DESCRIPTION OF WORK
History of colon cancer in my family, so I have colonoscopies on a 5-year schedule. This was my fourth, all by Dr. Heacock. All have gone smoothly, with polyps removed each time and no complications. He always takes the time to answer questions and follows up with the pathology reports. As with any hospital procedure, you should have your insurance house in order. I had problems with the hospital concerning my policy benefits, but all went smoothly with Dr. Heacock's office. A colonoscopy is nothing to fear, and done regularly is almost 100% effective in preventing colon cancer. And honestly, the prep is worse than the procedure.
