    Tractorworx Enterprises INC.
RON did an excellent job. I will have him back in January to clear some dead trees and branches. He did more than what I expected. He even cleaned up the broken branches. He removed two full loads of brush. I am super happy, with price and work performed. Thank you Ron!

They where very professional and timely in service. The crew showed up promptly, were courteous and exceeded our expectations. The clean up after completion of services again exceeded our expectations

    Trees and More
Red flags from the start; I should never have hired them. One of the owners responded to my call and was overly casual and unprofessional on the phone. I had to drive three hours to meet him, and then he wanted to reschedule our meeting because of a light, misting drizzle. When I got him to come out, we discussed the removal of several trees and large bushes around the property, but he didn't take any notes and didn't prepare any paperwork. He quoted me a price that I thought was reasonable, based on past tree service I have had done, and told me they could do the work within two weeks. The timing was very important for me, as I was trying to get the house on the market for sale. He also told me he would prepare and send me an invoice/proposed work order and that he would put me in touch with another service provider to do some clearing of underbrush I wanted done (and for which Trees & More did not have the correct equipment). I never received any paperwork nor any referral to another service provider. Three weeks went by, with no service. I called to ask as to the status of the job, and the owner had trouble remembering me and my location. When I reminded him, he couldn't remember the specifics of the tree service I wanted, despite spending about an hour with me on site. He gave me some excuse about his firm being really successful and busy, and that they scheduled their jobs in local clusters, so maybe that's why they hadn't gotten to me yet. He promised that they would complete the job shortly. Almost another three weeks went by with no word from Trees & More or the owner, and no work done. I called back and received the same excuses. When I reminded him that I hired him because he had promised the work would be done within two weeks -- and we were now about a month behind schedule -- he told me again that the firm tried to schedule a job when there were other jobs nearby. Now, I'm in Macon, not out in the boonies somewhere. When I pressed him for specifics, he could not give me a specific date on which the work would be done. He could not even confirm that the work would be done within the next several weeks. He also no longer remembered what work needed to be done, so I was not confident at all that he would appear on site and remove the correct trees even when he did bother to show up. Plus, the owner with whom I spoke apparently decided that it would be fine to use racist slurs and to volunteer out of nowhere his negative attitudes towards black people in general and in Macon specifically when having conversations with me. I finally cancelled the service I had booked, after wasting nearly a month and a half and putting me way behind schedule in my plan to stage the house for sale. Avoid these unprofessional and unreliable people.

    Trees and More
These guys are amazing! Took down four oak trees and left no trace of their existence! One of the trees was growing into a power line and they took care of it without any problems. In addition, they took down a fence so they could grind some old stumps for me and then put the fence back up! All of this for $400 less than my next closest quote! Long story short, these guys rock, don't hesitate to call them! The only downside is there are very busy so it may take a while.

    Gray Brothers Tree Service
They were very prompt in responding for an estimate. I told them I did want to use them and they marked the trees. That was in October. They said they would probably get to it in November. Never heard anything. Emailed and called the website. Nothing. I called the person that came the first time and he said it had been too wet and they needed to use a crane. February came and I called again. I got the same story, so I told them I would get someone else. I did and they cut them down within 2 weeks without using a crane. I hear GBTS does a good job when they get to it. I just thought 4 months was a little ridiculous. Not sure if I would call again. Hoping I don't need someone.

    Gray Brothers Tree Service
We had more than 25 trees removed and hired them for a daily rate of $3000. It was cheaper to hire them by the day for this much work. Their daily rate was less than other quotes from competitors. They used smaller equipment for the trees in back so they wouldn't destroy our driveway. They were really hard workers, cleaned up the debris and were anxious to please. We bought them pizza for lunch and had drinks available. They were clean cut young men and did an amazing job.

    Blalock Tree Works
His crew did an excellent job. Of 4 tree service contractors we got estimates from he is the only one that showed up to do the work. He came buy on a Sunday, provided me with a reasonable estimate, just a bit higher than the average and said that he would get back to me later in the week. True to his word he came over late Thursday, took down 1 tree and came back the next day and completed the work.

    Gray Brothers Tree Service
Absolutely frustrated, I was referred to this company by a landscaper (who turned out to be a disappointment too) birds of a feather. Okay, I contacted someone at the company and he went by and gave me an estimate (that was basically the last time they communicated with me). Three weeks later I called to give them the job, I asked if he would meet me at the job to get an understanding of the scope of the job. He told me he doesnt work on the weekends (a red flag went off) and they are professionals. Okay, one day I received a call stating that a tree company was on the property removing trees. I did not receive a call from them or a heads ups that they were going to perform the job. I had someone to pay them thinking the job was performed correctly, and when I got to the property that weekend, I was so disappointed. They left trees very near the house and some touching the storage building in back. I immediately called them, and they sent me a text message a few days later stating that they would look at the job again. I did not hear from them for several weeks, but someone told me that they had returned to the property. I could not see any difference. For the next few weeks, I left them many messages and no response. Finally, a calm talking man called and said we did what we should have done and we are finished with the job. But you could pay us $600 more and we will finish the job.

    Mike's Tree Service
Contacted Mike in August to remove a large tree near the house/deck that had started to rot at the base.  I contacted him solely because of his "A" rating on Angie's List.  Mike arrived on-time to perform an estimate, and quoted $400.00, a price I agreed to.  We also agreed to remove the tree a couple of weeks later when we could both fit it into our schedules.  I wanted to be there at the time of service since the tree was very close to the house, and the lawn has a delicate in-ground sprinkler system.
After a couple of weeks, I called Mike several times to schedule the appointment.  He was very reluctant to commit to an actual time, or even an actual date.  I do understand that outdoor weather plays a factor; however  I could not get him to understand that the answer, "I'll call you when I'm swinging by" is not acceptable for a customer who DOES have a schedule to keep.  Nevertheless, I took a leap of faith, and wasted an entire afternoon waiting for Mike to show.  No Mike, no phone call, no anything, just a rotting tress still tottering dangerously close to my house.
I asked around my circle of friends (one of whom works at Ga Power), and got another recommendation.  He took down the tree 3 days later for $325.

    Gray Brothers Tree Service
Fantastic job!  Three of the trees I wanted removed were directly next to power lines and, using a crane, they removed them with absolutely no issues.   Gray Brothers cleaned up and were done with everything in a little under 4 hours.  Very impressive.
