    Horrible Customer Service!

    Took in excess of 5 weeks to have 2 cables replaced on my mower. I had to call them 7 times to get updates on the status of the repairs. With the exception of once from Justin, I never received a follow up call even though they stated they would call me back on 3 separate occasions. After call 7, I stated that it was ridiculous that it was taking this long. Their response was, "Well, you can come pick it up now then." Wow! Not the response I anticipated but I guess I should have after 5 weeks.

    When I went to pick it up I questioned why it took so long and they stated they had to order the parts. I asked why didn't you give me a call and just let me know it was going to take longer? His response was, "We do the best we can and if we stopped to follow up with every customer we would be further behind than we are." A complete lack of pride and ownership by anyone at this place. Take your business elsewhere!

    To be clear, I'll just never be comfortable again trusting this company with any of my equipment.
    On ~ 4/10/2015, I called to have my lawn tractor picked up for repair.  My complaint was very specific - the starter cranks, but the engine did not start.  They had somebody pick up the machine within one day.
    On ~ 4/23/2015, I made my second followup inquiry (I didn't record the date of the first.) I was told that the mechanic was at lunch and working on an estimate.  I asked to have an additional item added to the diagnosis list - slow transmission speed - but I was told that they always prepare a thorough estimate of everything in need of attention.  I left the company expecting a phone call that afternoon or the next day for sure.  No such call.
    On  ~4/30/2015, I again inquired about the status of my machine, and was told that it was the very next machine to be worked on. I was confused, but I don't like to micromanage, so I just assumed that perhaps I had misunderstood the information given me on the previous phone call. 
    On ~ 5/7/2015, I again inquired about the status of my machine.  After some confusing information from the first person on the phone, I asked to speak with the general manager.  David picked up the phone and told me that they were waiting for new blades to be delivered.  I replayed the above scenario for him and demanded the immediate return of my equipment.  He stated that he lacked the needed manpower to do so, but offered to deliver it on 5/11/2015.  To my surprise, my lawn tractor appeared back home on the promised date, and it actually started.  I have no idea how long it will work.  At least it is out from under the spell.

    Took Glenn less than 30 minutes to diagnose, clean, fix my carburetor and replace a low quality spark plug with a Champion one.  He came to my house one day earlier than scheduled and did all this while I watched him in my driveway.  
    I had my Toro lawn mower serviced for maintenance by Reels Lawn Mower Repair and Service 3 weeks before it died during my second mowing.  Though I had spoken to Reels Lawn Mower Repair and Service 3 days earlier to repair my lawn mower, I had not heard back from them by 4/30/2015, so I contacted Mower Medic.  Glenn scheduled a visit for 5/2/2015 but came one day earlier (refreshing to be serviced early rather than forgotten) and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem in my driveway with me watching!  His rate for his service is very competitive and I would highly, highly recommend him.  So much so, that I am posting him on my subdivision's website.

    Reels Lawn Mower Repair and Service
    The maintenance may have been alright, but I can't say for sure so I have to give a grade of " C". 
    Richard and his wife picked up my lawn mower on 3/17/2015.  I had not heard from them for several days, so I called  to find out the status of my lawn service.  Rachel told me that they were "slammed" and she'd get back to me when my lawn mower would returned to me.  At nearly 2 weeks, I called again and Rachel said that my mower was ready but they had been too "slammed" to return it to me.  On 3/31/2015, I got my mower back.
    After I got my mower back, I was able to mow my lawn once and during the second time, it sputtered several times before finally dying 3 weeks after it was returned to me on 3/31/2015.  I spoke to Richard on 4/25/2015 and explained that I had gotten my mower serviced by him 3 weeks earlier but I needed it repaired now.  I asked if he was too busy because I would like for him to repair it; he said it would take a couple of days of repair.  He said he'd pick it up on 4/27/2015 during the afternoon.  On 4/27/2015 while I was out Richard left a voice message in the morning  that his father would be in my area and would be able to pick my mower up but to please call back.  I called back around 1:00 pm and Rachel answered saying she'd try to reach her father-in-law but if she couldn't, it would be a couple of days before they could pick up my mower. 
    Since I learned not to call Rachel for any follow-up and I had not heard from her by 4/30/2015, I called Mower Medic to fix my lawn mower.  Mower Medic came to my home on 5/1/2015, fixed the carburetor at my home, tested it a few times (waiting about 5 minutes between each test) to be sure it was working fine and charged me $50.
    Due to Reels Lawn Mower Repair and Service's workload and inability to communicate the status of service, I have had to remove them from my subdivision's recommendation webpage.  Sadly, I have decided to switch to Medic Mower which is much closer to my home anyway and comparable/better in cost, particularly for small quick jobs that can be done as a home visit.

    Response to Reels:
    For clarification purposes to potential customers, there is a pickup/delivery charge of $30.  To properly set customer expectations, it would be best to inform customers before accepting a job, how long a backlog of work is.  That would permit customers to decline service.

    Reels Lawn Mower Repair and Service
    I took our 10 year old Ryobi string trimmer and edger attachment in because it would only run on full choke and stop when over heated. I had paid another place to fix it and they made it worse. I was ready to buy new... After I explained the issue to Richard, I started back to my car. Before I could get in and leave, I heard the engine start and the throttle work. They stopped me before I could leave. He tested both attachments. "It was only a small adjustment" he said. It should work fine now. My wife asked how much we owed and he said... nothing! Nothing!! I was stunned. Anywhere else there would have been a full service charge. This is the best and most honest service I have ever received. I would highly recommend using them for any service needs you have.

    Excellent! I cannot rave enough about Mobile Mower Medics! Our push mower is about 7 years old & was having problems with it's front wheel drive mechanism. Derrick arrived on time & immediately worked to repair the mower. After that, he gave th mower a quality tune up. The mower runs the best that it has in years. I highly recommend Mobile Mower Medics!

    Found company through the Snapper website, as the closest authorized dealer, initial contact was very positive - went downhill from there.
    The initial pick-up should have been a sign of things to come, three straight days of missed pick-up - with no call(s) each time when I called I was told the driver would be out the following day, finally when the pick-up occur I learned their truck had been in the shop (would have been nice to know that 3 days ago).
    First estimate was 5-7 days for the repair, initial estimate ~$300, will call if it will be more than $350.  Two weeks - no call from
    dealer, and does not answer when I call.  After three weeks, four weeks,five weeks of waiting - finally and update - we "ordered" the parts should be another week, but it will be over $350 - something around $400.
    At no time did the dealer ever contact me or provide accurate information, at no time did the dealer apologize for the delays, at no time did the dealer offer any type of discount for the delays.  In late September - I was called by the driver - the mower was ready (~2 months from pick up for what I was told would be a 1 week repair).  The pull-start was now broken (has never been an issue before) - as they unload the mower they are beating on the pull-start to get it work; we could take it back to the shop - should be a few days to fix - No!! - Please just put it down and walk away.
    There were weeks and weeks of begging for an update - nothing, never even close to an apology, broke items that were working when it was picked up.  In general, just plain bad customer service - I would not use them again.  Shortly after parking the mower in the driveway - I finally learn the final total - $450 (up another $50 from the last call) - then to add the final insult after weeks of waiting for pick-up and the slow service - just noticed they forgot the delivery charge that will be another $45.00
    If this is the only Snapper dealer in the area - then this will absolutely be my last Snapper mower.

    Reels Lawn Mower Repair and Service (Richard Shores at 770.587.3919 ) does a quick and very reasonable service on lawn equipment. I used him to fix my Toro lawn mower which spewed white smoke and sputtered for a couple of seconds after pulling the cord to start the motor. Could never get the mower to run more than 2 seconds. Richard Shores initially diagnosed a problem with carburetor and quoted $35 to repair it. After he got into the repair, he said the problem wasn't as bad as he thought and charged only $20 for the work he did on the carburetor. He picked up and delivered my lawn mower for a nominal fee. To sharpen the blade while he was fixing the carburetor, it cost $5. The price for this posting includes the pickup and delivery. Took him only 2 days to turn around the repair. What more can you ask when you get good, honest service?!

    If there was a grade better than A, I would give that grade to John at Blooming Yard.  My mower was ready the next morning after dropping it off.  I appreciate that he was very honest how long the repairs might last given the condition of my mower.  He gave me tips on how the problem was created and how to avoid it going forward -- and his rates are very reasonable.   He clearly knows his stuff!  I will use Blooming Yard Equipment Repair for all my lawn equipment service!  I highly, highly recommend this service.
