FI called Tiger Repair to inspect and repair my lawnmower. Israel came to my home and stated that the mower needed to be taken to their business for further work, but that it would be returned to me within a few days. After one week, I contacted Tom, the owner, to ask about the status of the mower. He stated that he was in the process of fixing it. After another week passed, I again wrote to Tom to get an update. He did not respond to any of several contact attempts. As of this writing, it has been three weeks since the original appointment and two since he provided any information. I do not know where my lawnmower is nor whether Tom still has custody of it. At best, this is atrocious customer service and rank incompetence, and I am forced to consider other, less optimistic explanations for this set of circumstances. I encourage you to look elsewhere.

FI called Sears and was connected to an operator who was very hard to understand. She was going to set up a service call for Saturday. She wanted my credit card number to pay the $89.00 cost of the visit. She then proceeded to try to sell me insurance on the washer for future repairs. I said I wasn't interested. She then tried to sign me up for their "free" home consulting. I'm not interested in that! I finally told her to forget the whole thing. This morning I got a call telling me my service was set up for 8am- 4pm. I had to call again today to tell them again that I'm not interested. I know every employer has certain programs they probably push, but I told the operator that I spoke to today that whoever determines this pushy sales program needs to know that customers who are calling about a repair are already stressed out and do not react well to being given a hard sell by someone whose first language is clearly not English! I would rather replace every appliance in my home than to have to deal with the Sears repair hotline!

FAthens Power ProThe company was unable to get to my mower for a minimum of THREE WEEKS (it's mid-summer - when you need your mower the most). But almost as bad was the apathetic attitude of the person I dealt with. I drove the riding mower to the dealership in my truck (I'm lucky to have a truck that transports the mower, but could be a problem for someone without a truck or trailer), and once at the dealership, I was required to unload the mower out of my pickup truck, by myself, onto the loading dock. A nicer service rep (only saw him once) told me they would try to have it repaired within a few days. But I called the company three days later only to find out that they wouldn't even be able to look at the mower for three weeks! So, I went back to the shop, and was directed to go back to the loading dock where I once again had to get the mower into my truck by myself. No work done on the mower, and no one at the shop seemed particularly concerned about it. Poor service and poor business model. I won't go back.- Wendy Sue M.

FJenkins 2 Cycle & mower IncThis company took two of my lawnmowers for repair. One riding lawnmower and one push mower. They kept them 12 days. They brought them back to my house. The push mower worked. I got on the riding lawnmower, it cranked, but the blades made a loud screeching noise and would not turn. The next day I called Mr. Jenkins. He told me that he did not test the lawnmowers because we did not ask him too. He stated that he would come back and work on it, but would charge me again. He stated that he only does what is asked for him to do. And since we did not ask him to test the lawnmower he did not. He stated that he had been sued a few times for doing things that the customer did not ask for and they did not want to pay. I told him that if he called the customer and told them what is wrong with the lawnmower and the price that would stop that. He told me that he did not have time to call every customer. I asked him if he checked the lawnmower after the blades were placed, he said he did not, That we did not ask. He said he does not check the lawnmowers that is brought to him he just does what the customer ask. I told him that I could not tell him what to fix, because I don't know anything about lawnmowers. Bottom Line I paid for a service to have my lawnmower fixed. It still does not work and I have to pay another person to fix it. He never called me with an estimate. By his own words never checked anything out on the lawnmower other than the electrical and to put new blades.- Sara C.
