AApex Exteriors LLCWe contacted Apex Exteriors through the Angie’s List website for an estimate on 2 different projects. One project involved the removal of EIFS stucco from around two sets of windows and replacing it with the same cypress wood siding found on the remainder of our home. The second project involved the addition of a paver patio to the side of our home. Mr. Lopez called us almost immediately to schedule a meeting to discuss our projects. Julio came to our home in a very timely manner and was very professional from the start. We had received estimates from other contractors, but it was clear that Apex Exteriors was the right choice for us. Due to a customer’s requested delay in their project, Apex was able to start our projects immediately. The workers arrived and began working straight away demoing the EIFS. Julio subcontracted the paver patio project. Everyone, yes everyone, was very polite and certainly knew their trade. Julio was also onsite during much of the entire process. Once the wood siding had been installed, it was sealed in accordance to local building standards and then painted. The subcontractor prepared the patio area and placed the pavers over a two day period. They were sealed on a third day. All demoed materials were removed from the property and the town inspector was called to review the work and close out our permit. Both of our projects were completed in a very timely manner and we are very pleased with the entire process. We would highly recommend Julio and his company, Apex Exteriors LLC, to others.- Bill H.

AApex Exteriors LLCApex Exteriors just completed a major project for us. Our home had developed leaks behind the vinyl siding. The siding was removed for inspection revealing extensive OSB/wood rot. Damaged areas were removed and replaced by plywood sheathing and wrapped in Tyvek house wrap. Studs were trimmed down and replaced/shored up with new studding. Support wood was replaced by new wood pier to pier. New installation was installed as was the Hardie board trim above the brick façade. Vinyl was reinstalled and kick out flashings/window header flashings were installed as required to prevent future leakage. The crew was dedicated and professional, even working through the rain at times to cover the exposed area to prevent more damage from occurring. The crew foreman was extremely knowledgeable and ensured the work went smoothly. I would recommend Julio and his team to others needing exterior work on their homes. They delivered on the promise to restore our home to its proper state.- Len Q.

ARiverside PaintingMarco provided a very detailed and complete estimate of work needed and Lino and Team did an incredible job. Lino was very professional and detail oriented making sure that we were completely happy. They showed up at the same time everyday, 8:30am and worked until 6-7pm weather permitting. Even worked on Saturday to complete the job on time! His team did a great job on the house, trim, windows, sealing, priming and painting. No surprises with the final bill, Lino discussed any extra work needed up front. We will use them again! This is the 1st time I have used a contractor for any service that went 100% smoothly with no worries. They did not leave the house until we had the final walk through and were happy!- JOHN W.

AAll went very well. Sam Dolan is a real pro. in the quoting dept. The guys who did the roofing repairs worked very hard and had very good customer skins as well. I had one small issue with the work and they corrected it on the spot, These guys are real pros. The price was good for the overall workmanship. I would hire them again, and I highly recommend them.

AThey were on time and professional. The job did not go without problems though. After installation we had a rainy day and had several leaks at the back porch cover. They did come back within 2 days and fixed the problem. Also had some shingles that were sticking up on the roof and they added more glue and that fixed the problem. As far as I can tell at this point, all leaks have been fixed in a timely manner. They were quick to respond to our problem. I would hire them again, but my husband was super upset and he does not share my sentiment. He did not expect any problems after job completion. I was much more calm and had no doubt they would come back and all would be well....which it was in the end.

DThe short and sweet… The product failed in less than 5 years and we were disappointed with the customer service response! We don't recommend using their product. We struggled to give two stars... The B ratings are for the painters. Not the owner in customer service. Our side of the story if you care to read on…. We thought Rhino Shield, Georgia was providing us a superior product that would last us a long time, given the 25 year warranty they were promoting. We would have been happy with 10-12 years. We didn’t even have a big problem with paying the extra cost for this product because we thought we were buying extra time too. Turns out we paid extra for nothing! Initially it looked great and we were happy with the finish. However, our house started fading between years 4 & 5. We hired someone to pressure wash our house hoping that if it didn’t restore the paint color it would make it better. We were wrong! The exterior of our house is roughly 25 percent stucco and 75 percent Hardie Plank. The fading occurred on the one side that gets the majority of the sun throughout the day, a side cover by Hardie Plank. We called Rhino Shield about the fading. Customer service explained there was a chemical problem with their paint and Hardie Plank. A problem they were unaware of when they painted our house but had since taken actions to address it. We assumed they’d make it right with little to no fuss because they knew there was a problem. This is why you shouldn’t ASSume! Believe it or not, they blamed it on the Hardie Plank and suggested we take it up with the manufacturer. We were stunned at the position they initially took! We had to argue like **** in order for them to treat it like a warranty problem and then to get some sort of price relief; just to repaint the one badly faded side of our house… not including the trim. Still shaking our heads… This was a bad experience for us and the owner’s response to our problem was completely disappointing, given their claims!
