    Ameriprise Financial
After my stepfather died last year, my family and I worked with Andrew Hanna of Ameriprise Financial to transfer ownership of the account to my mother. Andrew provided excellent advice and compassionate, prompt customer service to help us navigate through a difficult time, and in an area of financial planning in which we had no prior experience. He was very generous with his time and never rushed us to make any decisions. His assistant was also very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I met with John to handle a 401k rollover and we really like his approach to financial planning.  First, he met with us to determine our retirement goals and objectives.  Then, he developed a plan that incorporated our risk tolerance, time horizon, inflation
estimates and tax implications. He consulted with us at each step in the process, and listened to our thoughts and concerns.  I feel that he came up with the best plan for our needs.  John continues to work with us and make changes to our investments based on our specific situation.  He offers professional and personal service.

Its an on going thing. Pricing is based on the amount of money that you have with them. They are excellent. I never had the pricing compared. I don't know what everybody else charges. I have an awesome financial planner.

    Bud Scannavino
Bud Scannavino, a local insurance agent provider, has been handling my health and life insurance for the past 8 years.  I have come to completely trust Bud to do the annual research necessary in order for me to have the best coverage for my particular needs at the lowest possible cost.

Bud is very service oriented (unselfish) in his approach to helping people with insurance needs.  Health insurance companies change their benefit structures continuously.  I've learned that if you don't read the fine print on your renewal policy, what you had last year may not be best for you this year.  Bud takes care of all that by doing extensive research.  Last year alone he saved me over $1,800 in medical insurance payments.

Bud is easy to talk to and applies no sales pressure in his presentation. I highly recommend him and if you would like to talk with Bud about your insurance too, his phone number is 404-319-1697. He does medicare, life insurance, and retirement planning.

He is probably the most honest financial advisor I have ever come across. I find it very hard to find someone in that profession like that. Every year he always delivers a profit to us even in these bad financial times.

Caveat emptor. I was alarmed to find three funds in the portfolio selected by this firm with expense ratios greater than 3%/year! I had paid the firm 1%/year to protect me from exactly this type of Wall St. finesse, or so I believed. For the three funds, regardless of performance, over 4%/year off the top was evaporating into other pockets. To me, the explanation was in serious conflict with the stated "sole objective of creating cost-effective strategies that will grow our clients? portfolios." I'm guilty of not performing basic due dilligence early and often, but I thought I was paying this firm to do that for me.

It did not go well at all. After three months, the hold time on deposits was reduced from 5 to 10 days to 0 to 2 days. Deposits made in October 2006 resulted in a 17 business day hold during which no earnings on investments or deposits. The manager said there was no way anyone could release the holds. The manager at Johnson Ferry and Woodlawn branch accepted two deposits in the last 7 days and removed all holds on accounts while I waited. They moved investment accounts to Citigroup, and there were no holds on deposits and no fees.
