high). He took time to explain his findings verbally at the home and in a complete report later. He also took time later to answer questions about the report and help with other questions regarding the home. In summary, he was thorough, was efficient, and went above-and-beyond the call of duty. He gave us information that saved us thousands of dollars with the purchase of the home. I recommend him highly!

We needed someone to come out to the office pretty quickly to paint an office and feature wall. Tom and team responded promptly, came out to give us an estimate the same day and came out to paint two days later. They were so efficient that they were able to paint a conference room that was planned for a later date, all on the same day! Excellent customer service, they did a great job. We will definitely use them again.

Jim was very professional and his expertise apparent in assisting us with conceptualizing a plan for extensive and complicated repairs on our home. The way he treated us during his assessment made us realize how awful our previous contractor was, and we wish we had used Jim from the beginning. His honesty and willingness to help us despite not being ready yet to hire him for the repairs restored our faith that there are still good, honest builders out there, and we look forward to working with him once we complete the necessary steps he helped us identify today.

Due to faulty work by the builder of my house, the shower pan and water proofing failed. I received a quote from Stacy at West Georgia Design Build to completely tear out the old shower back to the wall studs, install a new shower pan, install new wall board, water proof the entire shower, tile the shower, and run additional plumbing and install new shower fixtures. Additionally, drywall and baseboards were repaired from where the shower pan leaked. Stacy and Dwight provided a date to begin the work and Dwight and his crew arrived promptly on the agreed upon date. Dwight was able to show me where the leak had occurred after removing the old tile, and also pointed out several other shortcuts that had been taken by the builder (i.e., no waterproofing on any walls, tears in the water proofing membrane on the shower pan, spot application of cement to wall tiles, and a shower seat that had been installed using CINDER BLOCKS instead of 2x4 framing). Dwight and his crew showed up on time every day, cleaned up at the end of every day, and reinstalled the new shower as it should have been done in the first place, using the Triton Watertight System to waterproof the entire shower, as well as installing all new tile, and running the plumbing for a new rainhead shower. The new shower looks great and I am very happy with the work and professionalism of everyone in the company.

The men showed up on time and worked until the job was done. All work was done to our satisfaction and we were pleased with the results. Will call them back when we need other work to be done. Men were respectful of our house and if something had to be moved, they replaced it.

Brian did a beautiful job! I was so impressed with the way everything turned out! I can honestly say that my home is set apart from others in the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend him to do your next project.

Very large fabric selection at very good prices. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Also had them quote the reupholstery portion of the job, but do not believe they do this work in house and more and their quote was the highest of all quotes as I believe they were charging the going rate plus their markup. Did not select them for the work but the fabric was excellent.

I sent him a message to request a quote and he responded instantly. He came to our house and discussed our options including one that would have saved us a lot of money! He showed up to do the job at the set time and did a great job! We are well pleased and the new garage door looks great!

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Discovery Inspections In selecting Discovery for our inspection we relied on the advertising on their website (including veteran status, certifications, and satisfaction guarantee (We feel so strongly that youll be satisfied with our inspection service and our inspection report, we offer therefore a 200% guarantee.) and the firms online reviews. Unfortunately, it appears our inspector had a bad day and at least 19 defects fifteen of which range from $700 to $4,500 to correct were overlooked. We have made every attempt to work with their team to resolve this issue. We notified their team within 24 hours of receipt of the initial report (8/30) concerning our concerns about missing details and lack of information. We did not receive a call from Mr. Sloan until 9/7 eight days later to discuss our issues. Given the limited number of due diligence days in our home purchase agreement, we were forced to look to third-party firms to take a deeper look at the roof, the HVAC, electric and pool and spa to complete our due diligence by the contract deadline. There were no offers - verbal or written for a re-inspection from Discovery. Our third party roofer documented the second roof layer missed by our inspector, improper roofing materials used for the lower slope back roof, and an additional $4500 in needed repairs. The electric guy we sent out to check pool area concerns mentioned by the Seller during the inspection but not included in the Discovery report found pool lights spliced to form a three prong plug, no GFCI for pool lights and electric outlets in the outdoor kitchen adjacent. Our pool inspector found leaking pumps, missing timers, non- working pressure gauges and other issues totaling $1,600. Our HVAC guy was able to supply details not included in the original report. The report states we have stucco but made no attempt to identify the type. The report shows the left side of the home where the stucco continues below grade (not recommended.) This is our first stucco home and we have since learned since closing on the home from other contractors about the missed stucco issues on our home. Discoverys website promises a FREE termite inspection with every inspection ours seems to be MIA. By the time we closed on 9/27 we thought we knew everything we were getting in our new home. Imagine our horror when we opened the door and noticed the 8 foot x 2 foot section of water damage and wood rot in our wood cathedral ceiling. Or the mechanical room with on-demand heater and pumps using extension cords for electric. And of course the workshop area we planned to use for an office with extensive (90%) rust on the doors and electric panel, buckling walls and clear signs of water intrusion and the list goes on and on and on. We notified Discovery of the issues within 24 hours of taking possession of the home. Discovery did not meet with us to discuss the issues until 10/17. The Discovery owner has acknowledged the deficiencies in their inspection. In the past two weeks, we have had a dozen contractors through the home to get bids to fix the issues. All are amazed that Discovery missed these items. My husband and I are left with thousands of dollars in repairs not identified by their inspector. We recognize inspectors have bad days. Discovery has some great reviews so they must be doing something right. However, when their "performance" is so bad that it is going to cost their clients more than $10,000+++++ to fix the things they should have noticed, they should man up, give an apology and stand by their advertised warranty. LIke Mike Holmes says >>> Make it right. . So our two cents, think twice about using them. Their refund offer fell significantly short of the worthless 200% guarantee advertised in several places on their website. -- You will not know their "performance" is sub-par until you receive the report or move into your new home.

I hired West Georgia Design Build to remodel at my residence. In the master shower the floor did not drain properly due to Dwight installation errors. On the third attempt, the floor now drains properly, but a large portion of the tile is now lighter than the initial tile that was not repaired. In addition, there are grout coloration inconsistencies on the master shower flooring. We had discussed with Dwight that we did not want to see a difference in installation if he repaired only half of the floor. The grout in the master shower niche was mixed incorrectly by hired help when Dwight left the worksite. It was applied with poor craftsmanship and overlaps individual tiles resulting in a sloppy finished product. In the guest bath remodel, the plumbing was not installed correctly. This resulted in water leaking on the exterior and interior of the wall upon our first use. The water ran down inside the wall to the lower level of the house. We had to discontinue use of this shower to prevent water damage until Dwight came out to repair the issue. They did not take caution when moving materials during the remodel resulting in damage to hardwood floors and two walls. Final clean-up was not satisfactory as they left unused materials in the yard, including small pieces of tile and chunks of hardened grout. Stacy never came out to review the final product and is currently refusing to come and make things right. Were very disappointed with the issues mentioned above. I wish I could report resolution, but cannot at this time.
