  • It went well. The service man was very honest and detailed in his explanations. He told me that it would be more cost effective to replace my washing machine, but he was able to repair my refrigerator. I was charged a service fee for each appliance, but the fee charged was much less than other local repairmen had quoted.

  • He just came out and I told him the problem. He didn’t even touch the machine or anything, he just told me it would cost a lot of money to have it repaired. I decided not to repair. He came out to look, but he didn’t really do anything. I’m not sure if I would use them again. I told him the problem with my washer and he didn’t even open it or anything like that. It would probably be additional charges if he did any extra. I just don’t like that I had to pay $45, I could have done that over the phone. That just didn’t seem right to me or fair.

  • Repairman (Oleg) called before coming, came exactly when he said he would. He quickly diagnosed the problem and performed the repair--which turned out to be very complicated, and took over an hour. He was extremely professional, and explained everything as he was doing it. I wish there were more repairmen as competent and professional as Oleg! He emailed an additional receipt immediately, which he had promised to do. In addition to the repair, he offered to vacuum out the coils under the refrigerator, at an additional (reasonable) cost. This had not been done in 10+ years, so was most appreciated. We were extremely pleased with the service and would definitely recommend them. He honored the 10% Angie's List discount in determining the bill.

  • Arrived within 10 minutes of calling to say he was on the way.  Ran a test wash and knew right away what the problem was.  Replaced the part and within one hour of arriving problem fixed.  While he was there he also checked the dryer vents going outside the house and blew them clear.  Very professional and fast.  Will definitely call him again if needed.

  • They arrived for the initial visit on time and spent time attempting to repair the washer.  After they replaced the 4 drum struts, they said that they would need to order parts.
    The problem we encountered is a common one with Samsung front loader washers.  After 5 years, the bearings wear out and have to be replaced along with the drum seal.
    They said they would be back out that Friday to finish the repairs.  We received a bill for $370 the next day.  They were supposed to come out later that same week to finish the work, the part had not arrived.  The next time they were supposed to be there they had to cancel due to a family emergency.  The following week they arrived to complete the work.
    They told us that the additional repairs would cost $1100 as they had to replace the drum, spider, bearing and seal.
    Obviously this was more expensive than purchasing a new washer, so we opted to not continue the repairs.  We were then told we could get a %50 discount on the entire bill if we would give them a good review on Angie's List as "We are having issues with reviews and could use the help."
    We told them again we did not want to do the repair.  Mr. McKoy told us at that point that "we did not owe them anything as they had not repair the washer." We asked about the $370 invoice we had received and again he told us, "we did not owe them anything, put that money towards a new washer", and he left.
    About 20 minutes later he called telling us he could complete the job for $400, we declined.  They have not contacted us again.
    We have done additional research and have found that the bearings and seal kit is available from, ,cost is $79.99 plus tax.  There is a forum section on this website for people who have done this repair and used these kits.  A bit more research led to various YouTube videos on how to do this repair.  Apparently it is a common issue on Samsung front load washers after 4 to 5 years.
    Trying to get us to give them a positive review in exchange for a %50 discount is a bit shady in my book. No, I would not recommend this company to anyone.
    I am disappointed in how things turned out.  I've not encountered a problem with any other services I have sourced though Angie"s List.  I guess there is a first time for everything.

  • He spent less than a hour.  I did not stand and watch him during the entire process because the space was very small.  I don't know what he did to the washer except wipe the seals. I think he ran a hot cycle through the washer with a cleaner. I really did not see him do anything to the dryer but I heard his vacuum cleaner, so I assumed he sucked out all the collected lint and fluff.  It did not appear that he moved either of these appliances so I do not believe he vacuumed out the dryer vent hose, although he said he did.  The refrigerator required some work.  He vacuumed the coil.  He conditioned the seals and replaced the water dispenser hose to the tune of $140.00.  Replacing the hose took about 5 minutes.   I did not receive a written statement of tasks completed.  I told him to move the throw rugs while he was working.  All he did was fold them over.  I was unable to remove the rugs because of back surgery.  He had to come in through the front door, and wore nothing to protect my floors and rugs from his dirty work boots.  His cleanup was unacceptable as he left me with dirty tile floors in the kitchen and laundry rooms to clean myself.  He tried to sell me a surge protector for the refrigerator for over $100.  I bought my own at Home Depot for $6.97.  As far as the remaining appliances were concerned:  He opened the microwave and looked inside, opened the oven done and looked inside, ran a hot cycle through my dishwasher, and looked into the dark disposal unit and said it was all fine.  I could have most all of these things myself.  $99.00 was an outrageous charge for the services I received.
    This is the second bad experience I've had with Angie's List.  I will not use the service again.

  • I called at approximately 10:30AM explaining the issue with my oven. The gal that answered the phone already knew by the description what the issue was. She contacted the repairman to see where he was at and I got a call back not that long after telling me that he would be at my home in about 15-20 minutes. Fifteen minutes later he was ringing the doorbell. He validated what was wrong, replaced the part (he just happened to have one on his truck), and he was on his way. About two hours from my initial call and the part was replaced and the oven was working again. Will definitely use these guys again in the future for any appliance repair issues.

  • This was the FIFTH attempt and it is still not repaired.  Unfortunately, GE insists on this company for their warranty service and it has been a total disaster.


    They have only 120 characters in their system to write notes, so the new guy shows up and has to try and diagnose everything all over again.  Often, they disagree with the previous diagnosis, so we now have over $1200 worth of parts and repairs billed to GE to try and fix this $400 washing machine.

    Tried to contact supervisor and was told that they can't be contacted directly.  Customer service sends them an e-mail, from San Antonio, asking them to contact me.  No luck so far.

    Overall it's the kind of thing where you just throw up your hands and start thinking about giving up.
